We have had a subscription for over 30 years but beginning on Thursday, 7/28 we have not received our daily paper. Despite repeated calls to their automated customer service line ( you can never get through to a real person) indicating that there is a delivery problem, there has been no response to the problem. They just don't care. We are seriously considering discontinuing our subscription which I am sure they don't care about either! Update- 7/5/18- after I submitted this review as well as contacted the CT Post via their Facebook account I received a message via Facebook messenger as well as a phone message from a real person ( Karen) who wanted to make sure that our paper delivery issue had been resolved. After not receiving our paper for 5 days we began receiving our paper again on 7/3/18 and things are once again going smoothly. CTpost.com offers a FREE 3-month online trial after which of course they charge your credit card for a full subscription. I signed up for the trial and noted on my calendar to cancel 2 weeks before the three months ended if I wasn't pleased. I went online to cancel but they charged me anyway and when I called for a refund they told me that I had to cancel a month before the trial ended, and that the money I paid was absolutely UNREFUNDABLE, so enjoy the rest of my subscription. read more

After signing up for the digital subscription, there is no way to cancel the service from your phone, you are forced to call them to stop the service. The service shouldn't renew monthly for eternity. Totally unacceptable read more

After figuring out that I got charged by the CT Post twice within a week, I called Customer Service. I had accidentally set up two online accounts. I never could read an article without a link and a pop up indicated that I didn't have an account. They will not refund me the charge on one account because their subscriptions are non-refundable. The customer service person kept referring to a balance on my account, but I think she meant credit, to extend the billing cycle of the other account. They were completely unapologetic, so instead of having to deal with them again, I canceled both accounts. Thanks for nothing. read more

Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with in my life. I've been trying to cancel my subscription for three days and now they went ahead and whacked my credit card again today for another month. Leave messages and speak to supervisors which aren't real supervisors. Give you the runaround and tell you they're gonna cancel it and keep sending you the newspaper with. I received a landline phone call today, 1/13/23. The Caller ID showed: 475 260 0928, Unknown name. Normally I ignore these calls and block them. A woman's voice on voice mail kept saying, hello, hello. I decided to pick up. The woman started talking immediately when I said hello. She spoke so quickly I asked her to repeat what she said. Bottom line: she was calling to tell me the Connecticut Post was going to deliver, in a few weeks, 4 weeks of the newspaper including weekends. As I listened, I thought is this legit? I said to the woman that I did not want the paper delivered. She was astonished and pointed out verbally that it was FREE. I asked her why she was calling? She probably thought I had memory problems. She repeated that I was going to get free newspapers. I then said you are calling to tell me that I would be getting the papers whether I want them or not. I told her I did NOT want the paper delivered. I had to repeat that three times before she "got it." I asked her what address she had for me and she did give me my correct home address. So we'll see how this unfolds. And I tried a number of CT Post phone numbers that are listed online to talk to someone about this and forget it! Some numbers are not working and if you get a number that rings you can't get through. read more

Newspapers across the country have been suffering. It seems most people now get their news on-line or from one of the many all news cable stations. With that said its amazing to me on the weakness of the Ct. Post reporting . I grew up reading the Bridgeport Post and also the Telegram and it seems as if the current reporters just are familiar with the Bridgeport neighborhoods. Maybe this is because they are no longer based out of their former State Street office location. Even on line they when reporting on a local crime story they continue to show a stock photo of the Bpt. Police HQ or a stock photo of a police car. I can't remember the last time I've seen an investigation story by the Post. No investigation stories, no in depth knowledge of the city. Nothing to read. The paper, even the Sunday paper appears half the size that it was 20 years ago. Maybe its time for the paper to cease operations. read more

I have been having problems for a month with this new carrier. Nothing is done to correct the issue. I miss delivery of papers at times, papers are placed not where instructed when he does deliver them, if it rains they are all wet. I called several times and got the same response" we will let the carrier know" . Well he doesn't care just like they dont care! The subscription customer service is located in AZ. Called Connecticut post regarding a bill I received from them. I waited 35 minutes to speak to someone who wasn't knowledgeable enough to solve the problem . On hold for another 22 minutes... Ended up disconnecting my subscription. So said when a company customer service sucks. read more

3 weeks now and after reading a few reviews i see that our complaint is not unique in any way. True that the customer service ( or lack thereof) is located in Phoenix, AZ but please allow me to provide a summary of "reps" and Supervisors I have spoken to the past 3 weeks!. Connie 3 times, Will, Jennifer, Mike, Jesse, Mike again then Christian the supervisor 2 times and then a placed on hold for 30 minutes after promising to have a supervisor call back. Connie once again and then Victoria who each and everyone MUST confirm my bio complete with e mail address prior to "expediting" my problem. It is now 7/17 2019 at 11:10 Eastern time and I have been on hold over 45 minutes. ( No option for a callback when you are this level obviously). Mike just called back and even though spoke to him a mere 3 hours ago, all he could do is "send over" a request to Yvonne because she is very busy and he does not have a time frame and she may not have the time to call right back. To all you future customer reps, read your scripts like good little boys and girls and one day you too will be able to thoroughly aggravate some old guy in CT. Victoria was the only rep that had strayed the slightest bit for the scripts and added that "if" she could she would personally deliver it. Thank You Victoria Our issue were the coupons that we depend on weekly. Oh one more thing... As the previous review, I have the exact same thing happening!! I stopped the paper in Jan of this year. In March, two months later they called and offered one full YEAR for $106.75. So I took them up on their offer and paid the money. (BTW, they are a private contractor) After numerous bills, telephone calls, etc as of last Friday, my paper has been suspended for non-payment. And of course, the person you talk to, cannot do a thing for you! They have to turn it over to a supervisor who of course is not there today!! But they will send an email to them. No, they don't know when they fix it. No, they don't know the supervisor's tel no., no, no, no, no, no! Better Business Bureau here I come!! Idiots!!! read more

