I went in and told Trudee what I needed. Lucky for me she had just started making them to sell in the shop. I bought one on the spot and told her what sizes and shapes I needed. I returned back just before we were married to find that she got me exactly what I needed and her shop was now filled with chalkboard with fun colors and made from old frames. We recently brought an old kids rocking chair to her, it's been in the family for 30+ years. She let my son pick the color he wanted and we picked it up a couple weeks later looking brand new, and green. It's not uncommon for me to stop down and see what fun items she's found or made. Stop down and snag a jar of her wine, she makes it herself.

Unfortunately, this year I've had to make two separate trips to exchange 3 dead flowers. And as I'm writing this, all 4 of my black petunias that I also purchased have now died. On the morning that my husband and I went, we were the first ones there and as an experienced gardener, I noticed that the flowers were severely overwatered. I should've listened to my gut and not shopped that day. But we did and when we came home to plant our close to $200 worth of flowers we were very concerned about the condition of the flowers in the fact that my husband had to ring out most of them! This kind of overwatering is expected at places like Home Depot and Lowe's but not at a garden center full of supposed gardeners! I am not able to make a third trip anytime soon to exchange my 4 dead black petunias so now I am out about $25 dollars! All 8 flowers that died have all died within seven days!!! On my first trip to exchange the first 2 dead flowers, I was third in line to exchange dead flowers!! The staff called an older gentleman out to approve the exchange, and he looked at the flowers and said "it looks like we overwatered our flowers". You think? Do better Graf's!!

They were $6.99 and I absolutely loved them. Unfortunately a month later and they already broke. We were in the Norton plaza so I went to return them while my husband was at Huntington. I came in and was greeted by a regular employee who was nice but you could tell they were new. She told me that she just sold the last 2 pairs the day before. Cindy (the manager) waa standing at the register and didn't even acknowledge my presence from the start of me walking in. Then I came to the counter expecting someone to say something to me about my dilemma. NOPE. I stood there for a few seconds and after realizing that no one was going to help me i asked "Well, since they're all sold out, how can we rectify this situation?" And that's when she SNAPPED. She became highly rude and snobbish saying "They were ONLY $6.99!" I said "Well it doesn't matter how much they were my husband spent money here and now they're broke." Which she replied "Well like I said they were ONLY $6.99 so you can get something for $6.99" Didn't offer to help me look, didn't offer a gift card for the $6.99 (because let's be honest, there really isn't anything in there at $6.99 unless you're buying cards and I didn't need a card.) Was not at all helpful or nice to me. So I took a look around just for funsies...my will to purchase anything was already soured by my interaction from the manager. I asked for a card or an account so I could come back in later to retrieve my $6.99 and was flat out told "No" and then to add insult to injury, they offered me a bag to put my broken unusable gloves in. In which I promptly left and took my broken gloves with me. I called corporate shortly thereafter and was given my $6.99 gift card sent to me via USPS. Corporate also let me know this store is not a franchise but has an owner...so to the owner, I plan to let everyone else know about Cindy's treatment of me and how she thinks that $6.99 is not worth her time or your patronage. We were first greeted by a friendly girl that explained to us what Grandpas was all about. They have a restaurant, cheese shop, gift shop and across the way is a candy shop. So many cheeses to try!! We bought several cheeses that we were able to taste first. We are excited to take them home and enjoy them with family. We also got some pickles from their huge selection of pickles. We went to the candy shop last and got stone home made fudge, The BEST gummy bears and some chocolate covered pecans and raisins. This was a great stop!!
