HIDDEN FEES! DISHONEST SALESMEN!!! FAKE DISCOUNTS!!! I purchased a sectional sofa set from this store. I looked at their merchandise and went to Rooms To Go in Murfreesboro to shop as well. While I was at Rooms To Go, the Conns salesman (I think it was Devin) called me to say their regional manager had approved the ottoman at a discount for me. He said I was getting the ottoman for 'basically free' because they were charging me only $50 for the ottoman. It was a LIE. They took only $50 off the ottomans price but didnt let me know. Instead they lied that it was costing only $50 and 'basically free'. If they really presented it as costing $449, they could not have used the phrase 'basically free'. They also would not tell you they would charge exorbitant 'insurance fees' if you finance with them. After the sale they said the itemizes receipt showing the total balance was not available in store and would only be sent by mail. I had to call Conns customer care for the itemized balance only to see an insurance fee of over $400 plus the supposedly 'basically free' ottoman that actually cost $449. Devin told me the delivery was free. I just discovered I was charged $199 for delivery! Conns salesman use underhanded sales tactics like they're used car salesmen. They subcontract the delivery service through a computer system in North Carolina and can't have dates and times. Our complex allows for delivering up to 4:30 and these people either don't show or arrive at 5. Then they say we have to arrange for another day delivery. Purchased a table for $829.99 plus tax. Sales man was so eager to sell. I did the 90 day same as cash option where they are supposed to check your bank account to approve. Long story short, my total is now $976.00 plus the $20 fee l paid before leaving the store. I purchased furniture from this company. There was a deal going on if you pay in 12 months there was no interest. I doubled my payments and had it automatically coming out of my checking account. The last payment was supposed to be in July. I just happened to check my credit and it said I owed them almost $3,000! I called and they said the last payment didn't go through, which was impossible because I had more than enough to cover it in my account. They then said with the last payment being missed I was charged interest. $3,000 worth. Asked to file a complaint and was told I didn't need to speak with a manager they would take care of it. Fraud! Their name says it all. I purchased a red chaise a grey couch and ottoman a microwave and dishwasher a $1600 dishwasher at that! So upset. When they delivered the chaise it was damaged leaning to the side, their response not to replace it but to use the warranty and fix it, this is a new piece they brought to me damaged and I can only use the warranty . So now I have a chaise that's still leaning but they did fix it go figure. Ottoman ripped at seems 3 months after having it, they replaced it through warranty. Ripped again 1 month after that, their now trying to fix it, said they sent parts to my home but I didn't receive them I thought I had them since I had 2 bags but they were the microwave parts. Also the couch is peeling in the creases only 1 year after having it. They sent someone out and said they don't cover that but they told me when purchasing they cover anything! Hmmm. Now to the dishwasher there was a center piece that broke because the plate was not attaching to it. They had to fix that, it takes them so long to fix stuff at least 2 different appointments meaning money lost for me cause I have to take off work. They just left fixing microwave and dishwasher, they said I need to rinse my dishes. Well what it's a $1600 dishwasher are u kidding me. It mildewed all my dishes. I keep telling them it's not drying or cleaning my dishes, they keep saying it's working. I also told the technition and supervisor that came to my house, I shouldn't have to rinse any dishes by hand and the tech said the sales ppl will tell you anything to buy it. The thing is I did my research I clean houses and the better arms and sprayers on dishwashers get stuff clean without rinsing. They said they turned up the heat it's good to go. I waited till cycle was over and I rinsed my dishes also and it's still not working. I called them back to see if they would exchange my item, they said no Only Volunteer repossession or return 30 days after purchase. Wow that's a way to treat your customers. Are you kidding me! They have me locked in on payment now and I can't do anything to fix their crappy service. They don't even deserve one Star it's 0 for me. I will never use them and I will warn others about them their def cons! Buyer Beware! Update! They didn't fix my dishwasher! Just turned up the heat, now all my dishes are ruined one by one load, I'm thinking instead of keep having them come out to do nothing I mean this is the 3rd time and my dishwasher don't wash or dry just gets mildew and white hard all over, that can't be washed off. There's lemon laws on cars I wonder if it's on home appliances too. I now have to replace all my expensive dishes cause a $1600 dishwasher destroys them. I asked them to trade it out for a cheaper one and I will still pay the same price I just want to be able to put my dirty dishes in and forget, what's the point