I think just about everybody feels that way and when you can find a mechanic that you trust they're worth their weight in gold. I needed to get my car e-checked so I could renew my registration and since the engine light came on, I absolutely had to have it serviced prior to getting the E check done. So yelp recommended Lakewood Firestone tire pros and I decided to accept that recommendation. I dropped my car off and unfortunately due to a power outage. They were unable to get to it but that's just life in Lake with these days. They called me the next morning with a quote and had the card done by the end of the day. It was reasonable and about what I expected to pay and I was grateful that they got it done so quickly cause to be honest I waited a little too long to get my E check done and I was under the gun. I think I found my new mechanic in Lakewood.

This kind of customer treatment is what turns a regular customer to a non customer for a 5 minute job. I hope Mr. Tire realizes our business from this establishment is now over. We will never go back. Great business model you've got going there Mr. Owner.

They said they were behind and would let me know. Estimate: $50 just to put the car on the lift, replacement tire: $250-375. Luckily, before my appointment friends suggested I go elsewhere. Glad I did. Van's was very upright and honest because frankly, being a female, I have been "fooled" into spending money I dont have. Their service was fast, friendly, and very accommodating. I did NOT need a new tire and to fix my issue was $27. That was 2 weeks ago. This week I had a similar problem...a different tire was completely flat. Friends pumped my tire enough that I was able to get to Van's and again, they patched/fixed my tire:$27. They couldn't estimate how long it would take for them to get to my vehicle and offered to take me home and pick me up when it was ready. THAT my friends is service. Now before anyone suggests otherwise...in 50 years of driving I ever had a flat tire . When I signed the papers for both my financing and insurance I opted out for roadside assistance and extended warranty to save a few $$$. Just go to Van's!

(Sounds fishy) Get in my car after the repairs and now suddenly the power steering pump is whining like it's being deprived of power steering fluid. Now Brady says "well, you didn't want to pay for the diagnosis. So we can't tell you what's wrong." It was NOT having any issues with my power steering BEFORE I took it in and now suddenly overnight the pump went out when it was perfectly fine yesterday and the belt was replaced a month ago. Make it make sense. I feel like they pinched a line or did something to sabotage my power steering to get more money from me. I decided to take my car home anyways but the whole way it was SCREAMING!! I will be getting a second opinion about this!! Let me also be perfectly clear!! There were NO issues with my power steering BEFORE I took my car in. I've had it looked at 2 times in AZ and once here in Cleveland by Toyota only a month ago when they replaced the belt for the power steering. The rack and pinion needed replaced before the boots were torn and you can't just replace the boots.
