The Cookie Plug - nice little spot tucked in (very snug) into a shopping center / area that I don't have too much experience with. I don't want to make the review about the surrounding businesses, however, the surrounding businesses did grab my attention and we are hitting one for dinner tonight! Alright, so as is the rest of the planet, large, delicious, varietal and decadent cookies (desserts in general), are making their way to El Paso. We'd started with a standard "Insomnia Cookies". Meh. Graduated to Crumble Cookies (these fellas are hard to beat to be honest), and now we have The Cookie Plug! I don't wanna compare apples with apples, but, this is basically Crumble Cookies - just "hipper". And yes, my boomer a** just said hipper. Same concept as the other place, cookie wise, just in way more fun packaging, beautiful 90s rap music playing in the store, fun art / graffiti decorating the place, and very interesting narco-culture themes (like their "purple drank" which is served in double styrofoam cups), or the mini versions of the cookies that are packaged in the same little plastic tubes as your weed would come in... and let's not forget, "plug", is in the title. However, does "the pizza joint" and all of its drug referenced pizza stop me from enjoying pizza? Naw. Drug references aside, the cookies are legit good. I'm not there for clever puns anyways, so I really don't care. To any that might be bothered by it? Please remember that they are NOT selling drugs and/or alcohol of any kind - it's just clever referencing to capture the attention of the current youth in our society that thinks drug usage is "cool". Again, I don't care - you can theme the whole thing off bathrooms and toilets and I'll still go to enjoy the cookies! Their service is fine. The staff member will address you, ask if you have been there before, explain each flavor they have, and then explain any/all deals they are running. For example, it's the 4th of July Weekend. So, you can get any 12 cookies you want for $17.76! Yes, y'all know I'm a historian - and that in a nerd about this kind of stuff - but when I was told about the special, I smiled and was like, "oh that's clever". The staff member was like "aha yea"... but had this look. I immediately picked up on it and asked, "wait, you know what they're doing with that, right?" ... nervously she's like "ohhh umm, no I'm sorry I don't know" .... I then explain to her when our nation was born, some 247 years ago... in 1776. The lightbulb then went off and she's like "ohhhh see I thought it was something like that" (good save). Small chill cookie shop tucked away in The Canyons, next to The Grove and Keg & Brew They offer a Variety of flavors and also have offerings for your pup friend. You can purchase individual cookies or a variety pack of minis. And even cooler is that they have discounted "ugly" cookies. Be aware however that they are Credit card only Also they have no tops for the drinks. Overall the cookies were too sweet from palette and the flavors didn't vary enough for me. All I could taste was the sugar. But this is the lick for the kiddos I'm sure. read more

Tried the mini size cookies which are called "poppers." This was a good chance to try all the flavors. They do have a promo going on for the larger cookies. The service was quick and the place didn't have many customers at this point since it's a new opening. The ambience was decent mostly to go rather than to sit in. The cookies are underwhelming, they were very dry and taste subpar and stale. The few ones that are decent would be the brownie flavor, s'mores and the snickerdoodle. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. Hope the quality improves. read more

Pretty sweet spot! Very cool concept for selling cookies. Very urban and eclectic with their designs and recipes for even their cookies. The concept is similar to that of a cannabis shop except there's zero cannabis or anything if CBD. Just plain old SBF, which is sugar butter flour XD... plus everything else in between! They have flavors like oreo bits in a cookie, smores with marshmallows melted on top, strawberry cheesecake, and some regular sugar cookies with added fun colors like purple with white chocolate chips. Very psychedelic even. Not to mention that these cookies are huge! They're like hockey pucks but bigger and thicker! So you're getting quite a lot of cookie. Their drinks are kinda fun too. They have purple haze themed kinds, like purple milk and purple lemonade. It kinda blew my mind. Pretty good deals too. We got a pack of 7 and a drink for 24$. They have random sales too like recently for the 4th of July where they sold 12 cookies and a drink for $17.76. They don't hold as well as I had hoped so you kind of want to finish them within the next 2-3 days for the best quality. Went to Lola Rose with the girlfriend and we were feeling some dessert after and we saw the cookie plug. Went in and the ambiance was pretty nice and relaxed the customer service was nice and helpful. Not too expensive for what I was getting the cookies were huge and super good and they had a good variety of cookies to choose from. I would recommend! read more

I live on the east coast and a Brother of mine was in a motorcycle accident in El Paso, TX. I wanted a custom cookie cake made and delivered to him. Typically this would've been a logistical nightmare but Cookie Plug pulled through for me. They created the perfect cookie cake for my Brother and even took care of delivery and threw in a Purple Drank for him. Woman working was super nice and helpful, atmosphere was nice, however the price point was equal to crumble but the quality was severely lacking. Cookies where not packaged hot and upon reheating half were clearly old, stale, and inedible.
