They showed up early the next morning only to learn" THEY SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE ". I've ask the owner to call me without response. I've always had great experiences with this store over the years, both buying and selling, and was very impressed recently with the team that checks in your stuff to sell. Wish I had the gentleman's name to add here because he was excellent at pricing things, and everyone else working there was also very helpful and kind. They came out to my car with carts and helped me unload, and even though it was a Saturday afternoon (and probably the busiest time for consigning) I was taken care of pretty quick. Prices are amazing low, although although a lot of the furniture maybe a little dated. If your ok with that, you could literally furnish your house! The people who work in intake where you drop your items off have a horrible attitude, ignore you, have smarty answers and basically dictate what needs to be done.. They are awful at customer service. Take your items to the store downtown where they have four full intake people that are considerate and not rude and can expedite your drop off and not have to stand around for 20 minutes. In addition I asked to see the owner/manager and one of the employees flat out lied and she was not there. I have been there before and found her to address the issue. If I were her I would fire all these people and start over but I guess the job is not that glamorous and can't find any competent people. read more

This is a treasure trove! They have a wide variety and large quantity of home furnishings. Art, rugs, lighting fixtures, chairs, tables, couches, and more. I bought a hanging decorative mirror and a large leather ottoman. Prices are really mixed. I paid $300 for that Restoration Hardware 40x40" tufted leather ottoman, but you can find beautiful chandeliers for only $100! They have tape measures you can borrow at the cash register. If you find what you want, take the tag off and bring it to the front register. Staff will help load into your car. Sales are final and you have three days to pick up your purchase. read more

We are in the process of moving out of state and based on the recommendation of an organizer I am working with took some of my "collectible vintage stuff" (or whatever!) to this place. So my primary purpose was as a seller/consignee but I have to say their collection of goods is truly amazing. Its one place I will be sad to not have after our out of state move. NOTE if you are consigning stuff - as a long time reseller plus someone who acquired my mom's "hoarder house" full of goods, please know that your stuff is not worth as much as you think it is. If you have pieces you think are of great value, do the research before you go to know what to expect INCLUDING looking on Facebook Marketplace. I am so so happy with the staff and the results. They are pricing for items to move and my stuff is definately moving at an amazing pace. My mom was an "antiques roadshow" woman and she literally thought for years before she passed her stuff was "priceless". As an only child who aquired a bucket of "stuff" the reverse was true-most of what she thought was valuable if not for sentimental value was worth nothing, and the things she never would have thought were valuable sold for a lot Just will give an example - my mom had a lot of old furniture. She has a lot of solid wood antique pieces including an original lawyers bookcase. They didnt sell for much (me selling), BUT what sold with multiple folks wanting to buy were the laminate mid century pieces with great lines. Stuff from Sears in the 60's 70's but in perfect condition with great style. You "stuff" isnt worth anything if no one wants it no matter what you think. Again thanks to staff!!! read more

When I first contacted Consignment classics, They referred me to Craig. I spoke with Greg for 2 weeks at leastAnd he gave me a price of $800 to come and get my stop. The day before he was supposed to arrive he said oops I made a mistake, The cost will be $1300 not $800 to come and pick up my stuff. I said no. I contacted them back and they said they could take everything except a display case. I have my own people that can move the furniture. Then I get an email saying They would only take one of my pieces. Please underswetand, I bought my bedroom set in Beverly Hills on Wilshire boulevard From a mansion. I was a little surprised but okay. After giving it some thought I realized that this place is not efficable. They changed quoted prices of furniture to be delivered to the store and then they changed what they would and would not take. My other furniture is gorgeous as well, all solid wood with keys. The woman taking inventory...carried on her conversation with a coworker/friend as I stood there awkwardly awaiting instructions on what to do next. She told me to write my name on the waiting list (which I already had done). The utter incompetence was mind-numbing. Went into the store to pick up my "purchase" only to have a person behind the counter behaving like she was on quaaludes! Trash or treasure, that is the question, anything goes at Consignment Classics. Furniture has feelings too and does not want to be whisked away to Goodwill after years of service in your home. Give it the loving that it deserves and help it find a new family by putting it up for adoption. If it sells the first month you will receive 50% of the negotiated sale price. The price goes down 20% the next month and finally ends up at 50% discount for the last month. After that you better go get it back, they will not call you and you forfeit it after 90 days. I asked why they do not call and the rationale was that they have too many pieces to manage but that begs the question of how they are able to mark goods down every 30 days, how can both things be true at once? The large warehouse is home to thousands of pieces ranging from souvenirs from that basket making class to ornate gilded mirrors and more. Don't come with a shopping list of specifics or you will leave empty handed. Open up the right side of your brain and take in all of the second hand furniture. I have been to this store twice now. They have really nice things, way nicer then a typical thrift store. Apparently, they get a lot of their things from estate sales. I can tell you there are some diamonds in the ruff in this store. I couldn't believe some of the art work and concert clothing they have for really cheap prices. WARNING!!!!!!! You may be cheated by this store like us. They are liars. We do NOT TRUST the store anymore. My husband and I came to visit the store and met a salesman. After going around, we had conversations to decide to buy a SET OF 3 PIECES Tables. During the conversations, we asked him about the price for the table set of 3 pieces, and he also confirmed us the price of that set of 3 pieces in 2 times, then we agree to buy the set of 3 tables with that price. However, on the delivery day, the store delivered only one table of the set to us. Immediately, we came to the store and told the manager the whole conversations between us and the salesman. The salesman was cheating us on selling the tables. The manager was so bad, too. He did not help us to resolve the problem. He did not refund the money to us or did not let us exchange to the other products. This is first time in America that we know a store does not allow customers to returns products. Even, they did not let us know their policies. We are sure this store's policy is violating the US laws of protecting customers. We were so angry and very disappointed about this store. Keep in mind everything they sell - from the ancient, rusty tin of saltine crackers to the 50 foot cocaine empire plush sofa - is crap that someone else got rid of one reason or another. Yes there are disturbing, possibly bloodstained wedding dresses and ornate, possibly demonic porcelain dolls for sale here but there are also showroom recliners from furniture liquidators and attractive dressers and cabinets. Let's all face facts, it's the quantity and variety of goods that makes this place good. The women that run both the smaller store and larger one are pretty rude and I wouldn't recommend this business at all. They claim to close at 7:00 on there business hours but we were rudely told to leave at 6:40 from the larger store, headed over to the smaller store and it was even worse with rudeness in asking us to leave early. Change your business hours if you don't want to stay until 7? Not to mention they have high prices for used dirty furniture. I know it's to be expected but the whole place wreaks. We have dropped off many items at Consignment Classics a number of times over the years. The lady who handles the inventory knows her stuff! She is able to price items accurately and fairly. When ever something sells, a check will arrive in the mail which is very convenient. It is best to drop off items during a non-busy time otherwise there are many trucks in the back parking lot of people with furniture to drop off or boxes of items to sell. read more
