Hands down amazing experience. I've never been to a spa or done any of these treatments before but…read moreI got the Shiny Pearl and I definitely felt like one after. The staff was so kind and helped explain all the facilities and gave suggestions on which to use at what time. The treatment itself was heavenly. And all the facilities were so clean! They have a bunch of different hair/skin products to use after your treatment and they have tea, a coffee machine, water and snacks in case you're in need of some sustenance during your visit. They even have an ATM near the entrance if you forget cash for your tip, or you can Venmo/Zelle. I will 100% be coming back!

Facilities were clean and lovely, they have the spas and massage rooms on the first floor and a clay and salt room on the second floor. There is a vanity room where there are plenty of snacks and water/coffee/tea for you to rehydrate yourself with. I believe you get an hour before and after your appointment to enjoy all the amenities. And if you get the scrub highly recommend coming early and softening up your skin in the spas beforehand. I got the silverbell 1 hour message, which comes with the scrub, massage, and also a hair wash. The lady was super gentle and checked in on me whether that was the water temperature, scrub pressure or the massage strength. I thought with everything going on in this it might feel too rushed but time felt well budgeted.

The owners and staff are extremely welcoming and hospitable. The grounds, including the olive orchard are beautiful and quiet. Dark nights with a sky full of stars. The pool is beautiful, especially the two hot tubs. My non-rider Sweetie to advantage of two days of treatments in the excellent Spa. An excellent plated full hot breakfast greeted us each morning - served in the main building or your room. Our suite was enormous and nicely appointed including a huge spa tub. Our bikes were accommodated overnight in a spacious locked area. Late afternoon we were treated to wine and cheese with their own branded olive oil (big yum factor). By special arrangement we were treated to a freshly prepared BBQ with grilled tri-tip and chicken, fresh from their garden grilled onion and peppers salad, a fresh salad with fresh tomatoes and for dessert ice cream with the various olive oils (my fav was the chocolate infused olive oil). A second night we had an Italian feast with a vodka sauce using their homegrown tomatoes, fresh pasta, grilled chicken, grilled shrimp in a butter sauce and excellent bread. This was followed by a scrumptious homemade tiramisu. We will most definitely be back! Also, ask Derek about the flag in the main building.

Great me time: relaxing in the hot tub, steam room (really appreciated trying the salt rub!), cold plunge, sauna. Half wear swimsuits and half are nude on a women's day. There were about 20 guests at any given time in the wet baths area. Love the towels in ice and the cucumber and lemon water The locker area can be a tight squeeze during peak times (especially right before people are starting their massage appointments) so I sat to the side and waited for it to clear out. Only one blowdryer, it is in the restroom in the larger hallway. Please hang your towel and stuff up and don't leave it on chairs or lounger. I also liked the steam room since you can rub salt all over you - The hot sauna was really good temperature and I liked that they had a clock inside - The cold plunge was the perfect temp and you can also see the clock - The hot pool was surprisingly amazing and I stayed in in longer than I planned - The hot tea and cold towels were a big plus Bad: - More on the expensive side - I also got a massage but it wasn't super memorable Overall would come again!

This place was such a little surprise tucked away in the Berkeley/Oakland/Piedmont area! I honestly…read moredidn't know what to expect, but it ended up being fantastic. If you're looking for somewhere to escape the workweek and relax for a few hours, this is definitely a spot to check out. The minute we walked in, we were greeted at the front desk, and check-in was quick and easy since our appointments were already booked. We were taken down the hallway to sauna 7, where we spent the next hour in a private Jacuzzi. The room was nicely set up, the water temperature was perfectly warm, and everything was extremely clean and smelled fresh. I was a little nervous about the cleanliness beforehand, but this was so much better than being in some communal Jacuzzi or at someone's apartment. You're able to change into your bathing suit once you're inside the room. After about an hour, we were able to shower right there in the same private room before heading upstairs for our spa treatments. I started with a facial, which was amazing. It was my very first facial, and I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. I also did a hand treatment where they dipped my hands in warm wax, and afterward my hands felt as smooth as a baby's bottom! Lastly, I had a massage, and it was both relaxing and effective. I seriously felt like I could have fallen asleep right there in the masseuse's hands. Overall, I loved the entire experience. I've never been somewhere where I could relax in a private Jacuzzi for an hour, shower, get multiple spa treatments, and leave feeling completely refreshed and energized for the week ahead. I'll definitely be back. It was absolutely worth the trip over the bridge, and a big shout-out to everyone who works here for doing such an awesome job!

