I went to Connolly for the first time simply for an annual skin check. In the past, having been to several other dermatology offices, annual skin checks are covered by insurance and I have never been charged for each spot that was shot with liquid nitrogen. Well, that's not the case at Connolly! You will be charged for every spot that they "zap" as well as an office visit, instead of a "skin check". Won't be returning! read more

I've been a patient there for over 20 years. I had a biopsy for a rash that they had not reviewed after a week and then they told me to monitor, no treatment needed. I got a second opinion who ordered bloodwork and turns out I have an autoimmune disease. Very disappointed and do not recommend. read more

Trying to get my medical records and the fees are outrageous. $1 per page + a $10 admin fee. No fax, email options. These fees are capped by NJ statute and they've maxed out what they can charge patients. They also use misleading language in the request form, stating that these costs are per NJ statute vs. these costs are the maximum allowable under the law. It'd be more honest if the form read: "we legally can't charge any more for this." read more

I was seen by ELIZABETH BELK MSN, ACNPC-AG last year. She told me I had spots on my face and prescribed me a medicine. She rushed me out of there and gave me no information. Luckily I went and got a second opinion because the medicine she prescribed me had nothing to do with the spots on my face. I do not recommend her. I'm not sure about the facility, but I would not see her. If I could give her no stars I would, but that wasn't possible. read more

I was in this afternoon for my 2:30 PM appointment only to find out you do not take my insurance. I went over this with you on the phone. I was told you take my insurance. Not only did you waste my time filling out your forms, my time coming there, but most importantly my time to be seen by a dermatologist. I have been in pain for some time now with pimples or cysts. I might have an infection. Now I will have to find another dermatologist and wait for that appointment. This was unnecessary and incompetent by your staff. I saw Chris Marsh, a physician assistant in the practice, last Wednesday for hair loss and had blood work done. He stressed that I should call him the next day to hear his analysis of the results. Despite my calling there 3 days since then, he never gets back to me. I would stay away from this practice. It's unprofessional and apparently this PA either doesn't know what he's doing or else is too irresponsible to call his patients back. read more

I had an appointment with Agata Draper for botox and I am very pleased with the outcome. The atmosphere in the office was very friendly and relaxing and I was comfortable explaining my problem areas. I have very deep wrinkles above my eyes and have not had as much success in smoothing them out as I did after this treatment with Agata. Please check your billing statements from this practice! I was told chemical peels are covered by my insurance, the day of my peel I paid my copay and figured everything was okay. I was sent a $397 bill from the practice, after my insurance paid them, yes I hadn't hit my deductible. However they charged my insurance $700 for my visit, for a $99 procedure, after I even paid my copay... After my insurance paid them, they were still okay with me paying the additional $397... I called the practice to ask why this bill was sent to me, went line item after line item, they put me on hold and came back with, "we're so sorry the procedure code was put incorrectly, you don't owe a balance". If I hadn't checked, they conveniently profited 8x the procedure cost I went in for. I never put such lengthy reviews. But skincare is very important to me and I would hate for this to happen to someone else. Hope this helps! read more

Dr. Connolly was highly recommended by several people. My experience with his practice has held that stellar recommendation after two visits. Friendly office staff greet you at check in and check out. I haven't waited longer than 10 minutes for my appointment, and less than 5 minutes in the exam room until Dr. Connolly enters the room. The exam is thorough from head to toe.Today he removed a small spot to be sent out for biopsy. It was a fast procedure and only a slight initial pinch. My entire visit with a head to toe body check, and removal of questionable spot was 30 minutes. The office is adequetly decorated with plenty of seating of wood bankers style chairs, TV, commercial carpeting, and wallpaper. It's a bit dated an worn, but adequate. read more

I would not recommend going to Connolly Dermatology to anyone. I've been going back and forth to their office about a horrible skin rash that they kept diagnosing as psoriasis. Each time they'd send me away with no recommendations; just a cream with no direction. I got two biopsies and a blood test- no one ever called me about results. I had to call each time. Skin cancer runs in my family so I was a bit worried about my test results. One nurse told me my results were extremely atypical and the doctor said don't worry about it? I wasted two months of my time and hundreds of dollars waiting for answers about my tests and the rash on my skin... still nothing from them. Needless to say, I went to a different doctor and got diagnosed with the correct condition almost immediately. Unfortunately, this establishment is too large to care about your medical history or current skin conditions. They just wanted to diagnose me with something simple and send me on my way, all while the condition I have has been very serious. Then to have a nurse call and scare me into thinking I had a cancerous spot just for the doctor to play it off? Please don't go here! Plenty of better places to go. I'm still scratching my head over this horrible experience.... from them asking me to pay a hefty bill in the waiting room all the way to the nurse asking if the stitches she out in my back were going to hold or not as if she doubted her ability? Horrible! It's been 4 months since my first visit about this rash break out and I've been asked to pay $300.00+ dollars for care that resulted in a wrong diagnosis. The office claims they've been sending me bills (now I'm in collections). I haven't received anything from them. I have been to several dermatologists over the years and I've never been fully satisfied. That's until I went to Connolly Dermatology in Wall and met with Joe Colletti PA-C and the staff. The front desk was super friendly and very helpful and the medical assistant was polite and informative. I had a bothersome mole on my face and Joe said he was going to take a sample. (came back as basal cell carcinoma) When the spot eventually healed, the mole was gone! It was like magic. I had to undergo a MOHS procedure and it's healed up quite nicely. I will be going back soon to have everything checked out. I would highly recommend the Wall Twp office. read more

