I'm giving a 3 only because my salesperson was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately I will rate their businesses practices a 1 because of their credit policy. I went to buy a tv using their credit card. The tv I wanted to buy was $599. I placed the order using their credit initially because I thought the purchase qualified for zero interest financing. It didn't. I did buy it anyway. After agreeing to use the credit to buy the tv. I was told I had to pay $100 processing paperwork fee to use the credit card. Wow I've never had to pay a processing fee to use a credit card and $100.00 no! After doing the math financing a $600 tv for 24 months would have cost me $1056!!! No thanks. $400 extra dollars I can buy another cheaper Tv. Anyways I found the tv cheaper on Dell.com 491.00 and they gave me zero precent to pay it off in a year. I'm going to pay this tv off in 6 months. This place is sort of like loan sharks. Buyer beware do your homework if you plan to finance. I also saw the tv I wanted cheaper on Amazon. read more

Terrible customer service. Ladies in cs are rude, talk over you, hang up on you and actually provide no service. Best advice is to ask for a manager from the start because those girls answering the customer service phones are just plain rude and they hate their jobs. You can tell by how insensitive they are and no urgency to do their job. Not sure how they are still in business when people can just go to best buy or target and get the same thing for the same price or cheaper and receive 100x better customer service. I bought a refrigerator last week. They were out of stock on it. Said they could deliver it today between 130 and 430. At 11 a.m., I get a text from Conns offering free delivery on online orders over 999.00. I called the store to see if they would honor the free delivery. He tells me I need to call the store. Call the number he gave me, and they tell me I need to call the store I purchased at. So I call the first number back and asked to speak to a manager. I was told he was out and wouldn't be in until next week. I told him and told him about the text I got. He said he couldn't wave the delivery fee, so I told him to cancel the order. He said let me make some phone calls and he would call me back. 10 minutes later he calls back to tell me he can't wave it because I bought it in the store, not online. I said then cancel the order and I'll order it online. He then tells me that refrigerator is 200.00 more online. Like wtf I thought brick and morter store were higher because of overhead. Guess not he said they mark up the online prices so they can offer free delivery. WOW, really think I'm being coned by Conns. So we agree to cancel the order. At 340 I get a automated call stating the delivery will be here in 30 minutes [ hence when I confirmed the delivery yesterday, I requested a 1 hour call before delivery call] I call the corporate number and spoke with a hevey middle Eastern acent that claimed to be Bob. I went through the whole story with Bob, and his reply was You do not worry, Mister David, I will cancel the order. I said I was told that was done 4 hours ago on the phone e with the store. No worries, I will take care of you, Mr. David. After being on hold for a few minutes, he came back to tell me it's all taken care of. 435, the driver shows up trying to deliver the refrigerator. How many times can they drop the ball? Service your customer or someone else will. read more

They are very unprofessional to boot, laughing over the phone when you call to inquire about repairs & upset that I had to throw all my food away due to fridge being defective & breaking. The associate who presented herself as a manager named Jackie was utterly useless & did not even pretend to desire to offer me any solution. Conveniently, if you don't spend extra money with them at purchase, your appliance is only covered for 1 year. Same with the manufacturer. Conn's Home Plus is a predatory lending and their lending policies have become utterly abusive during Covid-19. All businesses has suffered but Conn's have become vicious in the lending practices. We have had 5 different accounts with Conn's where everything worked out fine. Even when we have had problems in the past with late payments and having to catch up with payments it has all worked out and our accounts were settled and paid in full with no issues. But since Covid-19 they have began using various predatory practices. Negative Amortization has been the main culprit. We purchase 2249.00 worth of furniture at an interest rate of 32% on 4/18/18. Today we still owe 2049.00 dollars as of our supposed payment in July. There is no way they are getting another cent from us. We paid the contract in full. They negatively applied amortization when we were late or missed a payment and did not apply multiple payments that were made to catch up our accounts. First of all, to anyone going through hard times financially, don't get disparate. Enter into a legit debt counseling program. Live within your means. And regroup, living according to what you bring in. But do not shop at places like Conn's who now have turned to conning their customers. It is sad that a great relationship has ended up terrible. If you need credit, pay your bills on time and live within your means so that you can obtain good credit options, but do not shop at Conn's. read more

