She opted to test for Covid and the flu which is understandable. The tests both came back negative and I stated I would need antibiotics because it's the only thing that works or I'll get worse. She said that I should simply rest and it'll run its course. Not listening to her patient caused me to get pneumonia and now I'm out of work again with worse symptoms way more pills to take all because they won't give antibiotics or listen to their patients.

I was assigned to Katlyn Lavin PA-C. My initial visit seemed fine but a little off. The nurse in charge of taking my initital vitals was pleasant enough, even though she seemed a bit unsure of herself. When she attempted to take my temperature she explained that the thermometer was a "bit temperamental". She was unable to make it work and said we would get back to that. Although we never did. Also, in taking a basic eye test, they made me stand in a hall with one eye covered reading letters off a chart. Seems easy enough. Except, at least 3 people walked down the same narrow hall which was incredibly distracting. All of that could be overlooked if the rest was consistent, but far from it. I had several blood tests taken as well as an EKG. I was told that if anything was off with the results, the doctor would call. I was also asked to make an appointment for the following week to have a Holter monitor attached for 48 hours. While speaking to the woman at the front desk, she asked if I needed an appointment card. i did not as I had entered it in my phone. When I showed up Monday, no one had put me in the books. Perhaps, they need to make their own appointment cards. After only a short wait (once again, this makes sense now), my monitor was put in place and then I was handed an appointment for a specialist in Springfield. I was told my blood results were not back yet, they were setting up a total of 3 appointments with different specialists for varying conditions. I am all for being cautious, but this seemed completely peculiar as I just had the monitor put on AND, the PA still had not called. 2 days later, I returned the monitor. Katlyn was not in the office and my blood results still weren't in. This was a week after the "2-3 day" window they had initially told me it would take. Funnily enough, when I opened my mail 2 hours later, my blood results were there with some pretty shocking news. News that the Dr. or PA or whomever was supposed to call me with. I called for 2 days in a row to ask questions. Stacey told me Katlyn was with other patients and she would hand deliver the messages. No reply. But I keep getting mail from the appointments set up from specialists. This seems to be a practice that treats patients like a Production Line. Don't waste your time as they clearly won't waste theirs.

Bryan and Brianna were awesome in tending to me with ice packs, anti-nausea medicine, and a thankfully not used puke bag. That afternoon I went to Holyoke urgent care across the street and they finished the job and removed all the wax but the provider at Priority 1 caused some ear irritation near the canal which is very tender and needs to heal. I have BCBS of Florida- PUC kept billing BCBS of Massachusetts, and kept sending me bills because (they said) my insurance didn't cover it. Only PUC is in network with BCBS of Massachusetts, and PUC is in network with BCBS of Florida, and BCBS of Florida covers me nationwide. I verified this with representatives from BCBS, and verified that I was covered at PUC. I paid PUC the amount BCBS said I owed, and then ask PCU to refill with Florida. They filed again with Massachusetts, and billed me again. I wrote again and asked PUC to file with Florida. They filed again with Massachusetts, and billed me again. I call PUC - they are based in Utah. On the phone, PUC Utah said they would refile with BCBS Florida. But they filed again with Massachusetts and sent me another bill. After 4 bills and a threat to send the bill to a collection agency, I am paying the amount that should be covered by my insurance. Just a warning before you accept any medical treatment from this group, make sure you're willing to pay for yourself - because insurance is not honored if their billing department has to do something super-complicated like find the address for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and change the paperwork that's already in the computer to resend it there.

They are absolutely wonderful, as our the nurses, who always call back with guidance the same day, if not within hours of my message. I don't write tons of reviews, but know how frustrating and disheartening. It can be to look for a good GP, haven't gone through that myself eight years ago. The reason I wanted to leave a review is because while waiting I noticed how kind and caring the staff were to everybody that walked through. They were extremely patient with everyone and went out of their way to accommodate the people who needed a little extra help filling out forms etc. The staff who did my testing were also very professional and kind. I have to do work place testing frequently however this was my first time at this specific location and I just wanted to shout out their staff bc I believe they are doing an amazing job and have great attitudes!

I asked the doctor if I should have a concussion screening. He told me there is as much proof that concussions without loss of consciousness exist as there is proof of ghosts. Refused to even check if my pupils dilatated properly. I also had back, neck, elbow and wrist pain. He said my elbow could not be broken because I could still move my arm. I informed him that my elbow had been broken previously and I had been able to move my arm at that time as well. He asked my what the substitute teacher situation was at my school of employment. This should have no bearing on the medical care that I receive. I opted to see a different provider for a follow up. Do not go here unless you have to.
