Important to note that this is a historic ruin of an old castle, not restored or anything, so it is an outdoors activity. We only had a short time to spend here, so I don't know if they offer tours, but a tour would have been great. I'd love to have known more about where I was standing and what was there before. But beautiful views. Amazing photos. It was a rainy day when we went, but not raining when we were there, and it just made for some of the coolest photos. Seriously, I wish I had dressed in something really fun because this place makes awesome photos. Would be a great place to shoot engagement photos or something. The stairways are really narrow and tight. Prepare yourself. I don't do heights so I couldn't get all the way up to the top. Too terrifying. The wind is really strong up even just on the second and third levels.

Conwy Castle is stunning...with the views from many different angles. Set on an inlet...it overlooks the waterfront...the village and the Conwy Suspension Bridge. This was our first stop in Wales and it was LOVE at first sight. The look out points from the towers were beautiful! A fun place for kids and adults to explore a little piece of history!

Gorgeous castle - hugely popular with tourists and for good reason - it's got lots of towers to climb and views all over! One of King Edward's spree of castle building - you can learn more here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conwy_Castle Not exactly for those with fear of heights or mobility problems, but it's a lovely place to visit. If you get an "Adventure Pass" - make sure you visit nearby Plas Mawr as well. Definitely worth visiting!

This is the first castle I've ever visited and I was thoroughly amazed by it. Just beautiful absolutely beautiful in my opinion. The whole experience was worth it. I advise everyone to visit this castle and it's charming town.

For the student/senior rate of £4.30 you get to spend a full day exploring the ruins of the beautiful Conwy Castle. Little nooks and corners have hidden within them placards describing historic merit and small stalls with information on how the castle used to look, the way it was decorated, and how the people within its walls lived. Do yourself a favour ahead of time and play the tourist - read up a bit before you get in so you can enjoy it to the fullest. You'll be able to respect the history and the layout so much more when you do. I went here on a Monday morning because my dad was visiting me from the States, and it was spectacular being able to see it without the standard weekend rush. I loved taking photos of the absolutely empty castle and being able to enjoy quiet moments to relax and take in the view of Conwy underneath the turrets. It's wonderful how well it has been preserved that you're still able to climb along most of the ruins and take in views from all over. Conwy itself is a cute-as-a-button stop for the standard tourist, and for anyone hitting the town I'd strongly suggest walking along the walls, storming the castle, and then grabbing some food in the town (*cough*Edwards of Conwy*cough*...seriously, I still have a craving for their huntsman pies).

"Your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries!" Of COURSE you have to reenact this famous scene from Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail when traipsing around the abandoned castle in Wales! This is the ONLY CASTLE I've ever been to where you're able to explore like you're a kid on the playground! I especially liked climbing to the tops of the towers and taking photographs. The Castle is empty but it's still fun exploring the different chambers and climbing up the stairs to discover where it takes you. The view was absolutely gorgeous! After my travels around the world, Wales takes home the *prize* of being the most beautiful place I've ever visited! Peering over the walls you beheld so many daises that were thickly clumped together that it looked like someone has sprinkled confectioner's sugar ALL over the beautiful neon green grass. The sea glistened in lavender and cobalt blue. It was gloriously breathtaking! No trip in the castle is complete with playing in a little bit of mud! There is NO sensation like walking along the bogs in Wales. It's sticky, mucky, gross and oh, so grand! You can walk along the kelp but be prepared to hear the sound of popping bones under the wet slimy leaves. It's amazing and a guaranteed good laugh!

Wow! This is THE best Castle I've so far been too. It is huge and I don't think we even got to see it all. Well worth the money. If you don't like heights it's ok as there is so much to look at at the bottom too although it is stunning when you get to the top. The kids loved it (10 & 7 yrs) and I would definately go again in a heartbeat! If you have your entry ticket to hand, you can get into Plas Mawr in the town for free too.

I've seen quite a few castles in the UK but the Conwy Castle provides a feel that truly captures the English dominance in the 14th Century. The castle is in good shape and for 4 pounds you can tour within the main castle walls. The railing is non existence which makes this castle a bit crazy in going up and down the pillars and walls but the views are great. This castle is live history at its finest, definitely a must see in Northern Wales.

Visiting this castle is totally worth it. The fact that it is a ruin adds to the mystique and authenticity of the experience. The view from tops of the towers is spectacular (at least on a dry day), and the concise but informative sign boards posted throughout are enough to help you make sense of what you're seeing. Walk the walls first, I'd say. It will give you a firmer understanding of what the castle protected.

