I would recommend calling to book an appt instead of trying online. Parking across the street $20. Went in for passport and walked out with one within an hour. Easy and quick process! Lista para más viajes!!

Ask the Community - Consulado General

Does anyone know what day is the best day to schedule an appointment online? Every week I keep trying to make an appointment online but it's always full and it won't let me make an appointment for the following week.

I highly recommend to call every day. I called everyday in match and on the 30th they finally had opening for the first week of April.

If I lost my appointment confirmation number , will they still see me?

Yes, they should have you in their system. Just arrived 15-20 minutes before your appointment.

Is there a phone number where I can speak to an actual person? The website is not helpful. Thanks.

How can I schedule an appointment?

Go on their website. But I would recommend you don't waste your time. Just show up! This place is FULL of inept, incompetent people that wouldn't know the difference between someone that has an appointment and someone that doesn't.

Overall, a very solid stay at Embassy Suites LAX…read more The rooms were clean and comfortable. The complimentary room snacks and perks were a fantastic, thoughtful touch that we really enjoyed as well as free self srrve breakfast. My only real complaint is the steep parking situation--paying nearly $70 a night on top of the room rate felt excessive If they adjusted the parking fee, it would easily be a five-star stay, but it's still a convenient and nice place to crash near the airport.

Our room key cards barely worked, and the digital key was completely unreliable. The airport shuttle took forever to arrive, and the hotel staff was not particularly friendly or welcoming. The air conditioning in our room was terrible, making it difficult to stay comfortable. On top of that, there were times when no staff members were at the front desk, even when we arrived after midnight, leaving us standing around waiting for assistance. The windows provided virtually no sound insulation, even on the higher floors. We could hear everything outside, including children running through the hallways, making excessive noise, and playing ding-dong ditch late at night. Between the outdated facilities, unreliable key access, poor air conditioning, long shuttle waits, lack of attentive staff, and excessive noise, this hotel fell far below our expectations. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will not be staying here again. Next time, I'll gladly take my business down the street to the Hilton Garden Inn. Save yourself the frustration and consider staying somewhere else. Honorable mention why tf is parking $71 that's just an absolute rip off. The gate to exit the parking lot that machine didn't work very well the way they have one plug for electric cars to charge is just ghetto.

Loved having the separate living room and mini fridge, as well as having not one, but THREE different sinks. Much needed when you have four women sharing a room together. The breakfast in the morning was solid. Lots of options and the different drink options were completely free too! The pool was kind of on the small side and there were only like two lounge chairs which were always taken, so we didn't even try to visit the pool. However, the vibe of the entire first floor/lobby/bar area made up for it. The layout of this place is so aesthetically pleasing. You'll see what I'm talking about in the photos I attached. The staff were always super helpful and friendly. It was super easy pulling in and out of the parking garage whenever we left/returned. My only gripe was the $48 a day for parking. That is A LOT even for LA standards, but you are super close to the airport I guess.

We were on the second floor (for some reason, my husband likes the lower floors if there's no view), unless you plan on enjoying the pool or are in charge of meetings happening in the conference rooms, do not ask for the second floor. Children running down the hall and yelling in excitement about the pool was a little annoying - mind you, I do *not* blame the children, nor do I blame the hotel staff. Kids running and yelling in the hall (and one kicking our door on his way) is on the parents for letting it happen. The rooms are clean and give you plenty of space. The breakfast was pretty darned fantastic, omelets and even pancakes/waffles/french toast (it appears they change up the carb offerings every morning). It's a really large breakfast offering, being allergic to to egg I didn't take a lot of time wandering around because I always just go straight for the cereal. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is terrific, there's a little store onsite but there are also a couple of convenience stores not too far away. We'll definitely be there again next time we're in the area. Thank you for reading my review!

I have stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Glendale multiple times and am a loyal Hilton customer…read more In general, I've always appreciated Hilton hotels because of their friendly and accommodating staff. Unfortunately, my most recent stay was extremely disappointing. There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues throughout my stay. The bathroom conditioner dispenser was not properly secured to the wall and repeatedly fell off during the night. Although it was supposedly fixed, the same issue happened multiple times. The coffee machine was also not cleaned properly. It still contained old black residue left behind by a previous guest, and I had to request a replacement. The worst issue was the bathroom. There was a strong sewage odor that made it feel like we were next to a sewer. I reported it to the front desk, but despite informing them, the problem was never resolved during our stay. To make matters worse, when I received my final bill, I was charged $3 for a bottle of water that I had used to rinse the dirty coffee machine because it was unusable as provided. What disappointed me the most was the lack of management involvement. Despite all of these issues, the General Manager never reached out to acknowledge the poor experience. A simple concern for the guest's experience would have gone a long way. I have always enjoyed staying at Hilton properties, which is why this experience was so surprising. I hope management takes guest feedback more seriously and provides additional customer service training to ensure situations like this are handled much better in the future.

