Well, later I learned that it has at least three, and two of them are City Market stores, and you're on your own as to which one is better. I can only say that this was a pretty straightforward grocery store, with everything you'd expect. We were looking for food for the next day, and were limited to a mini fridge and microwave in our hotel room, so we perused many an aisle for ideas. Being sapped from the sun, we probably spent more time here than necessary before settling on fried chicken, a salad, and some wraps. It's not my daily store so I can't give you the nuanced in and outs, but it's a grocery store full of groceries plain as can be, and that's all I needed it to be.

I take the vitamins, use the lip balms, hair brushes, socks, purchase my elderberry zinc lozenges - which I basically pop like candy during these times, girls gotta keep that immune system thriving! vegan cookies, candies, tea - I mean I can go on and on. This store has everything I adore. They really have a ton of great items you'd need for all aspects of your healthy living life and extremely high standards for every product sold here. While, sure you may not be able to get every last item you need here that's zero issue for me. I'm used to frequenting at least two separate stores (Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Ralphs -which I've now learned is City Market here) at home for different items. I'd give you the hottest tip on the Western Slope but I don't want everyone flooding the store for her ;) cough cough Jessica - greatest girl around. Great customer service from everyone I've ever encountered! Fantastic products, I can see why the health conscious peeps of all surrounding areas drive into town for this store. It's the best of the best. You can stop off on the drive to Telluride if you need to stock up on yummy goodies for your trip. I plan on being a customer each and every time I'm in town and highly recommend.

Thought I'd hop on here to give these guys a quick shout out. I hope you don't find yourselves in a similar position, but it's bound to happen from time to time. If you're in Montrose and are in need of a tire patching, Big O Tires will come up clutch.

It was late afternoon, we had miles to go and we didn't want to spend the night in Montrose in order to fit into some shop's schedule. Schwab came up on Google's list and I called it first, because some time ago the Schwab shop in Juneau, Alaska had fixed--without charge or complaint--a problem that they did not cause. I called and they said they could get on it right away. We arrived and 20 minutes later, the car was ready to go. When I pulled out my credit card, the tech waved it away: Complimentary road service, I was told. The chances that I will be in Montrose again with a tire problem in my lifetime are non-existent, but somewhere in the country I'll have another tire issue and if Schwab is in the neighborhood--they'll get my business.
