We purchased a used Ford F150 on 2/26/20 after our truck was totaled in an accident. At first the…read moredealership seemed very honest and forthcoming. But less than 18 hours after we got the truck home, all the dash lights started flickering on and off even the warning lights. The local Ford dealer in Madison (where we had serviced our last truck) suggested it was not safe to drive and had us tow it to them at our expense. They thought it was a loose wire and cleaned the plugs. When it happened again 2 days later, we took it back in and they diagnosed as needing a "cluster". Clusters are known electrical problems with older Ford trucks. Ewald agreed to fix this if we brought it to them and later rescinded the offer as the sale was "as is". They had disclosed a "flickering" of dash lights before the sale, but this goes far beyond a flickering. This is a safety issue as we would never be able to know if our warning lights were coming on for a real problem or not. Or could the truck be undriveable and leave us stranded due to the cluster going out? VERY dissatisfied customers now! we are stuck with about $1000 in repair costs, 2 times for diagnostics, and a tow, now a starter! UPDATE: We are very thankful that Ewald Management reached out to us and worked out a compromise solution. It was not 100% of our costs but we appreciate their time and attention.

We had it towed to them and they looked it over with an estimate within hours. Not only did they do the needed service for a low price (it wouldn't start and needed a new battery and other minor repairs), they were fast and responsive. The amazing part is that they took the credit card over the phone and then delivered the car back to dads house so I didn't have to find another driver to join me. A few months later, when we decided to sell the car, I called for maintenance records and they got them to me immediately. If that's not service, I'm not sure what is!

I visited the body shop today for an estimate and was very impressed with how I was treated…read more Instead of just writing up an estimate and sending me on my way, Scott grabbed a towel and recycled thinner and wiped off the "scuff" on the bumper and re-fastened other sections of the front grille area. A mere 15-20 minutes of work and my vehicle's damage looked 90% better. This was done free of charge even after I asked several times if I could pay something for his troubles. Scott only asked that I put the word out about my experience at the shop and that having good relationships with customers from the area was important to him. Now I may not even need work done but if and when I do, my first stop will be to the body shop at Uptown in Slinger!

Finally got ahold of Zach 2 months later. There was no effort to remedy the issue or discuss any reasonable solution. They did offer to charge me $50.00 an hour to look at it AFTER telling me it had a catastrophic electrical failure. It felt like once the sale was complete, customer service no longer mattered. I understand that used cars can come with risks, but a vehicle failing almost immediately raises serious concerns about how it was inspected or represented before sale. I would strongly caution others to be very careful when considering buying a vehicle from this dealer. Make sure to get an independent inspection and understand exactly what you're getting into, because support after the purchase will not be there.

These schmucks make Danny Devito in Matilda look like a reputable used car salesman. Save your time, money and sanity by steering clear of these guys!
