When the correct order came out, the Furman burger didn't have the pickles or grilled onions. It had bacon on it which the menu didn't indicate was on the burger. The server explained bacon comes on the burger, it just isn't written. She went to the back and brought me a small cup of pickles and a small cup of grilled onions. The food was really good. My MIL also enjoyed half of hers and gave me the other half. The Hoagie bun was definitely the better decision. This is a cheap diner with cheap diner food. The atmosphere is just what it looks like in the pictures and it's exactly what we were looking for. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress tried to sell us some of their homemade desserts, but, unfortunately we already had ingredients and plans for an apple tart, back at the cabin. We will definitely visit this place again, on our next trip. I'll get another meatloaf sandwich, (it was really outstanding) my wife will get something other than the fried steak and we'll both grab a couple of those good looking homemade desserts they had in their display case. French fries were crinkle cut which are our favorite. Hush puppies and fried okra delicious. Pepsi products here and they were delicious. So many fountain drinks aren't mixed right and taste terrible but this place has great fountain drinks! Service was great and staff were friendly. 3 of us at for like $36 so that's a bonus. The restaurant also serves hand dipped ice cream and shakes. They have homemade pies for dessert. They have a few picnic tables outside next to the river and some beautiful flowers
