He told me via email that he had changed his plans and was going out with a private lesson instead of taking us out. His policy says that if there is a cancellation due to weather you can't get refunded, you have to reschedule, so he wouldn't give me a refund. I booked him for a trip with friends who were only in town for a weekend and he couldn't fit us in to reschedule during the weekend. I called and left voicemails all day asking him to please call me and he never picked up the phone. Extremely unprofessional, he abused his weather policy to keep my money and also get a private lesson in when it worked for him with no regard for the client.

Normally there are 75 to 90 people on board, we had a total of 14 and had the boat pretty much to ourselves. Such a great guy, and you can tell that he really loves what he does. We booked the two hour sail for 4 people that included a sail to the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan Skyline on the Hudson River. The whole sailing experience was wonderful and relaxing, and the views were gorgeous. Also really enjoyed listening to all his stories and histories about the area as we sailed (he'll share with you as much or as little as you want!). We booked the sail so our friend could propose to his girlfriend during it, and Captain Eric worked with him both in advance and while on the sail to ensure that it all went smoothly and perfectly! This included live updates on the weather and the option to reschedule due to inclement weather. He also gave advice on the best portion of the sail for the proposal. We were also able to take some great engagement photos while on the boat as well (and Captain Eric even grabbed some great candids for us as well!). Overall, the most wonderful experience, and hands down will do it again next time we return to New York.

Mother Nature did most of the heavy lifting (the lake, the land, the sky) and the weather cooperated as well.  The residents up this way made sure our views were enviable, thanks to all the lovely houses and 'toys' (boats, docks, slides) we got to marvel at while putt-putting all along the water for (about) two hours. The vessel (Miss Lotta) was very cool (two levels), very clean, and the entire staff (from bow to stern) were incredible. The one element of the day that wasn't successful?  The food. Bland pasta, boring veggies, okay salad, a chicken dish that had more than a few other people around us all whispering, "That wasn't very good, right?" - the only element that got rave reviews at our table was the pork chop. (They had a sign which mentioned the food was catered by The Windlass - which has always been a 5-star visit the few times we've been there, too.) Near the end we had a plate of desserts (evenly split between a chocolate brownie and a banana one) along with (a bland) coffee - and that kinda-sorta saved the day (especially that banana one). (Alcoholic) drinks were not included and they didn't get high marks at our table, either. We would definitely book another cruise in the future (they had TV screens on a loop showing all the various ideas/options/holidays available) even if we'd be hesitant about the food.

He takes just as good of care with his boat as he does with his clients, and is super accommodating. *The boat was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Had a microwave and stove! Lots of space on the table and seating around it. *Location of the boat was VERY CONVENIENT!! Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. My friends and I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed our time sailing and relaxing , and will definitely sail with captain Steve again this summer!

This was our first time to New York and we did a sunset cruise and we were blown away!! The Captain and crew were outstanding and so accommodating and pointed out many landmarks around the harbor.. We got up close to the Statute of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge and saw Manhattan lights by night. The weather was perfect and this cruise was the best highlight of our whole trip to New York!! Just want to say thank you again to Captain Scott and the Crew as you two were awesome!!