Do not shop Conn's Home Plus. They sold me a defective dishwasher and gave me the runaround for 2 weeks to deliver it. Finally delivered on 12/30. Then they no showed on the 2nd to install it. And when the installer finally came on the 8th, he said it was missing so many parts it could not work. When I called customer service, they said I exceeded the 3 day return policy and they won't take it back. When I bought it they were supposed to deliver it on 12/22 and install it on 12/27. The store manager said if it didn't work on installation I'd have three days to return it. Not 3 days from the time they dropped it off. Their own installer could not make it work. SCAMMERS & LIARS. He welcomed us with his hand out and was very approachable. They had lots of different products but not exactly what we came for. Their products are always damaged or become defective very quick and they refuse to fix any of it. Bought a washer and dryer and the delivery guys damaged it during delivery, Conn's refused to make it right. We then bought a couch from them, all the seams pulled out and again Conn's refuses to fix it. Terrible customer service, terrible products that fall apart are damaged. Do not buy from Conns! My parents recently bought a Washer & Dryer here so I figured it can't be that bad despite that my usual Sunday perusal of their fliers tell me they usually don't have the best deals in town. However, they do seem to have decent prices on Washers & Dryers. My parents got a nice set at a good deal! So we go to get me a new washing machine (my clothes are getting funky being that I've been without one for almost 2 months!) As we walk in it felt like a car dealership. Employees lined up to help you, regardless if you want it or not. Cause they care about you? no, cause they work on commission! The store has much less selection than Best Buy, and of course the the advertised special was not in stock. Go figure! But It will be available for me to pick up this week... and it was a decent deal... so Conn's is not off my list completely, yet! read more

As you can see by the other reviews, this is a very crooked company. We have dealt with them many times in the past because we move a lot and need new furniture depending on the space of living and the amount of rooms. We are very good when it comes to paying things off on time (all purchases made here were paid off in the matter of months, never longer than 9. Totaling over twelve thousands) So it makes no sense to me why the company turned us down; it is based on a computer's decision, giving the associates no leeway to override the system. With us paying off everything on time, the only reason I could think of them turning us down is the fact that we paid off everything before the interest was put on, causing the company to lose the interest profit. Bought an 82 inch Samsung TV and the remote control stopped working shortly after purchase. I have literally been stood up for two separate service calls and so I set up a THIRD service call and asked to speak with a manager with good reason. I was denied access to a manager and then was told well no big deal if they stand me up again just call back.... REALLY? SO JUST KEEP CALLING BACK AMD WAITING ON HOLD FOR 45 MINS EACH TIME TO JUST BE STOOD UP AGAIN??? If you need electronics go somewhere else. Conn's does not stand care about the buyer. We are an inconvenience to them. One they get your money they are done with you no matter what the issue. read more

If you buy anything from Conn's and have it delivered, makes sure everything is in working order, make sure recliners close, washer and dryer work (full cycle) Fridge, etc. cause if there is any repair needed due to the delivery of the items it will take well over 90 days. We bought $10,000 worth of appliances and furniture and our recliner won't close and stay closed properly and it has been broken now since Nov 2020 when we bought it. Once it is out of their store you are on your own - I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM CONN'S ever. So disappointed, sure the folks answer the phone and are kind, but our furniture is still never worked properly. Got some new cell phones for my kids at Best Buy. One of the numbers was apparently used in the past, and we have had ten calls in one day from Conns collections department for the past week. Sometimes the calls were all at one time, one right after the other. I told them we are not associated with Conns, we have never purchased from Conns, nor have we ever been into a store, we just activated this phone number, so please remove us from the call list. WE ARE GETTING TWENTY CALLS NOW. Thank God we are within the return policy for the phones, and will return the line to deactivate, and replace with another number. I am upgrading this review to a 5. It was lower after I had a defective fridge delivered, but the turnaround on replacing it was excellent. In particular, Arif was my salesman and was extremely helpful, also instrumental in getting the replacement. I recommend him to anyone who visits this location. Frank at the warehouse was also very helpful. Mr. Gomez (I forget his first name) was the guy who came to check the fridge to see if it was something that had to be returned, and he was very knowledgable and polite. It took only 2 days to replace the defective fridge (which was Samsung's fault, not Conn's), and I think that's pretty good. read more

