I've been going to Kane at about three years ( at least ten visits). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff and Doctors have always been pleasant, courteous and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, I don't recall having to wait longer than fifteen minutes past my designated appointment time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Kane, the Dermatologist, is never in the office to examine her patients.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's impossible to get an appointment with her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can only see one of her two Physician Assistants (P A's).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had an appointment with Jenna, one of her two PA's and she is very nice and competent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She did a biopsy on a mole which turned out to be a pre-cancer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried to get a follow up appointment to have the pre-cancer excised and it is impossible to get a follow up appointment that works with my schedule since her office PA's are so busy and Dr. Kane is nowhere to be found.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bottom line is if you have a skin cancer or pre-cancer good luck getting an appointment that is accommodating with your schedule.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will never go back to this office. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very Poor experience regarding billing and overall mean spirited office staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] An error was made on their part on billing but staff insisted by had a "co-pay". I explained there was a mistake and I didn't owe a copay but foolishly paid it with the request they correct the mistake and pay me back. The staff insisted they rechecked with the insurance company my subsequent inquiry with the insurance company concurred I owed nothing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interestingly, the office has a number of signs posted reminding patients to be respectful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff should be respectful of the patients and avoid deceitfulness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have not paid me back the money owed. Professional and efficient. Office staff friendly. Sometimes the wait to see the doctor is 30-45 minutes but that's heath care!

Dr Kane is very knowledgeable and an A awesome person who truly cares about your care and decision options about skin cancer treatment , and supports you all the way. And the best Dr "bedside"manner you'd want! Trust her completely! read more

She then contacted my rheumatologist for further treatment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Office staff doesn't give a shit about Veterans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm fully insured through the VA and care in the community, confirmed 3 times that Kane received my authorization for care, and they still DEMANDED my credit card. When I showed up for my appointment, I showed them that the contract they have with Optum (VA third party billing company) clearly states that Veterans DO NOT need to provide any payment or form of payment up front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff immediately got super shitty with me, eye rolls, short answers, no eye contact, and we're just genuinely rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I finally got to see Dr. Kane, I found the complete opposite. She was kind, thorough, and informative. Complete opposite from her front line staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon check out, I again got the third degree from the front staff. The woman up front wouldn't make eye contact, literally would not answer my questions (how do I get the surgical consult?) and I walked away feeling so frustrated[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] that the American tax payer is helping pay their salary when they see Veterans, but treat them like shit when they know rules. I know having payment up front is Dr. Kane's policy, but it is not the agreement she made when she took on VA insurance. In the end, the VA contacted me to tell me she dropped me. Real American. Veterans avoid, and patients be advised of how this office treats Veterans. Awful experience. read more

This place is a disgrace. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Called to make appt. They told me there was a cancellation for next day. I went in only to be told that my appt. was canceled[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They said they called me. Fortunately phones record whether or not a phone call was placed. It was not[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No attempt to accommodate me. No apology[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Then the kicker was when they asked if I would like to reschedule. The office reflects the medical care within. Terrible. read more

Made an appt 2 months in advance. A week before I was to go, the office called me to reschedule due to an office glitch, which i did for a week later; 10/ 19. They then called me a few days later to remind me to come in on 10/ 12! I called & to say i could not make it on the 12th, that I was supposed to be the 19th & confirmed it was NOT me who mixed the dates up. I was then told The 10/19 was no longer available & it was either come in on the 12th (which I could not) or wait another 5 weeks! Come on....seriously? read more

When I booked my appt I had to book 3.5 weeks out. When scheduling it made me input my insurance and then gave me options of Drs etc I could see based off my insurance. I also uploaded my insurance card the same day I made my appt. Now, a day before my appt I get a call saying they dont take my insurance (even though I input it and uploaded it) and that it would be a flat rate of $200 plus additional for whatever services I receive. Irritated bc I wish I had been contacted 3 weeks ago when I made this appt as I have been patiently waiting to get an opinion on my skin. read more

I had the best experience with Rosemary!! She was extremely thorough in our consultation, honest, and caring. I couldn't have picked a better facility or person to get my treatment done with. If you want to waste your money, be over charged, and have no real care because they do nothing to enable you to get the medication you need, besides talking in circles, this is the place for you. Also if your medical issue can escalate because of stress this is the place for you as they will stress you out too. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

I am very disappointed in Kane Dermatology as they were recommended. It feels like a factory. I had the red light treatment which turned out fine but after a brief meeting with the PA they had an intern follow through with the rest of the treatment. Dr. Kane "poked" her head in ... barely caught a glimpse of her. My daughter went there because over the telephone, she was told they do Botox, specifically for under arms. When she got there they charged her the $40 co-pay but when the PA came in the room, she was told they don't "do that here". That was the total extent of her visit and now they have billed her over $200 and the co-pay. We have tried and tried to resolve this . Meanwhile, she went to The Derm Group. She paid her co-pay and then was told unfortunately, the Botox had not arrived. They apologized and REFUNDED THE CO-PAY. read more

A few years ago I saw Dr. Kane at another office and was disappointed that she was not there when I returned recently, so I went on a quest to find her and did. Thankfully, she has her own practice and I look forward to her becoming my dermatologist even though I am unable to get an appointment until July. She must have the same reputation with others as she does with me and that's why I'm scheduled pretty far out. She has a wonderful bedside manner and treats you like you're the only patient she has; she is that kind toward you. She is professional as well, and I highly recommend her. read more