Given that Conwy Castle is now more than 700 years old it's in a fairly decent state of repair. All the timber floors and roofs are long gone but the stone work has survived quite well. This means that much of the castle remains accessible so, for example, it's possible to climb to the top of most of the towers. Having said all that it isn't always easy to move around. The steps are mainly steep, narrow and windy and the towers are poorly lit so you'll need to be fairly fit and agile to reach the tops. As the floors are made of stone they can become slippy when it rains. There isn't much cover although some areas are indoors, including the chapel which has a display showing how castles evolved over time. If you can, try to visit on a dry and sunny day. If you do manage to get to the top of the towers then you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the town of Conwy as well as the surrounding areas, both up and down river. It's not too expensive to get in and worth a look although personally I wouldn't advise going if you've got very young children given the steep steps and high drops off the walls and towers. Health & safety laws clearly weren't what they are today 700 years ago!

Spend the small amount to go inside, up, down and all around. Don't be rushed. Go slow, soak it in and be careful on all the steps. One wrong step could result in an emergency. Geocaching friendly! Would be nice to have a pre recorded head phone tour. Would be a great added revenue and offer more knowledge for guests. Wall after is a must. Wall is free, but don't miss the castle.

The castle is impressive and imposing from the outside. Unfortunately, reduced opening hours in the winter (check the website before you go) coupled with accidents on the road on our way here from Wallasey meant we arrived just as the National Trust staff were preparing to close. Looked impressive enough from the outside for us to want to come back for a proper visit another time though.

Definitely a place to visit when you're in the UK. It's got great views of the pier, town, and mountains. I had my favorite fish n chips close by to here. The steps are quite narrow in some of the towers so be careful when climbing them. But you are rewarded with a spectacular view when you get to the top!

Interesting and fun to visit. Lots of steps to climb so be ready for that but it's a small price to pay for the experience.

The cinema itself is very modern, with 8 screens using the latest film technology, and the seats are comfortable and spacious. There is wheelchair access and seats in the front row that are suitable for the disabled. Inside the cinema there's an ice-cream stall, a popcorn counter in the middle of the foyer, a hot dog counter and a Pick 'n' Mix style sweet shop. Of course, these prices are all extortionate and whilst it costs £6.60 for an adult ticket to see the film, it costs almost as much for a tub of popcorn. Outside the cinema, which is located in a leisure park on the outskirts of Llandudno Junction, there's a McDonalds, a KFC, a Pizza Hut, a Frankie & Benny's and several other eateries. The price to see the film is actually quite reasonable, I believe, but the extras let the whole experience down.

The popcorn is expensive, the fizzy water that tastes vaguely of cola or orange is even worse, the hot dogs are luke warm and the nachos are doritos with a lumpy, solid, unlovable cheese sauce. 'Venue Cymru' has been the cause of some debate in the local area. If someone mentioned the name…read more'Venue Cymru' to you would you know what it was? Even if you know that Cymru is Welsh for Wales (and I'm sure you do) chances are you still wouldn't guess what Venue Cymru is. It is in fact a recently expanded conference centre which incorporates the former North Wales Theatre (now offically also known as Venue Cymru). The theatre is a modern and well equipped theatre which was purpose built to be the North Wales home for the Welsh National Opera. It has an ugly boxlike structure built on top of it (again the cause of much debate) which was necessary to hold the scenery and props required for WNO performances. There are comfortable seats, good views and a number of cafes and bars for interval refreshment. They do attract some big names and shows and the panto's are always a big draw in December. This years will star John Challis aka Boycie from Only Fools and Horses. The venue also includes a large hall which is used for large meetings, trade shows and is beginning to build a reputation as a concert venue with the likes of The Kooks, The Feeling, Enter Shikari and Pendulum all booked to appear soon. The rest of the building is made up of smaller meeting rooms with a number of bars and cafes dotted around. There is a particularly nice restaurant at the front which overlooks the bay. There is a reasonable sized pay and display car park at the back which is shared with the swimming pool next door but across the road is the Mostyn Champneys Retail Park which has a large, free carpark. This is now a very well appointed conference centre. Unfortunately despite having in excess of 250 hotels there is a feeling that there aren't enough of sufficient 'quality' to attract the big players but this is none the less a great asset to the town.
