She gave me a sample of her Milk Stout Sea Salted Caramel and I was in nirvana...OMGit was so good I helped myself to seconds. She told me a little bit about the back story of her company. She started of telling me about the company name and how came about because she's a type 1 diabetic who makes (non diabetic friendly) candy...hence Sweet Irony! I thought that was super clever....her story was eye opening but I wish her the best of luck! Before I left the restaurant I bought 1 bag of Caramels and 1 box of English Toffee. Before I got home I devoured the whole bag of caramels! It was amazingly yummy...I was hooked! Honestly, I felt super guilty afterwards and if my guilt didn't shame me I would have ate the whole bag of English Toffee as well! I added her on Instagram. She has the best species, such as Sugar Dragon, which bares fruit that is out of this world. A juicy sweet flavor explosion. She also has the Nicaraguan red and purple flesh varieties that are only now becoming available in the United States. Whenever I visit I also buy twenty pounds or more of whatever variety of avocado that is in season at that time. I drive down from Los Angeles. I decided to call some bakeries in Fallbrook and Temecula for a birthday cake, but they were all too busy with wedding cakes. My sister-in-law then said she would just get one from the grocery store. Well, I knew that that would not fly with my niece, especially for her 50th birthday! I am so happy that I found Savvy Macs in Fallbrook. It was easy to pre-order, and convenient for me to pick up on our way. My niece was floored by the beauty of her 50th birthday macaron sampler! I don't know how many pictures she took of it, from every angle! She just loved it, and the flavors they picked based on color were just delightful! My favorite however, was the pistachio. We ended up going to a fall festival in Fallbrook, and stumbled across a booth for Savvy Macs, so my niece was able to thank them for the beautiful macaron ensemble. Thank you to the ladies of Savvy Macs for coming through for us, and for such a beautiful creation!