of a dishwasher if you have to wash them first and even after washing they still come out gross! I will never buy from this facility again. We have made three purchases from Conn's over the years. A bedroom set, living room set and now a refrigerator and stove. When we had the living room set and it was defective we had a terrible time getting them to send someone out to fix the recliner portion, needless to say it was never corrected and we still have problems today. I do not know why I did not learn my lesson from that, in November 21 we tried them again and purchased a refrigerator and stove for 4806 with taxes. We were told in the store located in Antioch TN that if we paid it in a year we would not be hit with any finance charges. Here we are at month 5 and paid it off and now Conn's is advising that we owe another $711 before we can close this matter down. When we attempted to speak to the manager in credit and collections for them to correct the matter, the manager clearly did not read the book on excellent customer service. First he get on the phone as if he was not told the story by his worker and then his arguing back and forth only made it worse. I was so infuriated that I demanded to speak to his boss, and his only response was "I can have him call you but he will not say anything different to you, and you need to read your contract". I responded that he should do just that, call me and tell me the same thing. Well I say this is bull crap, we pay a hefty price tag and I feel that they are still screwing us over for additional monies. I will never buy from them again, and if you are reading this post, learn from my mistake. Do you homework, Make sure you are not being lied to. My husband and I went in to see their adjustable beds. I was confused with the pricing that they have laid out on the mattresses, but Tessa at the Antioch store explained it for us. She was very professional and helped us tremendously. We picked out the frame and mattress that we wanted and she quickly took care of the paper work and delivery for us. They were to deliver the bed the next day between 2:30 and 6:00 and the truck pulled up at exactly 3:00 pm. The delivery guys were fast, efficient and friendly in getting the base and bed set up. I did not give a five star review as I think their prices are a little high, but the total experience was very professional and I would go there to buy again. read more

After passing the store many times I decided to drop in and see what they had. I ended up purchasing a new stove and was to be delivered that Saturday. This was in early Nov....received a call they were out of stock and wouldn't be in until Dec 4th and they would deliver the 5th. No problem. I received an email and call that they would be there between 2:30-5;30. I held off on doing things so I would not miss them. 530 called store they checked and would be 6:00....6:00 called again 45 mins away.....yep still not there...called and told them to keep the stove I would be in tomorrow to get my money back. Like most I work Monday thru Friday and enjoy my weekends but I spent all day waiting on delivery and was not happy. They called back after I said to keep the stove and offered to refund my delivery charge and were very apologetic and that they could be there in 15 mins. I excepted and had they were there in 15 mins and were the fastest, nicest and most helpful delivery guys. They were still doing their deliveries at 730 and still had one more to go. You could tell they were trying hard to get things done but still took the time to do the install right. I felt bad for them and treated them with the respect they deserved. Conns, conns conns..shameful. This will be our third and final purchase from this establishment. How on earth a company with such poor customer service is in business still blows my mind. Thank you for just robbing me of nearly $7000. The third saga goes like this... We arrive about an hour and a half before closing time last sunday just to browse, and end up falling in love with a sectional couch. We decide to go ahead and order it, especially since I could pick my delivery day and time..well, almost. I got a call around 8:50 Tuesday night telling me my delivery time of 5:15-8:15pm. I don't know who on earth wants a dark gray sectional delivered at dusk/night time, let alone in the rain, and furthermore during a time when everybody is trying to rush home, but I digress..I call the # back just to see if it would even be a possibility that we could shift our time to an earlier part of the day, as we had taken off work assuming that we got to select our delivery window, and had already gotten all of our living room furniture removed to help the drivers out. Additionally, we live 2 minutes from the store which is also quite close to the warehouse so we didn't see why that would've been an issue. I get answered by Denise, who repeatedly calls me 'hon' in that just ever so pleasant demeaning tone, and she tells me that I am 'not the only customer' and too bad so sad for you. As someone who has always worked in customer service, if I had said this to a customer, I would have been fired if not at least written up for such poor attitude. I don't give a crap that I'm not your only customer-customer service philosophy lesson: EVERY CUSTOMER