I wanted to get a full, unbiased assessment of the condition of the house so I could move forward with repairs or modifications in a sensible and knowledgeable way. Mike was very thorough and checked every square inch of the house and explained each issue as he encountered it as well as record it for the report. He never seemed impatient with my questions and really took his time. There were a few areas that were difficult to access and instead of skipping over them, he helped took even more time to gain access. For example, there was a crawl space/attic only accessible by a small hatch that was completely stuck shut, even the inspector when I bought the house a decade ago didn't open it (and I am embarrassed to say I bought the house without it being opened), but Mike helped me gain access so he could check for water, mold, or structural issues. He also checked the roof, only accessible via a ladder. He was on time (actually sitting in his truck 10 minutes before the appointment time) and extremely respectful of covid-19 safety protocol. About four or five days later I got a lengthy report covering every issue, the severity, etc. Getting the inspection will save me thousands on getting wonky quotes or unnecessary work done. It also gave me an idea of what will come up in the buyer's inspection down the road. It was definitely a wise move as a seller and I absolutely would recommend him for buyers. He will leave no stone un turned. AND he's a contractor so he's not just checking boxes -- he has the expertise I needed. Well worth the expense.
