Shakes too thick. However excellent flavor. Great hours. I guess l am adding this to get 85 character read more

Every time I come here I always order Cajun fries and they NEVER put the seasoning on them, I always have to go back in and get the seasoning. The workers act like it is the biggest deal in the entire world. Tonight I got a reg burger tray and asked for everything on it.. (it said everything on the ticket) and they only put lettuce and one pickle. Never coming back to this one ! read more

I had never been to Cook Out before. Wasn't sure what they offered other the obvious so I was scanning the menu in drive thru. Anyway, a young boy came through the speaker said "what do you want" I said Hi, he said "again, what do you want" "what are you ordering". Needles to say, I didn't order, no need to order, no need to try. There's enough burger joints, don't need to start going to this one. Maybe hire people that actually like dealing with people. A hello goes a long way. And, no, I have no need to contact corporate, you get the gist of my experience what you do with this information is entirely up to mgmt. read more

This is the best Cook Out I have ever been to. They have a 100 A+ Health rating score and the best workers. We had a huge crew come in and they gracefully gave us water and waited patiently on us. They even let us sit outside and smoke cigarettes read more

Fast drive through service and amazing communication between the workers and the customers! Hard to find now days

Service is absolutely terrible and always slow 24/7 and always messes up orders. Been waiting In line for over 30, min

I ate there and they had bugs in my food, maggots! this was absolutely disgusting and I'm never getting food here again. read more

I came to get dinner after my night at work and when I pulled in the line was small with only about 6 cars and yet I was in line for about 15 minutes before my order was taken. I understand that sometimes the staff can get overwhelmed because I have worked fast food in the past so I tried to be as polite as possible when I drove in. I asked for no ice in my drink and it was filled to the brim with ice. I also told the woman working the register to have a good night as she handed me my food and instead she just rolled her eyes as she moved onto the next person at the speaker. The food itself was perfectly fine, I just wish the staff could be kinder. I understand being overwhelmed when it gets busy, but that's no reason to be outwardly rude to the people coming in to eat. read more

I loveeeeeee cookout and am rarely disappointed with the food. Even when my order is wrong, I know the food will be good. BUT holy cow the drive thru is slower than the DMV. They could really use some pointers from Chick-Fil-A on efficiency. And tell me why in 2023 the speaker box/intercom for taking an order is still garbage? Milkshake and tray were good but not worth the 20 minute wait on a Tuesday at 9. This is why I rarely come to Cookout and opt for almost any other fast food in town. read more

They claimed the watermelon shake was out. Then I couldn't get chocolate chip cookie dough becauae they couldn't "sell" it to me since it wasn't sept 1st. Didn't give me a chance to finish my order which forced me to add on items at the window. Whoever is taking orders isn't giving good customer service.... at least act like you want to help me cashier at window was helpful read more

Cook Out - a neon sign for a restaurant - Fast Food Near Me - Lincolnton, North Carolina

In July of 2019, I tried this restaurant, and the food was delicious. I don't know when I'm going to come back but hopefully some time. I can't remember what food I tried because it's been a long time since I've been there. read more

Food was good. BUT, in the Cook Out restaurant in Lincolnton, NC, we were told to leave the restaurant area where we were eating and still eating (almost done) because they said they were closing the lobby. We were a party of 3 adults, all over the age of 50. I understand closing the door to new business but I've never been told in my entire life to leave a restaurant or fast food place while in the middle of eating the meal. They still had the doors open and new customers were still walking in and yet we were told to leave. I've been in restaurants and fast food places where we were still eating when their lobbies closed and they let us stay to finish. In fact most said TO stay. It's a shame that Cook Out in Lincolnton NC did this. I liked the food but this treatment makes me not want to come back. read more

I know cookout is not a Michelin star restaurant. But in one single order they gave me wrong sauce and wrong number of sauces. Burnt my quesadilla and gave me baby tendies. Shakes good though only reason for 2 stars and not 1. PS why are the workers dancing and jumping and screaming in between orders. read more

I love their food and milkshakes are the best around and they ain't bad on the price either.