IS THE ONLY CUSTOMER UNTIL THEY ARE HAPPY AND EVEN THEN YOU FOLLOW UP TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE STILL HAPPY. I speak to Reggie at the store, who is friendly but I don't know where his head is at. He tells me he will see the truck in the morning and will see what he can't work out for me, so I trust that he being a manager over there will get it done. I call in at noon, as I haven't heard back and lo and behold look who hasn't come in to work yet. Amazing follow up. Not. He tells me he's going to call and see if they can't get it expedited and we will hear back from him. Nobody calls. Nothing. Around 5pm the truck tracker feature on the website shows the truck all the way out in Ashland city, with an arrival time of 5:37 pm. The site did not update after that with an ETA, and the truck did not arrive until after 7pm. My fiancé had to go outside and find the truck which was in another apartment complex, and show them where to go. Nobody even called to let me know the truck was close or that they were lost. In fact he went out there after seeing the truck was sitting in the other complex for over 15 minutes. The drivers were very nice however when they put all of our pieces together, I commented that this sofa was much bigger than I recall, and I did have floor dimensions for space that would have left about 3-4 feet of walking space for us, but this was completely blocking the dining room and living room, as well as the entry way. But they just left and said thank you. The door shut and I was just like 'you have got to be kidding me'. Our living room seriously looks like a VIP lounge. It is humungous. SO, I call the store and get Reggie again who tells me he's been too busy to call me (again A+ on the customer service y'all!) and he says I need to call the warehouse immediately and I quote "like literally right now" so they can have the drivers come and at least pick up the chaise lounge which was blocking everything. So I call and guess who I get..the lovely Denise again. She tells me someone in the call center would need to get called and I stop her, saying Reggie told me to call you..SO she says she will call the store immediately and get us taken care of and we will get called back ASAP. That was at 8pm last night and nobody has called us. At this point, I expect compensation and a sincere apology. The website states that the Manhattan can be financed for $64 a month and for whatever reason I'm paying twice that. We are going to have to store the chaise in a garage so we can at least use our room. Now, every single one of these minor hiccups could've been miniscule, had I not been ignored, pushed off, talked down to, lied to, etc. If I treated customers this way, I would be unemployed. All I'll say is this in conclusion...there's an IKEA coming right next door and I am sure they would be happy to have business and will do it with a smile. read more

I don't know where to start, the showroom is really nice and the selection is great having brands like Bose and Apple along with many other quality names. My salesman was awesome and he is why I wanted to buy at Conns. Here's the problems at Conns, I was pre approved for 7k, my credit is good and they told me I had a 0% option for 12 months and that was great! So I'm shopping and found what I wanted to bring home. We start doing paperwork which is painful, remember that I was already pre approved going in to the store. The manager is clueless and calls me over to go over the particulars. Evidently you have to have an item that is $999.00 and up to get the 12 months no interest deal even though my purchase was $1500, it didn't qualify. Then I see an apple laptop, $1400.00, again that was not eligible even though it was over $999.00, it was clearance marked down and because they took $24.00 off retail it doesn't apply to clearance. So now we're at 19.99%. Ok, I get through that, now 4 months later I get a notice from Conns there was an error in my contract and now it's 33%....WTF!! I called the home office and got no where, they couldn't even explain why! Now, if I was credit challenged, I get it but a 700 credit score doesn't warrant a rate of 33% so now my atty is calling to get to the bottom of this issue. The employees were stating that they were on 4-6 months working there and the company is still not paying them commission which they were told it would be one month of training then they would be on commission. I run a sales team of commission salemen and women and this is a huge problem. Most of the staff was quitting when I went in to pay my bill, they were very upset and vocal about how they were getting screwed. So be very cautious of Conns, the name is Conns for a reason and my acct will be paid off in the next two months because it's gonna be a cold day in hell before I ever pay anyone 33% interest! read more

Was probably the easiest and worry free installation and delivery situation I've dealt with in my home yet. Bought a very nice Samsung washer and dryer and had it delivered the next day. Tim and Tim were the installation techs/ Delivery men took away the old washer and dryer with ease and swapped it out in probably under 30 mins both men were extremely polite and respectful. Would recommend them if your in need of a washer or dryer! read more
