I feel compelled to share my recent DISAPPOINTING experience at COOH Bourke Road Alexandria on Friday, November 10th, 2023. This review aims to bring attention to the LACKLUSTER service and QUESTIONABLE QUALITY of food that left me DISHEARTENED.
At 2:11 pm, I ordered two Acai bowls for takeaway. Eager to enjoy a pleasant treat, my companion and I decided to indulge as we drove home. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward and enjoyable experience turned into a dismaying ordeal.
Upon tasting our Acai bowls, we immediately noticed an unpleasant acetone-like flavor. Initially, we attempted to tolerate it, but as time passed, the taste became overwhelming. Concerned about the quality of the food, we promptly called the restaurant at 3:01 pm to report the issue, with the hope of preventing similar incidents for other customers.
Regrettably, our attempt to communicate with the manager, "YANNI", resulted in the unexpectedly MOST UNPROFESSIONAL conversation I've EVER had in my life. Yanni immediately shifted the blame onto us, questioning why we had walked away with the food. It's worth noting that we ordered takeout with the reasonable expectation that the food would be fit for consumption.
Yanni went on to suggest that the Acai had spoiled during the short walk from the shop to our car, a journey of less than five minutes with their own provided and perfectly sealed takeaway containers. His comparison of Acai to ice cream, claiming it melts, seemed more like an attempt to deflect responsibility than a valid explanation.
Throughout our conversation, Yanni questioned the legitimacy of our complaint multiple times, stating, "I don't know if it's true or not." This not only cast doubt on our sincerity but also displayed a lack of trust in customers who were genuinely dissatisfied with their experience.
In addition to his dismissive attitude, Yanni displayed a shocking lack of professionalism, being abrasive and unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of addressing the issue at hand, he seemed more interested in questioning our motives and legitimacy.
The final disappointment came when, after expressing our intention to leave reviews detailing our experience, Yanni begrudgingly offered compensation, accompanied by the distasteful remark that we come back and beg for our money tomorrow. Really? This response was not only insulting but further reinforced our decision to distance ourselves from such poor customer service.
In conclusion, my experience at COOH Bourke Road Alexandria was far from pleasant. The SUBPAR quality of the Acai bowls and the UNPROFESSIONAL conduct of the manager, Yanni, have left a lasting negative impression.