The food is good unless you order a chicken wrap; then you get an embarrassingly small piece of chicken for on a tortilla with 2 pieces of shredded lettuce and a pinch of cheese. If you want to be disappointed then go to cookout in Lincolnton. read more

Typically if two people are running the register and taking orders, between the two of them they "should" get the order right, correct? WRONG! I ordered 2 shakes and a Tray, get to the window, 1 shake and 1 tray with tea and barely enough ice to make a puddle in the Sun..come on i know you have plenty of ice. I only go to this place about once a week, i guess they dont need me that bad. read more

There's always a long line in the drive thru that goes out to the street, which is fine. I definitely wouldn't mind waiting if my order wasn't incorrect every single time I go here. I understand being busy and this can be a tough place to work, but if we are already waiting 20 minutes in line, then please just take the 5 seconds to double check the order. This is the closest location for me, but I'll probably go out of my way to go to the Gastonia location from now on, I've never had any issues there. read more

November 11, 2020. 2:30 pm Food was only average. I used to go here a lot but seems like product and service has gone down hill recently. Service was awful. Felt like I was intruding on staffs play time!! Masks were securely on their chins, with the exception of the girl at the window that after playing with her mask got it to almost cover her nose, no one I could see had a mask above their chin!! I go there because your food used to be outstanding and your servers were polite and very nice. Not so today. Masks are important to us and we choose or take out by who wears them. read more

This cookout sucks never been there once where I've gotten my order correct and the workers just sit there and play around screaming and cussing food taste disgusting half the time always forget about sauce there workers just don't care and are disappointing read more

Three times. That's how many times I had to repeat every single item in my order in the drive through. Three times! I told them at the window they need to fix their speaker. I got a half hearted "we've tried". I'm sorry? Have you been down the street to Chic-Fil-A where even though they have speakers they pay someone to take your order in person outside, then have another person, outside to take your payment? And you can't fix a speaker? We love cook out but today convinced me to not go through this drive thru again. Oh, and add to that that even though I repeated my husbands order three times, it was wrong. read more

Fast food type restaurant. Tray meals are a great deal. $4.99 for sandwich, 2 sides, and a drink. 1/4 pound burger good. Double party small. Might as one get a larger single patty. Cajun chicken sandwich okay. Make sure to ask for lettuce and tomato along. If not served plain. If wanting onions as a side request double. Single serve comes with 4. Chili tasted like a can mix with no beans. Overall a good cheap eat for a family of 4. read more

Cook Out - 1/2lb cheeseburger steak style. - Fast Food Near Me - Lincolnton, North Carolina

So last time I went here food was pretty descent and service was great but today was another story. The young lady at the cash register was very nice the entire time, got my food sat down and notice the cheese wasn't on my sandwich (which you pay an extra .45 for). I returned to the register and first thing first they made me go get my receipt which showed I payed for it, the girl went to the back to get my cheese and was back there for some time, came back and said they want you to bring your sandwich I said it's a piece of cheese I'm not doing it that, I started to walk off turned back around and ask d the manger to return my money then, well she refused to come out and made the poor girl working the register bring it to my table.. ridiculous! read more

Took my faimly here last night for a celebratory meal (they are all in town for my graduation party) - I originally planned to take them to Popeyes across the street but it was permanently closed (see my review of Popeyes on Main St in Lincolnton). The staff was extremely friendly and was about to put 10 tables together in short notice considering my larege family. I appreciate the hand washing signs in the bathroom- this is a clear indication of a above average restaurant. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you actually eat inside (Cookout is abmisnomer) and the trays are actually styrofoam containers and not actual trays) read more

Cook Out - They call this a "tray" but as you can see it's a styrofoam container - Fast Food Near Me - Lincolnton, North Carolina

Worst Cookout I've been to. All the tables were sticky, they were out of ketchup and didn't refill it until we were leaving. Took 15 minutes to get our order. They were slightly busy but far from in the weeds. Will avoid this location in the future. read more

I eat here almost daily. I always buy the tray and get a chicken sandwich, sometimes I think the chicken is too thin or small and others it's just right. I love their tea and pickles. They have real good shakes too, they are thick so don't expect to drink them read more

Over and over they screw up our orders. This store has the worse management. Nothing like getting home with out your food you paid for and they do nothing for you. This store is the worse I've ever seen including all other fast food restaurants in Lincolnton NC it says I have to click a star to submit so I will hit one but they deserve zero stars. read more

