Most of the park is closely-clipped lawn but there are concrete paths and some benches. The park is named for Brigadier General Francis Marion (c. 1732 - 1795), a South Carolina native who fought during the Revolutionary war. The large square is lined with benches on the sides, and planter boxes at the front. A nice place to sit and soak up some sun when in the area. Come back in the spring when the color is in full bloom, and get some fresh air.
