I replied yes to the text and then I received a reply saying thanks and that you would see me at the appointment. I drove to the office to find it closed. The sign on the door says the office is open on Wed, Thurs, and Friday. This is not the case. I called the office in Corydon because I know they are connected. I was told that there was a new woman but that she was in Salem today. She had the new lady call me. She said that they called me yesterday to let me know they had changed the office hours at the Clarksville, In. location. She said they left me a message, neither is true. I didn't get a call or a message from Beltone. This office has had several issues in the past and now they are continuing. There is no excuse for making me drive to Clarksville when the office is not even open. And worse, there is no excuse for lying about calling me and leaving a message about my appointment. I don't see how you stay in business with practices like this.

It took a while to figure out what had changed so we patiently kept appointments while trying to identify our dissatisfaction with this business. First, the communication and ability of the front office staff deserves a one star. The staff has a snarky customer communication on even the easiest aspect of their job, namely sign in and scheduling appointments upon completion of the current visit. Additionally with no notice on one visit we were presented a bill that they wanted paid at the time. This was a first for us so my husband inquired what the bill was for. Neither front office person could tell us what the invoice was for. They did agree to let us mail a payment since we had no advance notice there would be a charge. As for the visit with the audiologist we began realizing the visits were used more for teaching future audiologists. When we first got started with Heuser Hearing we didn't realize they were a teaching Institute. The price doesn't reflect a savings because this.

I saw Dr. K, who was awful. Bedside manner bordered on me being the pig at a slaughterhouse, and he was the butcher. I didn't know what was going to happen, nor was I informed. One minute I'm sitting there talking, and the next minute I had something stuck in my nose and it extended into my throat. Wow! It would've been nice to have a heads up what I was going to experience, and maybe ask if I was okay with it. For me, it was absolutely horrible. This wouldn't be for everyone. I left there in tears, feeling like that poor child whose screams from outside continued, as they dragged her kicking and screaming into the building to her appointment. Never again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The front desk staff lacked friendliness. I felt more like a burden. Dr. K's nurse was nice, very chatty, but nice. She said some things in regard to my medical information that made me feel scared. That was poor judgment on her part. Checking out wasn't any better than checking in. This place lacks professionalism. It was extremely disappointing, and poorly ran. I wanted to run, not walk out. Never again.
