They are kind and compassionate and truly care about their patients. That is the difference between them and other practices. I have a physician for life who I can call and he will see me without an appointment. Plus, Dr. John is a leading practitioner in his field, highly educated, and has a particular skill of identifying what is wrong and the best way to treat it. Their dedicated shows every single time I go there. I read another review where someone was complaining about having to pay for more than a physical. Every doctor charges for their services as they too run a business Dr. John's fees are not only reasonable, but they submit the insurance claims for you! Just the most polite staff and they all are bilingual too! If you are looking for a top notch doctor that cares about you and you can trust your health to, I can't think of any other place to go. What a contrast to so many other practices where you feel like a cattle being rushed in and out for a quick buck and are just a number. I myself don't shop for a doctor like I would shop for a commodity. I chose a doctor because they are the best in the field. I did not need any treatment…read more When I talked to the center I gave them insurance information they were supposed to check if my visit would be covered. When I got to center I asked if I would owe anything and the person at the desk said only $45 for the office visit. Today I got a bill for $222. I asked billing why and they said $45 for the office visit and the difference was my co-pay that my insurance required I pay. If I knew that the bill would be so high I would never have done the evaluation. I was not having any symptoms except a bulging vein. I would tell anyone considering going to them get the payment information in writing. Very mad at the bill I received.

Rachel did the ultrasound of both my legs. Even though I was a little nervous, she was kind, gentle and knowledgeable. Based on her ultrasound, she found the cause of my varicose Vein issues. I highly recommend Rachel. Dr. John James explained every detail of what his treatment plan would be for me. I am very grateful for all the knowledge and expertise. I am going back in a few weeks for my Vein treatments, and I can not wait!

Our grandson was a patient at HFSC a little over a year ago, discharged with promises of follow up and NOTHING. He has been hospitalized three more times for the same challenges, never again accepted at HFSC and the outpatient day program which has been promised, then slow rolled with delay excuses which made little sense and now after an 8 week wait that was supposed to be 3 we shall see how it will go. His challenges far exceed a clipboard and stickers for treatment but that's all he's gotten so far.

When I was finally contacted, I was informed that the referral had been denied because the testing was considered not medically necessary. While I understand that not every referral will be accepted, my biggest concern was communication. It was extremely difficult to get in contact with anyone by phone, and I spent a significant amount of time trying to reach the office for updates. The long wait times and lack of communication added unnecessary stress during an already difficult process. If you are considering this practice, be aware that you may experience delays in receiving updates and may have difficulty reaching staff by phone.

My wife previously had two procedures here and today mine was performed without any hick-ups. The wait, short. The pre-op prep a breeze, short, not rushed, and very comforting. The surgery, from what I can remember, top notch without a worry in the world. Recovery, super easy, like nothing happened, graham crackers devoured and ginger ale guzzled. Depending on your procedure you can be in and out in 2-4 hours; mine roughly a 3 hour tour. Make sure your Chauffeur delivers and picks-up. Also, do not hesitate asking for an official prescription for your favorite sweet; I hit the jack pot ICE CREAM!

Do not be surprised when you arrive and the door to the facility says they're open at 7am because it's a lie. They start getting in right at 6 and let you into the comfortable waiting room. The woman at the front desk was super sweet to me and others, including a bit of a Karen, with whom she dealt with kindly and swiftly. Once I got behind the surgical doors it was like a surgery factory in the best way. Immediately I had a couple of people tending to me in terms of getting me info, giving me info, giving me anesthesia (with great explanations of everything they were going to do to me). I then spotted my orthopedic surgeon, who also gave me great expectations on what to expect. Next thing you know it's 11am, I'm awake back in the same recovery space and feeling good with some saltines and ginger ale. I was swiftly wheelchaired to my wife, waiting with the car at the front door of the facility. Easy peasy. The facility called me the following day to check up on me and remind me of my Dr.'s orders. My doc is not into prescribing hard hitting, addictive opiates so I left with only an RX for strong ibuprofren. The facility reminded me when they called that I can also take Tylenol in between ibuprofren doses, if I needed. I have to have surgery on my other foot either later this year or next and I will definitely use the same Surgeon (Dr. Rode of WH Podiatry) and Bloomfield Ambulatory Surgery Center. Top notch.

Many of our friends recommended the Southington Care Center, and we were fortunate to get in there. I cannot speak more highly of this organization! Attentive, skilled, and caring Nurses, CNAs, and Aides. And the PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists were not only highly skilled and effective, but they all had amazing and genuine interpersonal skills - a very rare combination. The supporting staff from Admissions to the Social Worker/Transitions professionals, and other Staff were simply great. Other reviews mentioned issues with the food - but we found the food to be unexpectedly well-prepared and delicious! Sure, 5 weeks, 3 meals a day, to hundreds of patients, there were a couple "misses". But my Wife and I were stunned at how good the food was overall. Great job everybody! We are SO grateful that Carol was able to go to the Southington Care Center. (A Note to management... and this is NOT a SCC issue... I STRONGLY recommend you find a different Wheelchair Ambulatory Service than that from "Nazim" [860-990-1172].
