Jr tray hotdog, 4 onion rings, 3 nuggets
Virginia R.

I went to the drive thru at cookout this past Sunday and it was pouring rain. The person who took my order took 10 minutes to take it. She kept switching over (3 times) to the other lane to take multiple cars orders. My car and myself were soaked from having my window open so long, just to order two meals. When I finally got to the window, the lady was rude and wouldn't even look at me to hand me the food or drinks. Worst service I've EVER experienced at any drive thru. The food was cold. I do NOT recommend this particular cook out and I will not be going back.

Cookout is a place I have been trying to get to every time I come to Virginia, I finally had the opportunity and let me just say it did disappoint to a certain degree. Me and my dad went to the location on Victory Blvd, very big and spacious on the inside and a clear easy to read menu. The gentleman at the counter was somewhat helpful but I just think that he was distracted because he was also running drive through and he also appeared to be having a full blown conversation with whoever he was talking to on his airpods. I got the double burger with double fries and a coke float. My dad got the double burger with chicken nuggets and onion rings. We got our food pretty quick. Food is made to order so it was fresh but it did not look like I received double fries and my dad only got like 5 onion rings but they were both crunchy and hot, The burger was delicious(its char-broiled). I had to go back up to the counter to ask for my coke float and they also forgot to add my cajun seasoning on the side. I was still a little hungry when we were getting ready to go so i ordered an additional side of onion rings. When i got them they were not fully done, the coating was literally falling off the onions. I asked for them to remake them for me. There was no type of acknowledgment or apology while correcting this service. When I got them back they still looked undercooked but I took them anyway with plans to pop them in the oven when I got home. Overall my rating is 2/10 for this location, the service was very sub par and there was a lot of small misses. I would encourage some re-training in the guest experience. But I did have the opportunity to go to the one on Military blvd once I landed and the food and service was wonderful so their rating would be an 8/10 only because I had a drive thru experience instead of dine in.

Ordered BBQ plate and Cancun fries. Received one scoop of pulled pork and regular fries. my wife's soda was flat after using three machines. unsatisfactory

I highly disappointed with this location because the quality of food hasn't been the same since I've worked there years ago I was served RAW uncooked food! Tried to call but no answer

A chicken-less chicken quesadilla.

Where the chicken in my chicken quesadilla?? Like 4/5 times i come here it's always some kind of issue. Either with the food or ordering. One line is always like 3x faster than the other i literally sat there and watched the other lane take and deliver at least 5 orders in the same time it took just to take my order. Then another 2 b4 i could get mine just to get a messed yo order come on man its a quesadilla how u mess that up

I must say this place is amazing. When I went I received the best customer service and they were patient due to it being my first time. I was surprised with how large their menu was. If you were to go maybe looking at their menu prior would help. I ordered a burger tray with Cajun fries and cheese bites. I think that the food was to die for! The food was hot and well seasoned for the price. They are relatively cheap as well which also makes it a plus. I also ordered a strawberry cheesecake shake which was very good. The shake was thick and just the right amount of sweet. I would go back again and and

Usually pretty good but whoever working today needs to put a little more effort into their job first my burger isn't even cooked at all it's mad pink way too pink for me and ion why they tried to play me on my cheese fries but since when do we season the cheese and not the fries bro please tell me I really feel like I was robbed.

Fries are not included, so each meal ended up costing about $16 for a burger and fries without a drink. We ordered the regular cheeseburger, the Cowboy with bacon, BBQ sauce, and American cheese, the Cobra Kai with cream cheese, pickled jalapeños, and jalapeño jelly, and the Classic Jack with caramelized onions, JB sauce, and dill pickles. Everything tasted solid, but nothing really stood out compared to other burgers I have had. I was also confused by the "dill pickles" topping since every burger already came with a pickle on the side. One downside was the limited menu. There were no chicken tenders or ranch options for others in our group who wanted something simpler. The restaurant itself is very small and does not seem ideal for larger groups. We had five people and needed an extra stool added to our table to fit everyone. Another group of seven ended up leaving because they could not sit together. That said, I would still come back if I were in the area since I did enjoy the meal for what it was . A special shoutout to the waitress with the bridge piercing. She was friendly, accommodating, and quick with service, which really stood out.

