I tried Dr Kerry Jordan based on the recommendation of my brother in law…read more Very professional setting. They get you in very close to your appt time. I had to have blood work done and it went smooth as well. DR Jordan seems knowledgeable and listens to you. My only low level gripe is that DR Jordan took about 3 weeks to get any results of my labs to me. I had to call after two weeks and then it took another week for my results. I needed to find out where I was at with my test so I could base my diet and exercise regiment on areas of needed improvement, physically. Plus, when you get checked up only once a year, you want to know where you stand. Another DR I've been to usually had a one week turn around. It is a smaller office though. Perhaps Dr Jordan stays busy and it's a good thing but we get spoiled when things are of a certain pattern. The other good point about Dr Kerry Jordan is this. I'm making an assumption comparing a previous Dr and he. What I noticed with Dr Kerry Jordan is he seemed to try and get more family and medical history, which seemed long, but he did tests based on what he thought was needed rather than running a whole battery of tests. One could view it as keeping your costs in mind. Aside from that, some people hate to have everything done when it's likely not all of if applies.

When I walked in, I immediately apologized for my tardiness and explained what had happened. The woman at the front desk was very rude when she said that my child could not be seen regardless of the situation. I hope that this is not the norm for this clinic but my experience was so poor that I will not be going back.

Went back to Leawood family care who had been purchased by Advent. Saw Claudia Wendel, explained the situation I was in needing a new PCP, the Meds I was on, first visit was fine, no problem on everything. Messaged for a med refill to which she replied, I don't prescribe that. I thought that was odd, we discussed all my Meds and "No Problem". A week later I needed a refill on another, messaged and received the same response, I don't prescribe that, and that we discussed this. I reminded her we absolutely did not or I would have looked for another PCP then. I then read the after visit summary she did from that visit and it was like we were not in the same room. Many procedures, checks she claimed to have done, never done and nothing about the meds I was on or refusal to fill. $500 for that waste of time. She then told me to go to urgent care and talk to them. Went to Urgent Care $500 and saw Claire Stinson, very nice, explained previous situation and why I was there and what I was looking for. No problem, she prescribed the meds and we scheduled another visit. Second visit $400 went south. She told me going forward she would only prescribe meds for one of my situations and that I would need to see other doctors for the others. They did refer me to other Advent Dr's. ($500 or $500+ per visit to 6 others). I did schedule another visit with her then. This is where things went weird in this visit. She was going through the usual wellness questions but focused and pressed one line of questioning, which I thought odd. She left the room, said she would be right back. Several minutes later a security guard knocks on the door, comes in asks if I am OK, if I feel OK? I said yes and he left. I thought that odd. After another 30 minutes I stepped into the hallway and saw her by the nurses desk talking on her cell phone, normal happy casual conversation. As I walked up the hall towards her, she had her back facing me, I noticed the back office staff gathered in a big "U" surrounding her, all with horrified looks on their faces. Again, thought that was odd, then one of them slowly pointed at me over Claire's shoulder. I was getting concerned there was something bad behind me. Claire spun around continuing her normal happy casual conversation, points a finger in the air smiles and mouths "one minute". I quietly told her I needed to go because I had another appointment. She nodded and said she would be right there. I went back to the room and waited. I am trying to process what the heck is happening and she comes back in the room. She then wanted me to go to the emergency room and "talk to someone". I told her, still confused, I was not going to do that and that I needed to go. She said "OK" but think about it. Walking down the hall to the exit the staff looked at me like I was a suicide bomber, it was very odd and I was trying to make light of the weirdness. I messaged Claire the next day and told her I had no idea what was going on but it was very humiliating and weird. Waiting for a response I read the after visit summary, I was shocked, humiliated and confused. I asked her if we would be able to continue a PCP relationship without this happening again, she replied, I would not change a thing. I cancelled my other appointment. My takeaway was she has a Hero/Savior complex, presses an issue to fabricate a story where she spins herself into a victim. Why? I have no idea and it didn't benefit anyone. I talked to some of the other Dr's I have met with afterward and they stated something was very wrong on many levels with that visit. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Advent/Leawood Family Care at 7025 College Blvd. OPKS. and don't recommend anyone else do either. It is not what it used to be! With all the Advent Dr's only dealing with one issue I am seriously considering ditching Advent all together as well. I do like some of the other specialists I have seen. That gets Advent the 1 star. Still looking for a PCP.

I always appreciate how she shares super helpful insights on skincare, maintenance, and prevention--it's clear she's passionate about what she does. What I really love is the care she puts into her patients and her room. It's decorated to match her personality perfectly--warm, welcoming, and with this personal touch that makes you feel right at home. And don't even get me started on the bird feeder she's set up outside her window... It's such a sweet detail that just speaks to how thoughtful she is. Highly recommend Karina for anyone looking for an aesthetician who truly cares and makes the whole experience not just great for your skin, but also for your spirit!

They would run a few blood tests to appease me, but brush over my symptoms and I always left unsatisfied and frustrated. Not anymore!! I'm so happy to have found Dr. Sokol!! He spent over an hour and a half going over my symptoms, asking me lot's of questions diving deep into my medical history - I literally felt like he was a detective trying to get to the bottom of a mystery. By the time the appointment was over, he had ordered a multitude of tests I'd never had ordered before and a referral to another specialist to address an issue he felt important to address but wasn't in his field. All in all, this is the first time in more than 11 years that I've had a doctor truly listen to me and be willing to help me find answers.