I went to the Route 34 office and actually had clean, fast service. However, the office has failed to comply with the NJ law that requires them to be transparent about fees and pricing. I asked 3 times between the front desk and the doctor / assistant and no one could provide even a rough estimate for a simple checkup. They gave me one billing code to look into which checked out but they billed me completely differently and hid their "visit fee" for walking in the door. I normally pay $100 after insurance for other dermatologists to do a checkup and send a sample or two to the lab but this was more than double. The law clearly states that doctors offices have to provide best efforts to provide pricing when the patient asks. To further this, their website has no fee schedule. They clearly make money by gouging insurance companies and hoping no one complains. I have been trying to get a hold of someone in Connolly's dermatologist in the Lynnwood location for days now left multiple messages put on hold for multiple periods of time by an automated system, cannot get through to anyone and no one's returning my phone call. Made a first patient appointment to see a PA in Linwood. I was 10 minutes early to the appointment and after being given another form to fill out, I was instructed to give all forms to technician when I was called, I told to take a seat. 50 minutes after my appointment time, I had not been called nor had any of the staff reached out to tell me the cause of the delay. I let the receptionist know that I had been waiting for over 45 min and her 'I don't know why' decided me that this is not the medical practice I want. The practice shows little regard for my time but I am sure if I was that late they would have made me reschedule. The lack of courtesy in explaining why they were so late, indicates this is a normal operating situation for them. I left the appointment after telling the receptionist how unacceptable this was and also instructing her to make sure my insurance was not billed. Wonder how Dr. Connolly would feel if I sent him a bill for my wasted time? read more

The front desk check-in staff is very rude and one in particular, but no name tag or I would post it! I stepped up to the window after arriving and she sat staring in the corner at her computer as though I wasn't even there. After several minutes I finally cleared my throat to get her attention and when she looked me blankly in the face, she didn't say anything. I spoke up and said I was checking in and she asked my name, then said ok. Nothing else; no "hello", no "good morning", no "you're all set", nothing! She had plenty to say to the girl sitting at the window next to her though. The office is also very outdated and the old war decor is just not something I want to see at the doctor's office! I'm tired of paying doctor's fess and never seeing an actual doctor, only a nurse who keeps me coming back over and over again to get the meds right. Time to find another dermatologist!! read more

Rude office staff. Tells you that you have to pay fees in front of people in waiting room. Said we had to talk to the billing dept. Called Aetna and they said we didn't owe anything. After they found out they were wrong they changed tactics. They said we were "out of the 10 day window"! They gave me the appointment, I didn't ask to wait 2 weeks. You have a better chance of seeing Jesus than Dr Connolly. You pay for a doctor and get a nurse. Connolly not even in the building. Find another doctor. read more

I had a severe skin reaction after knee surgery. I had never been there before but the staff brought me right in and are currently treating the condition. Wait time in the office was only a few minutes and I was seen almost immediately in the exam room. Same experience with my follow up visit. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of my questions. Very pleased with the Linwood office and highly recommend them. read more