I researched locations. Not our first time eating in this area at all. I have been wanting a good burger. This place fit the bill or so I thought. Bae ordered his smash burger pink. I ordered no pink. Both of us got double patties. Full transparency, I have cooked smash burgers myself. They are thin and cook quickly. Pink? I didn't want to take my chances on an undercooked burger. The menu only provides two options: pink and no pink. Simple! First the meatballs were delicious and not because we were starving. Cassidy was very patient and gave us plenty of time to make a decision. My first burger - looks can be deceiving. Zoom in. You'll see the burned edge of the bun and black onions. When I opened the burger to add mayo I discovered almost al the onions were black and there was no bacon to be found. Cassidy agrees that my onions were crissspy and not in a good way. She refires my burger. Bae's burger must have been fine. He made short work of it. The one time I did peek over his patty looked more no pink than pink so they didn't get that right either. My second burger? Cassidy and I agreed it was a marked improvement. I was impressed at how fast the second burger landed on the table. I'd already eaten the Brussel sprouts. Let's say the garlic butter didn't really taste like garlic or butter more like cheese. They did have a crispness to them like Cassidy said they would. An acceptable side. I had fries last night and didn't want more again tonight. Back to this second burger - after Cassidy left the table I cut it on two. Look at the pic. One chunk was raw. Pink pink. I was not with that. Not to mention no crispy edges. That ended my night. My long awaited dinner was a side dish. I told Cassidy that the message was received from the kitchen. They don't want me as a customer and that I was fine not to order anything else or return again. The music was a bit too loud for me. Playlist or channel was going me MTV of the late 80s early 90s. Awesome but just a bit too loud. They started getting a crowd as we were leaving. So this spot must get cranking as the night progresses. Thank you Cassidy for good service. Sorry the kitchen lost a customer.

However, the food took longer to arrive than I have experienced at other venues. While I am generally patient, the extended wait began to cause some frustration. When the food finally arrived, I was somewhat disappointed, as several dishes, such as the macaroni and cheese and green beans, were overly seasoned. My mother found the macaroni and cheese to be okay , but I found it excessively salty. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 10. After some time, we were ready for our check, but our server was unavailable and took an extended period to return, even to check on how we were doing or to bring the bill. She did check on us after the food arrived, but during the wait, my mother and I grew increasingly annoyed and were ready to leave. Instead, we continued to wait. I later realized that she may have been assisting another group with a large event, which I understand is not her fault but likely a decision made by management. Ideally, she should not have been attending to multiple tables simultaneously, especially during a busy period involving a large party. As a result of the service experience, I did not feel inclined to leave a tip. We were aware that increased patience might have been necessary due to the larger party being served. Based on this experience, I do not plan to return to this establishment.

We were surprised by how large the restaurant is. There is plenty of seating. The waitress came and brought us menus. Since it was holy hour I tried 5of the fried shrimp for a starter. I lap got a bahama mama and my friend got a tropical margarita. The shrimp were big and full of flavor, a little on the salty side but the cocktail sauce balanced them out For entrees I got the fried pork chops menu friend got turkey wings. We both got rice & gravy and collards for our sides. While we waited for our food there was a DJ playing music that kept the vibe going. Even with the amount of people it did not take a really long time for our food to come. I hadn't had fried pork chops in a while and they were really good. Crunchy but not too crunchy. The rice and gravy was pretty good and the collards weren't bad, a little overcooked for my liking. The cornbread was light and super sweet. It went well with the collards. Defiantly a great place for good food and good music on a Friday!!
