Oh what fun! For work, my team took a cooking class here tonight and it was a blast. We made crab cakes, chicken with creamy sauce with sun dried tomatoes, green beans, and for dessert a raspberry and white chocolate chip bread pudding. So delicious!! And since it's two per station, I even had leftovers. I left learning new things and full!!

Oh my goodness! Cooking under the direction of Chef Kevin Nelson was educational & entertaining. This was so much fun. I would highly recommend Cooking @ Millie's. For our evening, we made Maryland style Crab Cakes. So easy & delicious. Flat Iron Steak with House Rub & Twisted Mac & Cheese. The steak we cooked & baked was tender & delicious. The Mac & cheese was creamy. We also baked 2 individual Chocolate Cakes. The dinner also comes with a bottled of wine. They have 4 types to select from & if you finish your 1st one, there's an option to purchase more. They also have water & sodas. All of the staff were friendly & helpful. There is a Tip Box, so take someIf you can do this, DO IT! You should enjoy it.

My husband and I have been here 2 times and booked a 3rd. These classes are so fun and easy to do. All the food has been great and love that it comes with a bottle of wine. We LOVED the drag class with Chef May O'Nays. Can't wait for many more experiences

My husband and I took a class this past Friday and really enjoyed it. The class was sold out so I was a little worried that we would not get the proper instruction during class, but that was not the case at all. Chef Jon demonstrated each step perfectly with clear instructions while the other kitchen staff walked around assisting and answering any questions. You are provided all of the ingredients to the exact measurement so it makes it almost impossible to mess up. We decided on a menu that was mainly fish and everything was fresh. Portions are on the smaller side and the wine selection is not great, but the class is a lot of fun. A great idea for a date night or a girls night out. I highly recommend.

We had a blast at Cooking at Millie's. We took the class from District 6 Chef, Hanh Duong. We were welcomed in and taken to our little kitchen space and offered wine. Each kitchen has all the things needed to cook your meal. It was easy to follow along and if you had questions they were answered with no problem. Everyone cooks at the same time, so each dish is plated and enjoyed. We moved easily through each dish. We had so much fun. Highly recommend for a date night or night with friends.

Love love love Cooking at Millie's! I've been here several times for three different classes: macarons, cheese making, and a couple's date night. Each one was so much fun, so useful, and so so tasty. They are located in downtown Louisville. There are a bunch of cooking stations set up facing the front chef station. The chef has several cameras on him/her so you get various angles as you're following along. each station is fully equipped with all the cooking tools and utensils you'll need for the class. My first class was a macaron baking class. My friend and I were very stressed throughout because we wanted them to be perfect, but it was worth it because our macarons came out great! The chef was very helpful coming around and troubleshooting for everyone. Same with my second class, the cheese making class. Is there anything better than cheese? We learned how to make ricotta and mozzarella, and we got to try little samples of cake and salad that we can make with these cheeses. The cheeses came out amazing and you could really taste the freshness difference. The most recent class I took was a date night class. We made a three course meal that turned out really good, and we're still using the recipes from the class. This was in July, still in the thick of COVID-19. Cooking at Millie's took very diligent precautions. They take your temperature coming in, they are more strict with hand washing, and they have distancing and mask guidelines. Everyone in the class was compliant throughout, and we felt very safe. This is a really fun way to spend an evening, and I've always come out with a full belly and having learned something new. Would highly recommend!

Have been here for 2 dinners. Delightfully fun and well run. It's basically a cooking class without the boring stuff and add wine. Various chefs will guide you through cooking dishes. Both I went to were 3 courses and all of it was delicious. Bring a date. Have a blast.

What an absolutely amazing and fun thing to do here in town. We had a blast, and the food turned out perfect. We started off by prepping the dessert because it takes the longest to make/bake. We made a chocolate brownie in an individual souffle cup. Threw it in the oven and forgot about it for a while. Appetizer was wagyu pigs in a blanket with Bleu cheese. Outstanding. Never would have thought to add the Bleu cheese. That's a lifehack. Dinner was a filet. We learned how to sear the steak and keep the smoke down while evenly cooking the steak (add butter and throw it in the oven). We also made a mushroom sauce to top the steak (reduced heavy cream). Then the dessert was ready to go. We zested an orange, added the juice from the orange and some powdered sugar. Poured this on top of the brownie and we had ourselves a fire dessert. The price is a little bit over $100, but if you book early you get 10% off. Which we did. I think this is an incredibly good value. You learn a lot, you have fun cooking, and you eat the good food you make. And it comes with a bottle of win. Come on! Awesome deal.