We had submitted a notice to stop home delivery on July 31st. Despite calling customer service continuously and having calls moved to supervisor attention - we are still getting papers. It was challenging to start home delivery but it can't be stopped. We have probably logged 20+ calls. Never any follow-up, always receive the same answer when we call "so sorry, we will acccelerate this issue". Numerous times it supposedly has gone to manager atttention but after 90 days the delivery still continues! read more

Received this paper for 50 years cancelled because of customer no service. Recieved a phone call please give us another chance we promise to do better. Nothing changed cancelled again months ago. In December received a promotion in the mail We"ve missed you Welcome Back Holiday Rate Reduction. I decided to try again offer for 1.00 a week for thirteen weeks if paid up front for Thur, Friday, and Sunday paper subscribe by 12/31/2018 for this rate. I received my bank statement on 12/27/18 was charged 22.95. Called customer service representative admitted their mistake and credited me the difference. Now first full week of delivery I received Sunday December 30, 2018, received I Thursday January 3,2018, did not receive Friday January 4, 2018. This is why I stopped the delivery in the first place. read more

I have had a 3 day a week subscription for a long time. I selected EZ Pay to save the cost of the paper bill. Now I see a downside to that choice. My subscription cost was $8 a month, posted to my credit card. Since I do not receive a bill, I do check my charges periodically. In October I paid my $8. In November I paid $10.50 with no explanation. I was charged $12 in December, again with no explanation. After several attempts to contact the circulation department, I finally was able to talk to a human who was patient with his explanation. The $10.50 in November was due to the "special" Thanksgiving edition, although I don't remember what was special about it. The $12 is my new subscription cost due to "increased production costs". My math isn't the best, but I believe that's a 50% increase! Hard to believe they are in that much trouble. No warning, no notice. Not good customer service, but Hearst must need the money. Ct Post has the worst billing system and customer service department I have ever seen. They stopped delivering my newspaper and for what reason I don't know. I am paid up until February 2020. I received a message from Karen in customer care saying that there was a problem. I had placed an on line order and paid for it and she said we already had an account. Yes no kidding. I'm trying to extend the subscription. I have called her several times a day for a week and left messages. She still has not returned my call. It's really upsetting that I can not get the newspaper delivered. Everything is so complicated and mixed up with CT Post it's ridiculous. My husband enjoys reading the newspaper or I wouldn't even bother. It's not worth the effort. I'm sure No one will respond to this review either. Typical. How these people stay in business I will never know. After constant aggravation several years ago, I stopped my subscription. Now that I no longer work Sundays, I decided to try again to get a Sunday paper delivered hoping they got better over the years. Wrong. Worse. Started on 5/8. Subscribed to 6 months with Marcus and told I would have no issues and will definitely get my newspaper on 5/12. NOTHING. Over the next 8 weeks, I have spent every Sunday morning chasing down my paper (with the exception of 2 weeks giving me false hope that it was possible to actually receive a paper). Spoke with Marcus, Robert, James, Lori, Rachel and Ralph, every Sunday stating they were sorry, will have redelivery within 2 hours, and NEVER happened. Over that time period I received 3 no deliveries at all with no redelivery as promised, 2 incomplete papers, and 2 redeliveries on Monday (too late, had to go out and buy again on Sunday). The account was finally cancelled on 6/26 by Jessica who did try, but could not get my paper delivered either. I still can't comprehend how insane this situation is and how it could not be fixed over an 8 week period. Please expect your stress level to rise if you subscribe with them Good Luck!!! read more

i signed up for the newspaper on november 13th 2011 for the thursday saturday and sunday delivery package and as of today january 6th i have not recieved one newspaper. been on the phone with them multiple times per week and was always assured that i would have my delivery on the next day that it was supposed to come and it never arrived. when asking to speak to someone higher up i was told that they would call me back within 2 buisness days and my phone never rang. i was told that notes would be left for the driver each morning saying to make sure we get our paper and still never did. finally today i called and spoke to someone and said i wanted to cancel my subscription and was told that someone higher up would call me back within 2 buisness days. i bet my phone rings today now that i cancelled. they are nothing but a headache to deal with. even though home delivery is cheaper paying the extra money at a store is well worth not having to deal with them read more
