I see a lot of people asking for a realtor lately and I want to share my experience with Marsha…read morePenna. I bought my first house with Marsha as my realtor and she took such excellent pride in helping me check every single box and make sure I was protected during the process. Her experience and her passion for helping first time home buyers shined and we bought a beautiful home with virtually no stress. Even when things came up it was so amazing to have someone who answered any and all questions and operated with the heart of a teacher, never making me feel stupid for not knowing an answer. Fast forward a few years later and I had a new real estate journey: renting my home. I called Marsha. She guided me and make sure I was protected with leases that covered evrything and found me the BEST tenants who have been in my apartment for 3 years and who we never want to leave. We love them. Fast forward a few years later, we ended up selling a second property (never sold a house before) and again, Marsha guided us with empathy, understanding, superb knowledge and protected us in every corner to make sure we got the best deal that wouldn't fall through. Fast forward a few years later, we renovated our first floor and needed advice on what would truly add value to our home. We called Marsha. She spent time helping us make upgrades that were worth it so we can continue attracting the best tenants. Fast forward to today: We are moving again and found a wonderful place. A few bumps in the road happened and Marsha has yet again gone above and beyond to make sure we are protected, informed and have all of our bases covered for the next move. I can't say enough good things about her. After so many years we have met her family and her daughter Farrah was even the officiant at my wedding. She literally married Steve and I in our PJS at home with our puppies licking her face. I could cry thinking about the blessing of knowing Marsha Penna. Side note: I remember one day I was just thanking her for all of her support and help and she told me she loves first time home buyers because nobody likes dealing with them, but to her she loves it not only to help them make this first huge step, but because she can be with them on their journey for the next house and the next house and the next house. Well, her strategy is working and it could not have benefited us more. If you are looking to buy, sell, rent or do anything with real estate, Marsha is your person. Her 20+ years of experience is of EPIC value in the craziest market any of us have ever seen. I take pride in working with people who are passionate about their work and cannot recommend her enough.

Knowledgeable, effective, helpful, prompt, friendly. I am first time client. Highly recommended.read more

They took no action to track me down when…read morethey didn't like the parking spot I chose, even though it had two clear white lines for the space I was parked in . The spot was next to the dumpster and the tow track guy who showed up said I was supposed to know the cone in front of the spot meant don't park there . Nothing was blocking anyone from parking there. . It's a good thing I went outside to throw trash away and noticed the tow truck or else I wouldn't have known where my car went and the police would have been called . I had to pay $60 to get my car back . Do not rent from them - they will tow your car without proper warning ! And the tow truck guy pointed to a sign with a non working number for a tow truck company!!

When I first moved in with my Landlord's son i thought things would be alright. I moved in late may…read more2016 and things were off to a good start. Then all of a sudden things went downhill as soon as he stopped having his maid service come by. He then stopped cleaning his dishes and leaving dirty moldy food in the fridge to stink up for weeks. Finally i got fed up and decided that i would clean his dishes using the dishwasher that was there. Except J.A. Jr. the Landlord's son forgot to mention that it was broken and had been broken since he moved into the apartment. Not only was the dishwasher broken, but so was the bathroom. So naturally i tell the landlord's son to have the toilet and dishwasher fixed. He says sure no problem but takes 3 months to get a handyman to come by. During this time he would still use the toilet and would leave it not flushed. Then the handy man fixes the toilet but says that we need an appliance guy to take care of the dishwasher because it's not that it's broken, it just wasn't installed correctly. So now i wait another month to see if there will be an appliance guy. After consistently texting the landlord's son to see when the appliance guy would come, I got no response and decided to call him myself and set up the appointment (landlord's son was notified of this). It's a landlord's duty to get appliances fixed, but he refused to pay for any of it because he said "I would not be using it so I shouldn't have to pay." After the appliance was fixed, I left him that month's check on the table (as was done every month) and he had accepted it. After that check was processed and in his account, he then tried to have me evicted due to non-payment of rent. As mentioned I would leave a check for each month on the table before it was due, but he chose to not accept them. After the second month of him not accepting the checks, I decided to send them certified mail so he would have to sign for it. During this time he decided to take me to court to try to get me evicted. In the beginning of this process he had changed the Wifi password without telling me or giving me the new one. The lock and key to the front door was altered to prevent me from getting in the apartment (or at least made it difficult for me to do so), but once again he refused to replace it, and it would take me at least 3 minutes to get in the apartment. As the court processes continued, he told his lawyer we did not have a lease, which we did, and also harassed me saying a sheriff was going to come and have me removed without a court order. After going to court, The lawyers advised that I stay the duration of my school year (which was the time frame I told him I would leave when I first moved in) Overall, this has been a horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone renting out to him and his son.