This is one of the worst and most unprofessional practices I've ever encountered. Their "Billing line" goes right to a PA's voicemail and not where it should end up. After attempting for a week to reach back out (with multiple voicemails being sent) the lady in billing she seemed like she was intoxicated or something when she finally answered THE FOLLOWING WEEK. She was very lethargic and appeared to forget crucial details of a very important discussion we had not even a week prior. Not to mention during my appointment I was seen by a PA, and not even an actual doctor. I would highly recommend avoiding this place at any cost. Never experienced this at any other dermatologists office or any other doctors office in general. Can tell this is mismanaged from the top down by the billing lady's lethargic unapologetic reply "yeah I know we should get that changed, It happened to someone else recently" When I raised my concerns over the voicemail mishap detailed above. This is some sort of scam operation, imo. I went in for a growth I thought was skin cancer but turned out to be a cyst. The dr. said I could have it removed surgically and I could get an estimate at the front desk. The receptionist spent a lot of time on the computer before handing me a shady handwritten estimate on a post-it note, of all things. I paid for the exam at the front desk. Two weeks later I received a bill in the mail for some anti-aging cream or whatever that I never asked for and never bought. I called and nobody answered. I left a voicemail telling them never to send me a nonsense bill again. The next morning I got a long, convoluted explanation from an employee about a brownout, their computers being down, someone must have billed me accidentally, blah blah blah. Who gets a bill in the mail in the age of credit cards? What business would let anyone walk out the door with product without paying for it? Shady AF. Anyway, I called to cancel my appointment, and this time it was impossible to speak to someone on the phone. You get a mile-long commercial for their products, so I finally hung up. So I went to their website to email them, and they make that difficult as well. Btw, I looked up my type of cyst online and the reco from everywhere was using a hot compress. So I tried that, and the cyst disappeared within a few days. Funny that a dermatologist would not recommend trying that, but would instead recommend surgery and give you a several-hundred-dollar estimate on a post-it note. read more

I went there several times last year. I have a history of melanoma and skin cancers. I agree with one of the reviewers who said you do NOT get attentive service at all. You usually DONT get to see Dr and end up seeing practitioner. The few times I did see Dr Connolly, he did a quick look at parts of my body(not the whole body) and froze off a couple of small areas. When I would tell him I wanted him to look at a few moles I felt on my back, he looked quickly and said we will address them at my next visit. He did this a couple of times and was always in and out very quick. I can guarantee you he would not know me if he stumbled over me! Each time I was there I had to pay a copay. I cant afford to come back for each individual body part to be checked out! He spreads the appts out on purpose!! I told them I cant keep coming every week. I have stopped going to him and I'm still paying on a large bill that my insurance did not cover. I still have several areas on my back that need to be looked at but I will go to someone else. read more

I have/had been a patient for a number of years I was in the Linwood office today I arrived at 11 10 for an 11 20 appoint,appointment I was made to wait for 40 minutes until I was seen Someone who came in after I did was seen first and the front desk explained to me that person had an 11 o'clock appoint yet I was on time and made to wait which is unfair and unacceptable My whole visit w the nurse practitioner took less than 3 minutes I had questions about a medication I was given to on my last visit to try and the nurse practitioner person did not seen willing to answer nor would she take the time to listen or try to understand my question She actually said to me after I repeated my question twice " we are done here " She hardly examined me and it did not appear that she looked at my file when I asked my question . to learn what medication I had the usage questions about I complained to the front desk and spoke to the practice manager and the visit fee ( I am self pay since I lost my job and am working again but have no benefits ) was waived however I am angrier this evening as I have been reviewing today's events due to the unprofessional manner in which I was treated The person who escorted me to the exam room was wearing a soiled dirty looking lab coat jacket which I also found appalling I believe it is time for the Dr to review staff procedures and staffing changes are warranted if said personal do not take stock of their manner, behavior and alter their behavior I must say the front desk and billing staff were very understanding and helpful when I told them of my displeasure at the way I was treated read more

I used to love Connolly Dermatology, however the last two times I went in for an appointment, my experience was very disappointing, so much so that I felt in necessary to write a review. The first time, the doctor rushed through my appointment, barely addressing my concerns, and sent me on my way with no answers. They did a full body scan without looking at the moles that were concerning during the previous visit and told me there was nothing they could do for my acne, not even a recommendation. I made a follow-up visit and requested a different doctor. The same thing happened the very next time. It appeared as though the doctor barely wanted to be in the room and was in a rush to get to the next patient, mind you I had arrived on time to my appointment. I feel as though they take your money, speed through the visit, and leave looking for answers. I have an appointment scheduled for my next full body scan, in the upcoming months, but plan on cancelling it at this point. Very VERY disappointing. read more

I've been to Connolly dermatology multiple times. All the staff that I've encountered there have been very pleasant and nice to deal with. I was seen by Dr. Adair and he's always very respectful and personable. He definitely knows his practice well. He prescribed me a lotion that completely fixed a dry skin issue that I've had on my face for as long as I can remember and could never get it fixed but Dr. Adair was able to diagnose and basically cure the issue. Doctor was HORRIBLE. First time I was ten minutes late they cancelled my appointment second time they brought me in had me undress and made me sit for 45 minutes. I had to go out in the hall and ask to see the doctor. He rushed in did a brief check of my moles. He cut one off leaving a scar. They never called to tell me the results and never asked if I had any questions or concerns. If you want botox go to this doctor but he doesnt care about his patients!!! read more