When you're dealing with any government agency I find it best to be prepared. Understand the…read moreprocess and what is needed, especially what docs you need to present. With AI technology quickly becoming more prevalent many government agencies are not allowing walk ins except for certain cases. You will be required to make an appointment. We found this to be true with the Consulate here. In the state of California there are only 2 locations. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea can be found in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The San Francisco office also consuls over Colorado, Utah and Wyoming while the Los Angeles office includes Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. We needed to renew a Korean passport. After visiting the website we found the steps fairly easy to follow. For any other office it is best to check their own respective websites. The steps are not standard and can be entirely different. We made an online appointment through the 365 Overseas Korean Portal. The appointment was 1.5 weeks away. I thought it would be much further out but thankful for the shorter time. You then need to fill out their form and submit that. It's basic information and what it is you're trying to do. Simple. With that set we went through the steps again to make sure we had the proper documents needed. In this case your Korean passport a valid U.S. passport/Green Card/Visa. You also need your Driver's License and work permits. They wanted photo copies. Luckily they have a copy machine there for 25cents a copy. Not bad just remember to bring quarters. You will also need a passport size photo taken by a professional. This part use to erq me. If you don't have that, this consulate has a photo booth on the premises for you to take that photo. And it's free of charge. When you sit in the booth it tells you what to do. Tilt your head up, turn to the left, etc. It was great. This office only accepts cash, and had to be the exact amount. Found that strange. Not sure if that's true for all the others and is best to check those websites. The good thing is this office has a change machine. It's best to figure what fees you need to pay, and what the total is so you know what the exact amount is. We brought this with us and extra cash in case there would be something surprisingly we would have to pay for. That didn't happen. It also adivses to bring a self addressed express mail envelope for them to mail your passport . In our case, however, that option was not available.. How that was going to be handled would have to wait till the appointment. Right next to the consulate is a parking lot. It is not free unless you have an appointment with the consulate and you get your ticket validated. Fulfill those 2 requirements and your parking is free. If not be prepared to pop some twenties. Not sure if they give change. It is also important to note this office closes at noon to break for lunch. So, plan your visits accordingly or you could be waiting longer than you like. Our appointment was at 11:00 to 11:30. We got there at 11:11 on a Wednesday. Once you're in there you need to make the copies you need. We did. Get your photo. We did and it was actually fun. Then, you can take a number to be qued. There were 4 people before us not all were renewing passports. And only 2 tellers. The reviews talk badly about teller #2. She was not there. And they talked sweetly of number 7. He was not there either. When our number was called I was surprised we waited only 26 minutes. We presented our documents and stated what my wife needed. The agent started going through the paper work, clattering away filling in digital forms and documents and glancing at other references to ensure she was doing everything correctly. And in 9 minutes it was done. She said everything was good and needed to return on a specific date to pick up the passport. If we cannot pick it up that day, we could pick it up any other day they are open. We would not need to stand in line just go to the front teller to request it and it would be there. I guess the brown bag of food was not needed. This whole process may seem confusing and frustrating but in taking the time to review it was easier than expected. The steps\instructions were very clear. The copy machine, change machine and photo booth were big pluses. The agents were nice and pleasant. Why can't they all be like this?

Her application was checked and verified at the counter, payment was collected, and she was instructed to wait for the oath-taking ceremony scheduled before noon. After waiting for two and a half hours, her name was finally called at noon for the oath, only for them to inform her that her birth certificate was missing her parents' details. They halted the process on the spot. Despite this being a clear oversight during their initial verification, they refused to give her a refund. When we checked into our room, I found fingernails on the floor, and the bathtub was dirty with visible dirt still in it. The water in the shower also kept going from hot to cold, which made showering pretty unpleasant. The TV was another issue -- the channels kept losing signal, and the system was incredibly slow. It honestly felt like they were using a cable box from 20 years ago. We were especially excited to use the swimming pool, but were very disappointed when we saw how murky and cloudy the water was. We checked it around 5 PM after checking in and hoped it would be cleaned by the next day, but unfortunately, it still looked the same. We never felt comfortable getting in. There were a few positives. The location is great -- only about 10 minutes from Disneyland Resort -- and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I can also imagine the shuttle service ($7/day for all-day service) being very convenient, although we didn't get a chance to use it. I also really liked the layout of the room with the separate bedroom, which was nice for our stay. Overall, though, the cleanliness and maintenance issues really took away from the experience. I wish we could have enjoyed the hotel more because there were definitely some things we liked about it.

We all know parking in LA is a nightmare, but I still have to say their garage parking rate at $5 for every 10 minutes - again, if you arrive too early, the clock is ticking on your parking fees that you have zero control over! With a daily maximum of $46, it's straight out robbery. And the fact they provide no validation parking for people who are basically forced to come here; it's not like we want to come here for fun. So don't even think about parking here if you need to fill out an application. I knew this beforehand, so I decided to walk miles here instead. I also did the application online for more convenience (not having to visit this place twice), but their integration with their app can also be confusing and finicky to use. Once you tell the lobby receptionist your purpose of visit/show ID, they will give you a sticker to put on yourself, and then security will escort you to the elevator. The office is on the 17th floor. You go through security again to enter the office and grab a ticket number to be called. Luckily, this part went smoothly (as long as you followed their requirements on what to bring) Picking up passport for me was $106. I honestly wish they would have more convenient locations to pick it up because I hate driving down to traffic-ghetto-price-gouging LA and deal with the parking and all the hassles included.
