    Quiche with side salad
    Beth G.

Stopped for lunch with co worker working Spartanburg. Kind of shocked this place had so many good reviews bc I think it wasn't good at all. Quiche was 75% soggy crust, and side salad was a handful of greens on same plate. My coworker got that Rueben. Rye bread had no rye. He wasn't impressed at all. The side potato salad no flavor, watery, and potatoes were hard. Won't be back.

Great place for tasty sandwiches in Spartanburg, SC. I got "The Cowboy": warm roast beef, cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions, horseradish mayo on toasted rye served with a pickle spear and potato chips. The service was fast and friendly, the price was right and the food was good. They were packed at lunch time, and apparently, keep a pretty full dining room during regular hours. The dining room could do with an upgrade to the chairs and the decor wasn't much to speak of, but it won't keep me from coming back to try their other delicious looking sandwiches! If you haven't already, give them a try next time you're in the area!

Great food! Wonderful friendly service! The food is freshly made to order perfection. I had the big cheese. This burger comes with Bacon, Pimento cheese, Tomalettuce, grilled onions.... yummmmmy! The portions are large, and I couldn't help but eat it all. I think I may have licked my fingers (in public) at one point. Oh, the sweet potato fries! Let me tell you. Crispy on the outside, soft in the center! They also offer honey on the side to go with. You won't be disappointed with your choice to stop and eat here.

Overpriced for the meager sandwiches they serve. Left disappointed. Little value to what you pay for.

This is a southern deli. They have some sandwich choices and chips. It is not very crowded. Service was quick and adequate.

Food was great but pricey! $30+ for lunch (sandwich and chips) for my son and myself is a bit high.

Sort of reminded me of an old diner that had be renovated to a clean upscale vibe. We ordered the steak kabobs and they were mouthwatering with flavor. My fiancee got an old fashioned and I got a rabbits foot, one of their craft gin cocktails. It was AMAZING, the gentleman's ice cube I believe was made with lavender so as it melted, your drink was even more flavorful and not watered down. He ordered the shiny duck and I the beef fillet and mashed potato. Both were also delicious, this is a farm to table spot so you know it's fresh. One thing which I didn't minus a star for was considering the price point I would think they would offer a vegetable with your meal. Few spears of broccolini or asparagus or carrots, just to make it feel a little more well-rounded of a plate. The were out of a few items being a busy day/night but we didn't mind. We will try them next go around. Our server Erin was just epic, great sense of humor and very attentive! We will be back again and make sure to sit in her section. Cheers to supporting local non chain restaurants!

Our drink orders were taken promptly, and when the drinks arrived, they also took our food order -- smooth and attentive service from start to finish. We started with the buffalo chicken dip with pimento cheese and pita bread, which was outstanding. The pita was perfectly toasted on the outside while staying warm and soft on the inside -- absolutely delicious. For our meals, I ordered the Down South Chicken Sandwich, and my girlfriend chose the Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Both were excellent. We cut them in half so we could try each other's, and honestly, I loved both. The flavors, freshness, and quality really stood out. I live in Greenville, and I would gladly make the 50-minute drive just to eat here again. Amazing food, friendly service, and a great overall experience. Highly recommend -- I'll definitely be back soon!

You'd be better off grabbing a box of Spinx chicken and a tall boy. As for the atmosphere--just a few neon lights trying (and failing) to distract from the fact that what they call "hot" is barely lukewarm. Update for the owners response: We ordered the Flocking Hot sauce on our sandwich. What we received was essentially the no-heat sauce with a few pepper flakes sprinkled in. We even asked for extra sauce, assuming there had been a mistake in reading the ticket--but the ramekin was the same: no heat, just pepper flakes. It was mild enough that my children dipped their nuggets in it. Rather than becoming defensive, it may be more productive to address and rectify the consistency and accuracy issues being pointed out.

I wandered into Main Street Bar & Eatery for what was supposed to be a "quick bite between quotes." Instead, I became spiritually welded to a barstool while the TV blasted a man in flannel yeeting a chainsaw like it owed him money. And the fried pickles. Good grief. Those things ambushed me. One minute I'm thinking "I'll just have a snack," and the next I'm waist-deep in a basket of fried circles of temptation, crunching my way into oblivion while pretending to "work." My laptop was open, sure, but let's not lie to ourselves -- I got absolutely nothing done. I was too busy yelling advice at professional lumberjacks like I'd trained for this moment my whole life. Have been coming here for years and this is the first time that a mandatory tip( charged as a service fee) was added. When asked what the fee was the server said that the manager told them that he should charge the gratuity since were a party of 7. There was six of us. When the manager came she said it was a party of 6 that they charge. When asked why their menus weren't noted that they charge mandatory gratuity. They said that they are printing new ones, that it is a policy that they just started 6 months ago. As far as I am aware in order for them to charge mandatory gratuity they have to have it posted in the menu. My point is if you change your policy at least have the menus updated before you have the policy in effect. Ended up paying the service fee of over $35 for all of us. Will be going to a place where tips are earned and not mandatory imposed as a service fee. The service was not outstanding, definitely had better service else where and didn't mind leaving a well deserved tip, way over the 18%.
