I've been going to psychiatrists for DECADES (I'm old but I don't look a day over 50...and I'm 40) and it's always the same three minute conversations: Do you want to harm yourself? Do you want to harm others? Have you tried Xanax? I can't even begin to tell you how bad off I was. Racing thoughts, anxiety both during the day and crippling into the night, couldn't sleep and majorly depressed. I was seeing someone in Frisco and while she was nice, I felt like I was stuck. I just kept getting prescribed the same thing at higher doses. That wasn't what I wanted. So I tried Dr. Faith here and not only did she spend almost an hour on that first visit with me, she didn't ask the three same questions. She asked questions that NO ONE ever thought to ask. Because of her I'm now treating the ADHD I didn't know I had (no wonder I couldn't focus on anything and kept losing my keys) as well as encouraging me to seek therapy for PTSD. Yes. I have that. I didn't realize how that messed up childhood left me with scars I couldn't see, but only felt. While I can't say I'm fully cured or anything I just wanted you all to know that both Dr.Faith and Dr. Ahmed are real professionals who care.
