This company did a horrendous job with my media marketing campaign. Unresponsive, apathetic, poor results.

From a design perspective perhaps my favorite Barnes and Noble. Much smaller that the massive mall…read morestores, but I liked it. Good selection and a few places to sit down and browse. No coffee shop if I recall right. Didn't engage with staff so no feedback on that. I just liked how the store made me feel.

One of the best Barnes & Noble anywhere. It is not as wonderful as the first location--not as…read morebrowse-friendly, and it lacks the small press selection of journals and chapbooks that I always enjoyed before. But the central location is convenient, and offers a great selection of design, gardening, fashion, photography, and art books. Will you find the super rare or esoteric here? Probably not. But if you enjoy a good general browse, you will not be disappointed in the array of new releases, classic fiction, etc. While I absolutely prefer and rely on independent book sellers who are genuine cognoscenti, I don't expect that from the employees of a big chain. In all my visits to the store I have always been treated well. You do not get the kind of kid-glove or deeply informed assistance you might at The Strand, Rizzoli, Argosy, Three Lives & Company, etc. True, but B & N is convenient to us suburbanites. As long as you accept the baseline that you will find mostly mainstream publication products here, you won't be disappointed. As to value, the pricing is typical. But even at specialty and rare shops today it is difficult to find a bargain, everyone seems to use the internet to ascertain book values and prices. We stop in B & N frequently. I could have bought a boat instead!

This is a review of the home delivery service of the New York Times. This is NOT a review of the…read morepaper itself or its editorial content. This was a review I had left earlier in 2013: 4/16/2013 Terrible service for a world class newspaper! I love the New York Times and view it as a surviving bastion of good journalism and exemplar of the Fourth Estate. I know that the NYT - like all newspapers - is suffering from declining readership. In this case part of the problem is undoubtedly their atrocious customer service. First, the automated system you get into when you dial 1-800- NY-TIMES is one of the slowest and most annoying ones I have encountered. You cannot - as with say American Express - bypass it by hitting 'O'. That simply gets you a 'Did not understand your response' recording and the menu repeats itself. If you are complaining about service you have no way of describing a problem other than those in the highly limited menu. There are no options for reaching a live person or leaving a message. Tip I leaned the hard way - indicate that your paper was late on any day picked at random and wait for the menu and you will finally get a chance to report 'other delivery problems' and that gets you to a live person. Another tip I got recently but have not tested is to say nothing at all and don't hit any keys at the start of the first menu. It will repeat three times and then connect you to a live person. Second, the persons are unfailingly polite. They always say how sorry they are at the inconvenience suffered. But the problem is never resolved and this politeness becomes downright irritating after six times. I don't want them to be sorry. I want them to take action and make sure I get my paper consistently on time. Third, their follow up is good in terms of calling you back. It is atrocious where it counts which is was action taken to correct the situation you were calling about. In my case I have complained at least six times about consistently late delivery and was told - twice! - that it had been escalated to the supervisor level and I still don't get the paper on time. July 21, 2018. Everything I wrote above is still true. My paper has been arriving anywhere between 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. and today's paper had many missing sections including the Business section that I am particularly fond of. I have called AT LEAST TEN times in the last two weeks and, every time, the representative apologizes profusely and then nothing happens. In fact, the paper delivery seems to be later. This is EVERY DAY but each time the rep acts as it was a single occurrence. This is a wonderful example of terrible customer service. Not only is the paper routinely late, they do not tell me WHY this is so or WHEN the problem will be fixed.

I've reported this countless times but nothing happens. I'm so frustrated.
