In a word - summer does good to this place! Innovative…read moreflavors for affordable prices. Huge portions and great taste. Runner up for my favorite ice cream place in Berlin! Longer version (for the brave) - the first time I bumped into that place was last winter while craving for ice cream- but it seems that all ice cream places disappear on that season, and so was this one. It was selling macarons, and not really good ones. But surprise surprise! Summer is back, and so is the ice cream! With one of my favorite ice cream places across the street it was hard to give it a try but once passed by and saw the creative flavors offer I knew it's fate telling me "GET A CONE" Luckily there were only two people ahead of us (on the way back there were about 20) And for a second I was confused - but decided to have black raspberry and lavender sorbet. This turned out to be a great choice - well made with a strong fruit flavor, but sour enough for a sorbet. great texture, and there was some bitterness and crunchiness because of the lavender and the berry seeds. My friend had the pistachio and pumpkin seed oil, which costs a bit more than the others but the taste was absolutely amazing, even for someone who is not crazy about pistachio as I am! Creamy and soft and the oil gave it just the extra kick. Got a feeling I'll have quite a struggle every time I'll feel like having an ice cream around rosenthaler!

This cafe is fairly typical for what you'd expect for the ice cafe portion. Beautifully crafted…read moredesserts in tall glasses that make you wonder if the calorie intake is worth it. I'd say it's a mixed bag. I had the ice-lasagna just to be different from everyone else in our group. Although it looked like a little casserole dish of lasagna and was beautifully crafted, I wouldn't say it was something I'd order again. Mostly made of vanilla, white chocolate and strawberry sauce, it seems a bit on the pricy side for what you get. I am one of the only people that actually finished my dessert though so I think it's at least a decent portion size. Everyone else had these enormous desserts which their eyes were clearly bigger than their stomachs as they ate about half the desserts. So sad to see that much food go to waste, but at least the price is accounted for. I would strongly suggest that one dessert is purchased for two people. We did not try any of the warm food on their menu. The place itself is located fairly close to the Brandenburg gate so, yes, it's certainly a tourist restaurant and we're tourists so nothing wrong there. It's also NOT in Italy so I think it's really funny that people are saying it's not authentic. It's a German's spin on Italian food. It's set up like a quaint war-time era Italian restaurant and has a very large patio area which I'm sure is wonderful on warmer evenings. We were there in March so it wasn't exactly outdoor-seating whether (well, for someone from Los Angeles anyhow) though the outside was fairly full.

Huge portions. A single pasta is enough for 2 people. We had the carbonara. It was pastey and the…read moreflavor was masked by all the pepper they put on top. This was a disgrace to Italian food.

Service was fast and friendly and prices reasonable for a bottle of water and a coffee. Restrooms are clean but there were no paper towels to dry your hands after washing. When you step in here out of the hustle and bustle of Berlin, it's like a peaceful oasis.

Wonderpots has been one of favourite frozen joghurt shops. I like thier joghurt and how it works in the shop. Usually I have a voucher card with me, which allowed me to pick 3 toppings. They got quite a lot choice as well. Mainly sweet or fruits. Of course, they also offer gummy bear, theses kind of typical german popular snack. I have been to couple Wonderpots in Berlin, this one sure is the biggest and collest I have been so far. I really like that interior design here, quite like a coffeehouse. The atmosphere is just great, the seats are quite cosy as well. It's a great place to sit down and catch up with friends. It's got a great location, really close to the station Friedlichstraße. After a long day, great to make a little stop jus have a break here. I really like it here.