No where else can you get this much good food for 5 bucks. Chicken strip tray, 2 beef quesadillas add Texas Pete and a huge coke zero is my go to order. Lot of times I only eat the strips one meal and quesadillas the next day. Can't beat that. Shakes and seasoned fries are good too. read more

I came to the Lincolnton store on Wednesday, April 22, 2018 and placed an order to take home . I ordered 2 cheeseburger tests cookout style one tray no onions and two coke floats. When I got home and began eating my burger, I realized that the burger only had onions and mustard and ketchup. The other burger had lettuce, tomato, and onions. Now I am severely allergic to onions and didn't realize I had bitten into onion until I had it in my mouth My mouth beganI swelling . I immediately took medication i Have and Upon realizing that my whole order was wrong , I decided on Saturday April 21,2018 to stop by Cookout and show my receipt hoping they would replace both orders and was shocked by the away manager or manager I spoke with. She accused me of bringing in a receipt that was 9 days old and that is simply not true. I was angry and demanded they check their records and see that it was in fact April 18, 2018 and not 9 days old. I was told that the manager agreed to replace one not both of the orders. I was again angry because I am being called a liar. I have the proof that this order was in fact on April 18 , 2018 between 6: 40 & 7on because I used my debit card to pay for the order and both the ticket order price and my debit from my card match in price and in timing. I will use whatever means necessary to prove my case to this company and will demand an apology from the manager whom called me a liar. Thank you, Emily Dill read more

This place is amazing! Cookout tray is the best and cannot be beat anywhere else! Whenever we visit from New York we have to stop here!

Great for fast food! Only one time I had an issue with the food (a minor mixup) and they replaced it politely. Best fast food in Lincolnton!

Great assortment great prices great food. Watermelon milkshake wish there was one of these up north. The food tastes like right off the grill in your backyard!! Yummy read more

I really love Cook Out milkshakes: 5 stars for the ones that feature chocolate, mint, caramel, candy, or cookies. Avoid the fruit flavored ones-- they don't taste like much. Lately, as in, within the last half a year, service has really gone down hill. They have gotten my milkshake wrong several times since Christmas, sometimes when they weren't busy at all. When I've gone inside to get the shake instead of waiting in the drive through, I've waited 15 minutes; people who ordered several trays of food were served before my milkshake was ready-- to the point that others waiting would comment that I must have ordered a lot of food to wait this long. Haha nope. Just one milkshake. Yeah, it busy in there, but not THAT busy. Regarding the food: I give it 4 stars. It's better than the national chain options, but it's not anything remarkable. Compared to other Cook Outs, this one gets 2 stars for service. read more

Food is always fresh, hot and on the cheap. What more can one ask for? I'll keep coming back. Very good service too. Rock-on Cookout !

Food wasn't good, and they charge for each topping like lettuce and tomato. I think it's still cheap but you get what you pay for. Some of our food was edible, some we had to toss. read more

Food was okay; ordered footlong hot dogs, two different kinds of burgers, seasoned fries and ranch wraps for four people. Here's the catch: EVERY SINGLE TOPPING for the burgers, hot dogs, and chili cheese fries COSTS EXTRA, except lettuce. The chili, mustard, and onions costed extra for the dogs, the cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, mustard, chili, and onions costed extra for the burgers. EVEN THE CHILI AND CHEESE WERE EXTRA FOR THE CHILI CHEESE FRIES. The situation was absolutely ridiculous. Never in my life have I witnessed a menu like Cookout's. And to beat it all, all of the extra charges were on the menu in such small writing that you barely could read it. It reminded me of the tiny writing you see on the bottom of the TV screen during a car commercial. Just another way for them to pull the wool over your eyes. I happen to have a calculator on my phone, and thought I had added up EVERY SANDWICH AND EVERY TOPPING (TWICE), and my total was still 4 dollars more than the total I got on my calculator! For four people, the total was almost 30 dollars!! Other people in these reviews say that the food is cheap.NOT IN MY BOOK!! Everyone usually thinks that when you order a burger or a hot dog, that normally the usual toppings come at no extra charge. NOT AT COOKOUT!!! It's just a rip-off, plain and simple!!! I will NEVER go back again!!! read more