Great idea, and had a great time with our chef! I wish they had even halfway decent wine/drinks options (the wines were Fish Eye and Sutter Home). Lots of food, everything provided for you. It was really cool to have a local chef teach you some of their recipes. The recipes were easy to follow-- and lots of staff coming around to assist in case you did need help. Overall a worthwhile experience, especially if you're looking for a different event as a date night.

What a fun experience!! I kept coming across the website and was interested in taking a class. The macaron class sells out quickly so you kind of have to keep an eye out for it. I roped a coworker into going with me and we had such a good time. The class was a little over 2 hours. We learned how to make the tops and bottoms as well as a chocolate ganache or a lemon curd (we learned the ganache). The ingredients were pre-measured and all the supplies were lined up at our stations. When all was said and done, we both took home over a dozen macarons. There was also some airbrushing you could do for decoration. The instructors were nice and kept the class moving while also not leaving anyone behind. The only disappointing thing was the ganache all got put into a fridge to cook and when it was put into piping bags - you weren't guaranteed to have the ganache you made. Overall, this was a fun class and I've already scooped out other classes I would do in the future.

My experience at Millie's was all the fun of cooking a meal with a friend without the hassle of prep or clean-up. I consider myself to be adept in the kitchen but I had never made any of the three courses on the menu that night (crab cakes, chicken piccata, and tiramisu) so it was easy to turn on my 'learning mode' (The bottle of wine didn't hurt). The dinner is led by a seasoned chef with a full kitchen and viewing monitor up front so everyone can easily follow along. Each course came with fully prepped and portioned ingredients so guests can skip the tedious prep work and just enjoy creating. You work in pairs with a mini-stovetop and all the kitchen supplies you need. Staff came around to give us tips as we progressed (don't flip the chicken early!), and then we were able to eat what we created. I should note we also had ample, easy, and free-after-6 parking downtown. We had an amazing night and I highly recommend this experience to anyone who would like to grab a buddy, date, or group and have a good time learning something new.

I don't want to tell you to go to Cooking at Millie's because then y'all will go and everything will get booked and I won't be able to get a reservation again. But you need to go. Millie (real name Natalie)and her staff make the evening so much fun- making sure wine glasses are full, offering cooking tips, making sure we aren't ruining the food, generally being really awesome hosts. This experience was a birthday gift and I purposely selected a menu that featured items I either didn't know how to cook (chocolate soufflé) or didn't cook well (steak) so that I could learn AND eat delicious food. There are consistently different menus and guest chefs so there's sure to be something to fit your palate. And they make it so easy that you can do it even if you're a hot mess in the kitchen. Chef Hayley from le Moo was a great teacher and she chose amazing recipes to teach. Not only was it the best meal I have eaten in ages, I got to flambé for the first time in my 37 years! I'm already looking forward to my next trip.

We traveled all the way from Indianapolis for this experience. I wanted to celebrate a friends birthday in a special way and this was perfect. We started promptly, every station was nice and clean. Directions were clear and there are tv monitors to show the chefs table. We prepared a three course meal. The wine selection was great and is complimentary with your ticket. You can also have a choice of water or pop. The portions are definitely enough to go home feeling full. To go containers were provided as well. It can get a bit loud with others talking but Chef Andrew did an excellent job with facilitating this course. This place is family friendly as well. Street parking was available, there was one restroom and lockers are available for storage.

We were very pleased to have been seated at the bar, I do not think it would have been as an immersive an experience if we had we been at a table where you could not see the chef as he prepared our 4 course meal. Upon arrival you are seated and given a cocktail menu (not included in the cost of the meal). My hubby had a very strong bourbon and water and I had a cream, liquor, vodka drink that was very tasty, similar to a White Russian. At around 6 pm chef Todd began by telling us his history and passion for cooking inspired by his grandmothers as he prepared our appetizers. I am a bit fuzzy on the details of the ingredients of all the dishes since I fell later that evening, broke my hip and shoulder and spent the next 6 days in the hospital but I'll do my best, keeping in mind all 4 courses were expectional. Appetizer was a baked pear with goat cheese and a crostini with cranberry goat cheese, walnuts and honey drizzle. Second course was a bean soup and corn bread. Main course was pot roast, carrots, potatoes and mushrooms. Mine was super tender and very flavorful. Mu husbands portion had a lot of fat but what he could eat was tasty. And for dessert he served bananas foster bread pudding. We were given a sample of the bread pudding upon arrival to whet our appetites and it sure did. The whole experience was first class; food, service, cocktails, interaction with the chef, owner and wait staff, atmosphere was just plain fun, entertaining and satisfying. We were there about 2 hours. Street parking, comfortable setting and a unique dinning experience. I highly recommend for a special occasion.
