We get to the office and the person at the front said that when they tried verifying, it had a different health plan's name which they don't take. Makes zero sense, right? I tell them, the health plan they found was my employer. They nearly turned us away because of this stupid error. How difficult is it to verify insurance? You literally go online. The group number is the employer!! Second, the person at the front violated HIPAA in speaking publicly for the reasons of the visit. So I reprimand him. Still deciding if I should go to high level leadership about this. Retraining is definite necessity.
