I…read morewas told Alex, the owner of Cheapest Tree Work, Wichita KS would be at my house in 45 minutes. After two hours I called and was told I 'probably shouldn't count on him today'. I requested I be contacted in the morning to confirm he would be there the next day, I was not. I called and was told he would be out later in the day. At 5 o'clock on the second day an employee with minimal experience showed up. He gave me his opinion, I told him I would let the office know the next day what I had decided, and that I was unhappy that Alex didn't bother to show. Unannounced on the third day Alex came to my house. I told him I'd already signed a contract with another company, that I didn't require his service. He asked if I was having it cut down, I said no. He said 'you're wasting your money', as he glanced at my tree. I said I don't require your services, thank you. You can go. He said, "you asked for my opinion and I'm gonna give it to you!" I told him he didn't bother to show or call for the first appointment, he didn't show for the second appointment, I'm not using his company. Instead of an apology, he said 'This is your fault because you were impatient. You wanted to see me, I'm gonna tell you what you need to do!' I told him to get off my property, he refused to leave immediately, telling me I was wasting my money. I had to tell him a second time to get off my property, he yelled at me all the way to his truck. I have NEVER had an experience like that.

We have had Custom Lawn Service spray our trees for bagworms for several years. A couple of years…read moreago their manager explained that they were having trouble reaching the top of the trees, so this became a concern that I wanted to pay attention to. We made arrangements for them to spray June 26th 2023 at 10 a.m., because we had other commitments earlier in the day. The sprayer showed up at 9 a.m. and explained that we were his last stop and he proceeded anyway. I asked him to pay additional attention to the tops of the trees while he was spraying, and he replied "You're not going to tell me how to spray. Find someone else to spray your trees", and then he drove off. The summary is that Custom Lawn Service is going to do things their way, and not pay attention to the customer's wishes or requests. They'll show up when they want to, not when you want them to, and they will be insulted if you ask them to do something. Stay away from these people if you have any idea at all that they are supposed to be working for you, and not the other way around.
