It is not a very big place, just one room with a few tables and 3 small tables outside on a small walkway. The centerpiece is the big counter where you can see all the great cakes and breads they make here. Apart from tea and cake you can also have several savoury lunch options. We went to this place twice during our stay on the Isle of Man and both times we had delicous tea with a gorgeous piece of cake. Everything here is homemade and you can taste it. The staff is really friendly and does everything to make you feel right at home and even has time for a little chat about the place and the food they prepare here. I can really recommend this little tea room for lunch or a very relaxed afternoon tea after you have walked around Snaefell to warm you up again. Great place with great staff - go try it!

It came with onions which wasn't detailed on the menu so I sent it back. To be fair they took it back and made me another order so they get stars for good service and doing the right thing which really pleased me!! Well done!! The downside though was the price which was £10.95 for a plate of eggs and sausage and VERY small bottle of water. I think it was worth £7-£8 but at ££10.95 is definitely overpriced. If the extra chorizo was on the plate it didn't feel like it. not sure what normal looks like but if it is half the sausages for £2 less then it is still overpriced. It was a couple of eggs and 2 cut up sausages. In fairness it was very tasty however the price for what was received left me feeling let down. Maybe this is an oddity on there menu but I will see when I come back again.

We visit family in IOM about every 6 months, we just had breakfast at the Alpine a few days ago…read more(May 2017), very tasty and reasonably priced. Their concept of pop up weekend dinners is fabulous, the week we were there they had smoked meats on the menu for Friday night, and Brazilian for Saturday night, I think 25 sterling fixed price per person for multi course meal. So far we have not been able to experience the pop up dinners but it sounds fantastic. Everything is so delicious, clearly a very talented culinary staff.

We stopped in just for a cappuccino and tea, but they had an amazing afternoon tea special for 11.95 for two which contained either coffee (cappuccino) or tea and two platters full of various types of sandwiches and deserts. It was probably big enough for four people and we definitely couldn't finish it, although it was not for lack of trying. Service was quick and friendly and it was a pleasant atmosphere. It is a large place which allows for it to get quite busy. It was a quiet weekend when we were there, but it was still quite busy. If anything, I would say that would be a testament to the quality of this place.
