In our case, I am a local, I went with my 5 year old grandson and my 81 year old friend. I had a chose of not going in or paying "VIP" PRICING -- $82 per ticket, no local discount, no age discount. What do you get? Shorter line to get in -- for a moment -- then you merge with everyone else. You wait on same lines for slides, ice cream, etc. The quality of that ice cream is average, the soft serve is below average, the topping cheap. I had expected - and I read a lot of about it -- a fun experience, with good ice cream, and highly engaged staff. The staff was fine, however, they were more like crowd watchers than engaged staff. They fooled me once, and they will never fool me again. However, AREA 15 is well worth it in so many other ways.

I finally went to Guest Services and genuinely asked, "What am I missing?" Their response was basically, "Nothing. It's subjective, and you get what you need out of it." Well, I guess I needed nothing. I know plenty of people absolutely love Meow Wolf, and clearly it's an experience that resonates with some people. Unfortunately, none of the six of us were those people. We walked out confused, underwhelmed, and wishing we had spent the money elsewhere.

********HIDDEN GEM****in Centennial *************************…read more The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum is tucked into a ritzy part of Centennial just a couple minute ride near Centennial Center with the Trader Joe's and Total Wine and all those restaurants. Right here in Centennial is this major Art Museum with all kinds of Mixed Media. It's a lot of modern art, bronze works, and more. There is a lot to see. Even the doors are works of art by the late artist Rita Deanin Abby. It's very hard to believe that one artist did so many works. My photos are only a small amount of what there is to see and there are also several larger than life sculptors outside to see too. I was very surprised on the extra nice hospitality of the people working there. As soon as we entered we were greeted and were told a short story about the artist. We walked around a while and saw all the indoor works displayed. I heard that these aren't even all the artist's works and they rotate some of the pieces. Our first trip here was on Ruth's Birthday Week with free admission and someone there generously gave us a poster of one of the artist's works. It's normally $20. admission but first Saturday of the month is free admission with free tickets that you can get on-line.

As we entered, we were greeted warmly by the employee and checked in per our reservation (also highly recommended). After a quick safety video, we embarked on our 7 different installation journey. We absolutely loved how unique each room was! The level of immersion kept catching us by surprise. As we traversed and thought a specific installation was our favorite, we quickly had to change up our minds until deciding every installation was equally unique and in a level of its own. The worker(s) throughout the Museum were all so helpful, positive and caring. Definitely helped bring the whole experience together. This one is going on my must visit list for when in Vegas. Especially during the seasonal adjustments to the art!