He took the time to explain the quality and cost. I was able to purchase what I was looking for and the merchandise was delivered as promised. Purchased washer and dryer last Sunday and the night before delivery (delivery they confirmed this morning) the dryer is no longer in stock???? First and last time you will get my business! To fix it the service center said to call the store. The store told us to call the service center. What is wrong with your inventory system? We purchase an item, committed to a delivery date and time. We held up the end of our bargain...what about you? As soon as you have our money (paid in full) you just don't care about the service level anymore? Gave you an opportunity to make it right and still waiting for a phone call. I had a delivery yesterday (loveseat and recliner). The men making the delivery barely spoke English; the loveseat and recliner were very hard to get to the 2nd story and some marks from the railing was transferred to the fabric. I told the delivery men and they insisted it was water. So today (after the water would be dry) the marks are still there. Of course Conns won't accept responsibility because I would have had to refuse delivery. The consumer is always going to get the shaft. I learned a lesson today! read more

I have tried Twice over the past 2 weeks to purchase a Refrigerator from this Conn's Store. The first time they refused to "Price Match" an advertised price from a nearby Home Improvement Store. They did have a product that had just gone off sale that they said they would sell at the "sale" price but they could not guarantee delivery . The second time, I went in with copies of all the Labor Day Sales from two Home Improvement Stores, another store that indicates "Best" pricing, and a well know Electronics store. ALL of these showed better Labor Day pricing than Conn's. I talked with one of the Store Manager's and they STILL refused to price match. My suggestion is that you buy your Appliances elsewhere as this store ( and likely other Conn's stores) DO NOT HONOR their own price match policy!!!!!!!!! If I could leave zero stars I would. I purchased 2 TV's and a LG refrigerator in March of 2017. This was my first time shopping at Conn's. My refrigerator is under warranty until March 2020. Almost 4 weeks ago it stopped working completely. It was a Sunday so I called in the repair. I was told someone would call me to schedule an appt. A tech came out and determined that the compressor was out on a Wed. They called to let me know that the part was in on Friday but could not get out to install it until the following Wednesday. The tech did arrive on Wed and installed the new compressor. But he informed me that they had sent him to do the repair with an empty tank of freon. I requested that he come back early the next morning to complete the work. He showed up at almost 5:00 pm and filled whatever he needed and told us to give it 4 hrs to begin working. I started texting and calling for the next two days with no response to let him know that it never started working. I then had to call back in and put in another service request. The new tech came and said that the compressor was faulty and they would have to order a new one. I have spoken with unprofessional managers in the corporate office and have gotten no where. In two days it will be 4 weeks that we have been without a refrigerator with no insight on when it will be fixed. My one and only time buying from Conn's. We found the best deal there vs lowes, sears, etc (I wish I would have just paid more and went to one of the other stores). My refrigerator is so loud now that it rumbles. The dishwasher won't even turn on. I have run this washer less than 10 times. The technicians can never fix in one trip. It does not even appear that they fix anything. They stand around and stare. Maybe remove a panel and stare some more. Then they want you to pay for new parts. It is simply ridiculous and a scam. DON'T buy from this store!!!! The service was great up until the moment I called to tell them one of the 2 TVs I bought wasn't working. I offered to go to the warehouse and pick up another but the salesman, Victor, said he'd call around and find one at another store. An hour later I call him back to see what he found. He said his manager, Justin, was calling around because he got a customer. 30 Minutes later I called Justin and he said they called one store. I told him I'd already called four and none had any. He said he'd call me right back. An hour later I called again and talked to Victor who said Justin was in an interview. I went back to the store and Justin was walking around having a good time joking with employees. I gave them the TV, got a pick up ticket for their warehouse like I asked for 4-5 hours earlier. Then when I get to the warehouse I ask for it to be plugged in to check it. "Oh we can't do that". I get a salesman slacking off but I expect much more from a manager. Just pathetic customer service. Oh I forgot to mention that when I was buying originally both Victor & Justin were all over me to give them a great evaluation when I get the survey later next week. DO NOT BUY here deceptive trade practices. Purchased 1 computer suggested my daughter may want one also. Salesperson said we will write order for 2 if she doesn't want it let me know and we will take it off. I took possession of 1 computer charges for two. Tried to get other computer taken off account said they can take it off but monthly payment will be the same as it was for two and they can't change it despite signing a new contract for the one computer only. Said I would return computer then. Told if I did that it would be considered a voluntary repossession and I would still owe the balance. Poor customer service for resolution of issues. UPDATE: So Conn's has redeemed themselves in my opinion from one to three stars, I finally heard from a manager and my issue has been resolved, the district manager and the repair manager were courteous and professional...a far cry from the others I have dealt with previously.. I will add that I feel that if the original installers had done it correctly we would not have had to go through any of this grief or at best if I had been assisted the first day by my salesman that it would have gone much smoother without incident. i am planning on buying a sectional from them next, so stay tuned!