I just tried to book what their site said was an open evening slot. The booking app is a circular nightmare that would nit accept my debit card. I tried to call in several times and was met with a loop of a voicemail repeating that their staff was busy ( not like, instrumental music that would have been fine). I gave up and called Albany Hot Tubs on Solano Ave. (where I'd been before, also as a gift). I got a live person immediately. They had an earlier appointment available that I took. Their machine was glitching at the desk, but the clerk (Emma) said they would send an invoice confirmation in a few minutes. They did it and I booked the appointment. Though my experience was fine at Piedmont, I should note that I was not surprised by the reviews describing standoffishness, rudeness and general passive aggressive racism ( and specifically anti-Black ) experiences customers have had there . Piedmont Ave. Disappointed but surprised/not surprised. ‍‍‍‍

When I walked in, I was greeted by Brianna, who was incredibly sweet, patient, and kind. I've been to places in the past where I felt rushed to fill out the intake form so my service could get started, so it was really nice not to have that experience here. I was offered water and tea when I arrived, and Brianna explained the services to me very clearly before pairing me with the wonderful Jay as my massage therapist. Jay was very calm and thorough when explaining the massage and asking what I wanted to focus on. She is extremely knowledgeable and clearly takes her work seriously. This was one of THE BEST massages I've ever had! Thank you, Brianna and Jay, for such a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be visiting again soon!

When we received the confirmation it listed our appointment time at 12:30 am. I immediately called back and before I could even say anything Angela said in the most condescending voice imaginable that "The machine just made a mistake and the appointment was entered correctly as 12:30 pm since we are not even open at 12:30 am" How many think Angela made a mistake vs the machine? Ps. I love the technicians just don't like Angela or the Assistant Manager.

Nyla greeted me with efficient, personable service (dare I say, sweet). She made me feel welcome right away and set the tone for the whole visit. The decor and amenities are wonderful. The waiting area offered snacks, orange-infused water, and tea. I settled into a cozy chair with soft weighted blankets, which made it easy to relax. There were no signs asking for silence, yet everyone naturally relaxed into the serene atmosphere and enjoyed the quiet My facial with Alisha and Swetish massage was the true highlight. They were both personable and skilled. I got the glass facial. My skin felt refreshed, and I am glowing. You could see your reflection in my skin. My massage with Kay was equally outstanding: thoughtful, restorative, and exactly what I needed. It was a joy to be cared for by a team that reflects the love they have for what they do. What's more, Woodhouse has created a comfortable, inviting space where every guest can walk in and feel welcome. Congratulations to Alexa, the Manager. It shows in every interaction. As the saying goes, "Sound leadership makes for a happy staff, and a happy staff makes for happy guests." The cleanliness, comfort, the sweet woman who refilled the snacks, and the team's warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness make for a perfect spa experience. Worth every penny! Thank you, Woodhouse Spa, for a beautiful, restorative experience. I'll be back soon!

The spa itself was clean, relaxing, and had a lovely relaxing ambience. We did receive a call the day prior, asking to move our appointment due to a staff member calling out sick. This was completely understandable, and fortunately, we didn't have any other plans, so our schedule was flexible. I thought it was a nice gesture to offer complimentary red light therapy or a sauna session as a "thank you". We opted for the red light therapy, which was a cool experience! I honestly had no expectations and wasn't sure what to expect, lol. It's essentially a very small booth with bright red lights. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the chair inside the booth, as it feels too large for the space. A simple stool would probably suffice and allow for more room. Unfortunately, the massage itself was a different story, and I left feeling disappointed with the overall quality of the service, especially compared to past experiences I've had at other spas, such as the Lafayette Park Hotel. My massage therapist appeared not to have reviewed my intake form, as she was unaware that I had specifically requested that my feet not be touched. To put this into perspective, I've received prenatal massages that involved significantly more intentional muscle work and attention than what I experienced during this session. Frankly, I could have had my husband rub lotion on me at home and received a similar experience, which is disappointing given that I specifically booked a professional spa treatment. I also mentioned at the beginning of the session that I was experiencing aches in my back, hoping that area could receive some additional attention, but very little focus was given to it. I understand that every therapist has their own style, but I left feeling that the service fell well below my expectations and did not reflect the level of quality I had anticipated from Woodhouse Spa. While I appreciated the ease of booking, the professionalism of the front desk staff, the relaxing and clean environment, and the complimentary red light therapy, the massage was ultimately the main service I came for, and it just wasn't up to par with past experiences.
