This new fast food restaurant recently opened on W Jackson and I visited it twice last week while in town. First visit was for a fast vanilla milkshake for $2.79. It was excellent (5). A lot of milkshake for a fair price. They have over 40 varieties available. My second visit a couple of days later was to eat a meal. I ordered the regular hamburger with two sides of fries and cole slaw with a drink for $5.55 with tax. A heckuva deal! The food came out about 5 minutes later. The burger patty was about a 1/3lb. and the burger was very good. A solid burger, I gave it a 3.5. The fries were frozen out of bag type but ok so I gave them a 3. The other side of cole slaw was light and refreshing and I gave it a 3.5. Counter service was fast and friendly. The interior decor is Ole Miss themed. This place will be a hit. The food is good and prices low. It represents a lot of value. Not too many combo's are offered with two sides at a $4.99 price before tax. The menu also offers chicken sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken wraps and chicken strips.

It's my 'cheat day' so what better way to take advantage of this opportunity to over indulge than to have Cook Out. I ordered the barbecue plate. The "Boujee" in my made me replace my meal and crunch on my hush puppies. The food was hot, greasy and salty. Just what I needed!! I celebrated my 'cheat day' with approximately 6 crisp hush puppies, a pound of chopped barbecue, creamy cold slaw and a cup of medium cut fries.

Delicious meal at a perfect price point. Loved the Cajun chicken wrap and friendly service. It was great to discover this chain restaurant- too bad we don't have them in the Midwest!

Alright so this is the equivalent of fair food but at a very low price point. I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. The crown jewel of this place is the cookout tray. $5 for a ton of food and a drink. It is ridiculously cheap. The service is okay but it's open 24/7 so it's pretty much the only option at 2 am.

Nothing but tortilla. Was supposed to have chicken and cheese‍

Received two chicken quesadillas and they had absolutely nothing on it. It was just a tortilla. The buns were very soggy and fries were under cooked as well. The guy working the counter was very nice however.

Under cooked fries mayo on sandwich clearly mark no mayo flat drink or c02 only drinks. If you don't like your job quit.

Heard we had to try Ajax, the diner, not the soap. We stopped in for lunch before heading to Nashville airport to come home. The diner is about what you'd expect inside. Old, kitschy and full of decor. We sat in a booth an were greeted by a waitress promptly for drink orders. Cokes and waters. They deliver the coke in a neat Ajax cup. I ordered the chicken fried steak. Wife ordered the chicken and dumplings and step son ordered catfish. Everything arrived very quickly and everything was hot and southern deliciousness, except the corn bread. The corn bread was dry and not very good at all. Pretty sure it was yesterday's leftover bread or someone needs to pull it 5 minutes sooner from the oven. Unanimous at the table, Everton e had garb corn bread. No big deal. The chicken fried steak was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Gravy was great and the red beans and rice side was awesome. All great flavors. Wife loved the chicken and dumplings, good flavor and tender chicken. She got a side of sweet potato casserole and loved it. I had a bite and it was delicious for certain. Step son had the fried catfish, he is not a big seafood eater but he absolutely loves the catfish. I had a big piece and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great as well. The staff was outstanding, the service was great and the food was excellent sans the cornbread. Ajax is a neat little diner in the heart of Oxford. It's a little pricey as is everything in this college town, but it was worth the visit.

My manicotti was so bland it could've been served at a tax seminar. For prices that suggest a culinary revelation, we got dishes that wouldn't impress a truck stop diner. The service matched the food's enthusiasm--our server was polite but they weren't giving the Olive Garden a run for their money, let's be real.. The bill hit like a personal insult, far too steep for such a lackluster show. Word is the ramen might be better, but after this, I'm not betting on it. Oxford's food scene isn't barren, far from it. The town boasts gems that deliver honest, delicious fare without the ego. But spots like SoLa, with their trendy pomp and inflated tabs, are a bitter letdown for anyone who's ventured beyond state lines and tasted what distant lands can offer. The Moms and I left wishing we'd picked a place that respects both palate and purse.
