Great daycare services especially if you've gone through their obedience class because then they reinforce the training at the daycare. It's a large area for both small dogs and large dogs (which they separate). Inside play most of the time except for potty areas. They rarely close due to heat, but they do occasionally when the weather is severe. And most important, they really care about our dogs! read more

Nice dog daycare, my puppy is an only dog and it allows her to play with other dogs and burn off her high energy. I walk her 4 times a day but it doesn't compare to playtime with other dogs. Staff love dogs and it comes through. They have an efficient drop up and pick up with the current pandemic protocols. We will also utilize the training classes. read more

We regularly leave our dog at kennels for when we travel for weekend trips, etc. We left her here for three days and when we got our her back she was limping, her urine seemed an odd color, and she wouldn't eat for days. We think they left her to dehydrate which would explain the odd color in her urine. We have been to so many kennels in the past and we have NEVER seen our dog come back in such a ragged condition. My mother was extremely worried about her and I told her to take our dog to the emergency vet for a check up. We don't know what happened to her here, but we will never bring her back again. read more

We love Contented Canines. Our puppy is Level 2 Certified in Obedience training. We started in March 2017 and he completed Level 2 in July 2017. We take him to the daycare twice a week and he is there from 7-4. The staff is very friendly. We pay $200 for 13 days of daycare which is $15 a day. We believe its worth it for him to be socialized. He's worn out when he gets home. read more

Ive had dogs all my life and taken them to a variety of groomers and training facilities. All pleasant experiences. It's not the case at Contented Canines. Where do I begin?!? I'll start w the most recent and upsetting experience involving grooming. I brought in my gorgeous Australian Labradoodle with the most beautiful coat that never matts and spectacular head and face. I took home a chopped up version of a poodle . Her beard was completely sheared of or chopped off and her ears were cut very high. Her feet were coir pointed like a poodle. Look up Australian Labradoodles to see the proper trim. Anyway, I was not given my much deserved refund even though I was specific in what I expected her to look like when I brought her in. I spoke with the owner of facility and she was unsympathetic and unwilling to believe what took place. No refund. I took my doodle to be hopefully evened up since she was chopped and had another bath even though it was only 2 days since last one. She was dirty according to the new groomer and my dog hadn't been outside playing at all other than to potty on leash for those two days. The groomer at Contented a Canines hasn't a clue as to what breeds cuts should look like. She's terrible and with a terribly rude attitude. I doubt if she had any formal groomer training and if so, she didn't pay attention. On another matter, I paiid over $300 for obedience classes for my dog and that of my son's puppy. Several family medical issue came up preventing us from bringing our dogs to the classes. Neither classes were booked up and I gave notice way ahead of the weeks the classes were to take place. The owner refused to refund the money...not even 1/2 due to medical circumstances....not even one nickel. The medical issues continue and we will not ever be able to attend any classes. I am out $350. A lot of money. The owner is unbending, unreasonable and unapproachable on all levels. I have never dealt with anyone so unbendable, cold hearted and with absolutely no regard for the pleas of clients. She also doesn't seem to mind that the groomer she employs is rude and whiny to clients.....and that she has no idea how to groom dogs. She also cut the nose of my do and didn't tell me. On a side note, the facility itself is depressing with that dark, yellowish , sleepy lighting that isn't cheerful at all. The potty area is about 8x10 square area . The place just isn't nice........ The owner not about to be helpful to clients regarding anything. It's all about the money and nothing more. Bad place, horrible groomer. Stay away! read more

I have taken my dog to Contented Canines since she was a puppy. She's 8 years old now. She goes there 3 days a week for day care and I board her there on a regular basis when I travel. I love the staff and the care she receives. She is always glad to go in. She is a Brittany Spaniel and selective in people she likes. She perks up whenever she sees the staff she interacts with regularly. Great place! read more

Horrible experience. We took our 4 month old puppy for obedience class and it was the most unorganized place I've ever seen. The trainer, Kim, started late every week because she would wait for late-comers. I'm sorry but it's obedience class and you can't even start on time?! The class would run late, she would repeat herself the whole time and only the last 10 min or so would be new material. My puppy would get bored by the end of class (you wouldn't expect a kindergartner to keep attention for an hour) and so Kim stated that because she wouldn't do the "lay down" command she looked fearful and timid. I emailed her to see about a refund for the second course that had not started yet and she refused. She said my puppy and I needed serious work. The facility is filthy and expensive for the low quality of customer service. read more

The obedience training is stellar and professional. It is the only doggy day care place in the area where the staff actually play with your pets. We've been to them all and one I am sure he is kenneled longer than he plays and another he is in a small area and stressed. When I take our dog to CC he is pooped out and happy and I know he's had the opportunity to go potty. Other places I can tell he hasn't. This is also the only place that actually has you fill out a behavior profile for your dog. They test how your dog reacts to a couple of dogs before letting him in, and they have you make an appointment. Others don't and thus have no governance about what dog is there and how they respond.
