Since we elected to have the front and rear differential fluid changed along with our transfer case fluid change in addition to our 13 Qt oil change (diesel), we spent the time sitting in our car and talking to the team. They are the most "well oiled machine" (pun intended) ever! We were super impressed with the teams communication with one another and we've never had such an awesome experience getting an oil change. Asst manager Enrique was running our "lane" and the team that pushed our "NASCAR PIT STOP" through included Ron, Lee (under the hood), Adrian (down in the pit), Lance, Chris and Herb (the Big Boss). When I took the car for another e-check, they failed my car, even though I had spent over $400.00. I went back to Michael's to complain. He got in the car with me and we went to the e-check site. He complained to the manager to no avail. I dropped him off at the shop, he said he was going to call the EPA. He called and talked to "Dave" at Ohio E-check. He overrode the decision to fail my car. I went back and my repairs were accepted and my car passed. Great job for Michael's!! I will definitely will be going back for any other repairs that I need.

With no staff to watch the front they are no longer allowing customers to sit and wait for their vehicles. I had to walk home, at 70 years old, with bad joints and hearing aids, in a dangerous heat index and pouring rain, because I couldn't wait. I called corporate and their response was, gee, thats really terrible, we can send you a $35 store credit for your next visit. You just tortured me and you want me to come back? NOT going to happen. Unless Monro saves itself, don't patronize because YOU will bear the brunt of the cuts. Quality and service are now gone.

I have been going to Pallens…read moreAutomotive for probably 25 years or more, I ran an automotive parts store and serviced the Pallens shop and even his one son Michael worked for me. I have two vehicles, my 2012 Chevy Silverado 4x4 and my wife's 2013 Ford escape AWD. My wife's car had a check engine light and a low tire pressure light come on the dash. I've told Tom, Steven, Victor and all of the other mechanics to never put cheap or one year warranty parts on any of my vehicles and from day one I've never complained about a repair bill. Now after calling and telling Steven that the code was 051, a crank case pressure sensor. Steven called and told me to bring the car into the shop Friday at 9:30am and he'll check it out. Now every time I deal with Steven he tells me that he'll check it out and call me but that never happens and we're without a car for two to three days and when I call he tells me oh I gotta check this or I gotta check that when in reality he's blowing smoke up my butt. Well the truth came out that Friday. When my wife dropped off her car she asked when can I pick up my car, now remember Steven told me 9:30am, well it was 8:30am. My wife was to told she could pick up her car at 4:00pm. I picked up my wife at her job in Elyria at 3:55pm and drove straight to Pallens and I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting. Finally she comes out and I asked what's going on and she tells me that the young mechanic just ran out to the parking lot and pulled her car into the garage and changed the sensor. She paid the bill and we leave, driving home on broadway my wife calls me and and says that the check engine light and tire pressure light is still on. I told her to turn around and go back. She's told that Steven will get the sensor from the Ford dealership and she asked about the tire pressure sensor and was told she has to make an appointment even though they stock those sensors. This proved to me that Steven was peeing on my foot and trying to tell me that it's raining. You cannot believe anything Steven tells you. When a man's words ring empty (Stay away) I've had repair bills of $2000 sometimes more and I never complained about any one of them but when you show me that patronizing, your business means nothing that I take my money and spend it elsewhere. Thank you Stephen you save me some money you can blow smoke up somebody else else's you'll never do it to me again.

The guy at the desk says (with a girly attitude)-- "I can't give you any promises but we can take a look" but I know that meant bring it in so he could overcharge me for doing little to nothing . It was a simple request and you should know enough to be able to give me a range of how much something like that would cost instead of trying to find a way to finesse as much money out of the situation as you could.He had an attitude as if it was a problem that I was trying to spend money with them. So I took my tire and left. A friend also told me this place is terrible and will try to overcharge you for everything . I don't recommend coming here and the men that work here should try being less sassy. I took my tire down the street to the shop on 14th street and they checked it for free, then gave me a price upfront for how much repair would be . Straight and forward like men.
