I took the Beginners Sushi Making Class last year through a LivingSocial deal…read more Plus: The chef was very knowledgeable and the overall experience was fantastic, especially with company. Minus: The class started an hour late because the materials hadn't arrived yet but to compensate, they offered a glass of wine to all participants. All in all, we loved the class so much that they had a promotion to attend other classes they offered but at a much deeper discount. I enrolled 6 people for the French Cooking Class, but had specifically asked if they could accommodate a weekend class and they said they could. A year later and to much frustration, I asked for a refund because they kept promising to book a Saturday class but never did, so 1 star down for all the hassle. If you're going to use I-wish, just be prepared to purchase & use your LivingSocial or Groupon asap. I def agree that they aren't the greatest at responding back and they have so much to improve upon in the D.C. area as they say they are very successful in other major metropolitan cities like Chicago.

EACH one has been cancelled within 2 days or less: 10/1/12 5/30/12 5/29/12 5/14/12 4/16/12 3/12/12 This is the most unprofessional company I have ever come across. They will never get my business and I will be posting this on ALL of their social media pages. Don't waste your money or time bothering to schedule these pipe dream classes.

I take hosting seriously and am a particularly great but demanding client. I have lost count of the events Chef Cisero has done for me. He has done an 8 person Christmas dinner to a 40 people party with bartenders, servers and valet parkers. He is also great with a wide range of people I once hosted a dinner with the former International Commander of the Navy, a General in the Marines and an Astro Physicist all at the same time and they just loved him. Then I did an event with my silly bottle popping friends and he did just as well there. Chef Cisero greets guests upon their arrival and speak about each course as it's being served. He tells of what inspired the menu and his delivery leaves guests fascinated with his creativity and thoughtfulness. When talent meets superb interpersonal skills and work ethic, its as good as you ever gonna get! :) Cheers!

I did not give him much to prepare a menu other than saying she loved fusion food and that Mexican was one of her favorites. The menu chef sent me was innovative and far exceeded even my (high) expectations. They arrived on time, set up everything and ensured that they provided us with disposable serving ware since we were in a hotel. The food was absolutely fantastic and we even came back and noshed on it more in the late night hours. Chef Cisero is both detail-oriented and intent on expanding the palates of guests. Even guests that "don't eat that" found themselves eating new things because of his exemplary presentation and the outstanding blend of tastes. I will not hesitate to book Chef again and strongly encourage anyone looking to wow their guests to book with him also, you will not be disappointed.

If I attend another one of his classes, I'm going to bring questions with me because I have direct access to an experienced chef. -Despite his teaching ways, he's funny. I don't know where he got his presentation skills from, but it's obvious that he's very experienced in talking to a variety of people. ______ FOOD I think Rupen cooks traditionally. For example, his butter chicken tastes slightly less creamy than restaurant butter chicken, but it's still soooooo good. Rupen cooked way more than he said he would (tasting serving sizes). I guess that's good for me because I got to get a bigger portion than expected. _____ TIP If you have tupperware, bring it just in case there's leftovers and you want to take something home.

He's incredibly personable and funny and makes you feel welcome to be in the kitchen. His recipes are simple and even transferable, he gives great inspiration. We made butter chicken, tilapia steamed in banana leaf and eggplant curry. The tilapia was probably the most amazing fish cooked indian style that I have ever eaten. We have made it at home a few times since the class. I would definitely attend his cooking class again! You won't be disappointed.

How do I give 6 stars? 7 stars? 100? Dan and JewelryClassDC deserve them, and more…read more I worked with Dan to make my engagement ring and it was an unforgettable experience. It can feel like a real leap of faith to do something so personal and important in such an unconventional way, and to put your trust in a stranger and in your own ability to learn something you have never even considered before--but I am so glad I took it. I have an experience I will remember for the rest of my life, my fiancée (she said yes of course!) has a beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind heirloom she adores and values beyond measure, and we have a story we will tell over and over again. She is already getting questions about where I found her ring, and her friends are already gushing about how amazed they are I made it. Honestly, I am amazed too. I wasn't sure I could make a ring that looked better than a beginner's craft project!--but that was before I met Dan. I had a personal design idea that not only do they not sell in stores, they don't even really sell jade cut how I needed. As far as I can tell, no one had done this before. Well, now someone has, it turned out incredible, and it's all because Dan made it possible. He went above and so far beyond. As a craftsman he is not just skilled, but meticulous, and determined to make sure every product he works on meets his high standard of excellence. As a teacher he is patient, knowledgeable, and eager to share and show what he knows--which is a lot.  And to top it all off, he is a real man of his word--exactly the kind of person you want to put your trust in when dealing with precious metals, stones, and memories. In short, they don't 'em like Dan anymore--that goes for his character, and his jewelry. If you need jewelry made, if you need jewelry worked on, if you need a guiding hand to make something yourself--do yourself a favor and see Dan and his team at JewelryClassDC.

He wrote back, "probably" and told me to bring it by that weekend and he'd have a look. I told him I would come Saturday and he wrote that he might have to go the DMV at some point, but that he should be around. I came by Saturday and he was not there, so I left the piece with a young woman who admired the bracelet and tagged it to give it to him and took my phone number and email. When I had heard nothing by Wednesday, I called and Daniel somewhat impatiently said that "I haven't even looked at it," but that he would. I waited another three days and called a week from when I had originally dropped it off, only to have Daniel say that he "hadn't even looked at it" and I told him I would just come over to take it back. I came and he dumped the bracelet in my hand, again saying, "I haven't looked at it." When I reminded him that he had said Wednesday that he would look at it, he barked "What do you want from me!!!!!"
