My wife went to Advanced EN&T a few years ago. She had been to many EN&T's in the past from medicines to several operations and finally gave up. She went to Advanced and they found a med that worked for her correcting several issues from taste to allergies. She has been doing well ever since. A'd ENT even advocated for her to the medication manufacturer to help address costs. We have been impressed. read more

BAD customer service. My husband had to send his hearing aids off for a battery replacement. They also replace the ear inserts. Wouldn't adjust them in the office, couldn't see him for three weeks, and is charging him for another office visit. Customer service sucks! read more

If you're referred here, good luck! I should've taken the child screaming bloody murder, not wanting to go near the building, as my indicator. Now, I feel the same way, and I'm old. I saw Dr. K, who was awful. Bedside manner bordered on me being the pig at a slaughterhouse, and he was the butcher. I didn't know what was going to happen, nor was I informed. One minute I'm sitting there talking, and the next minute I had something stuck in my nose and it extended into my throat. Wow! It would've been nice to have a heads up what I was going to experience, and maybe ask if I was okay with it. For me, it was absolutely horrible. This wouldn't be for everyone. I left there in tears, feeling like that poor child whose screams from outside continued, as they dragged her kicking and screaming into the building to her appointment. Never again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The front desk staff lacked friendliness. I felt more like a burden. Dr. K's nurse was nice, very chatty, but nice. She said some things in regard to my medical information that made me feel scared. That was poor judgment on her part. Checking out wasn't any better than checking in. This place lacks professionalism. It was extremely disappointing, and poorly ran. I wanted to run, not walk out. Never again. read more

I was referred to Advanced ENT because of ongoing problems with my ear. My husband and I drove an hour to been seen here. Dr Neuman seemed to diagnose my problem as being an older person with "selective hearing loss". He really did not seem to want to listen to my concerns. Did a quick peek at my ear and sat in the patient chair saying he would call in a prescription. He started typing on his tablet and looked up at us and told my husband and me that we could go..basically dismissing us like kids. I told my husband "What a wasted trip". My appointment was on a Wednesday, as of Friday evening the prescription still had not been called in to my pharmacy. I tried leaving a text to Avanced ENT on Monday morning followed by leaving a message for them Monday afternoon. As of Monday night, I have heard nothing back from them. My ear pain and tinnitus has got worse and now I am having pretty bad headaches. read more

Received a text at 11am confirming appointment at 1:20on that same day. Arrive 15 minutes early to be told the patient's appointment was rescheduled "due to their policy." Patient was not called and patient was in pain. No empathy whatsoever on the part of the associate at the front desk. Associate response was "it must have been our call center's failure." Also note: the instructions for the medical device contradict "their policy." All around a disappointing experience with a medical office that should care for patients. Wasted time, gas and PTO for an appointment that was cancelled without proper notification to the patient. In the 20 minutes there, they had at least 50 patients filter through. I cannot possibly fathom those patients are getting top of the line medical care when the rotation goes that quickly. Read there other lower star reviews. This does not appear to be an outlier experience. Would not recommend this office at all! read more

As a New Patient, I saw Dr. Eric Carter at the New Albany location today. This is a heads up for anyone who thinks his close to five star review will help you when picking an ENT. This doctor is nothing but rude, no bed side manners, doesn't listen to the patient. His nurse was AMAZING, asked all kinds of questions, meds and the doctor had all labs, medications, test results so I went in prepared. The doctor asked the same questions as his nurse asked, had to leave the room with gloves on and returned with the same gloves and never switched out gloves so he cross contaminated. The doctor just told me oh it's GERD and told me that a prior surgery must have come undone but refused or even suggest another stomach scope to confirm his thinking. Told me I need speech therapy when my speech is gone and gave script for GERD Acid medication and follow up in two months. Save your time, energy and money and perhaps see someone else in this group but I would highly avoid this so called Dr. Eric Carter - he's a true jackass and acted better then anyone else. read more

I went there for a supposedly very simple effective in office surgery to clear sinus' called Aerin Vivaer. The office staff was very nice and friendly. Dr K was very nice and friendly. It cost $100 every time I went and the surgery itself cost $2000. The surgery itself was much more painful than I expected. I had watched a couple videos that made it seem easy and painless. Ive waited several months to post a review because supposedly the surgery takes up to six months to take full effect. I went back for my first followup 6 weeks after the surgery. I had no noticeable improvements. Dr K immediately started talking about other surgeries he could do to help. I was pretty disappointed because I thought he might tell me it would improve over time but it sounded like he just wanted to make more money off of me. He also recommended some type of spray I could use for my sinuses. Anyway its been over six months now and I haven't noticed any improvement in my sinuses. Im thinking it was all about making money. Several months ago I went back to get allergies tested on the other side of the building. The front desk girl took my credit card and insurance card and said my total out of pocket expense would be $150 so they charged that to my credit card. The test itself was ridiculous just because of the weird and uncommon things they tested for. You would think they would test for very common things from this area but I hardly recognized any of them. They wanted me to make another appointment I guess so they could start giving me shots but by this time I was pretty disgusted with the whole place and never went back. To make matters worse they sent me an additional bill for $297.26. Like I said everybody in the office was nice and friendly but their services were ineffective and costly. Went to Advance ENT on Daisy Lane in New Albany for a second opinion on a hearing issue that wasn't resolved from my current ENT Doctor's office. Read a few reviews on Dr Shotts and about Advance ENT . I had 2 appointments with Dr Shotts and he was not personable in fact he was very rude. He made me feel rushed and I couldn't ask the questions I wanted to. My first appointment with him we discussed my issue that's been on going for 9 months. I mentioned something that I came across on the internet about my symptoms and he got upset that I did that,  like I was going against his diagnosis. He was very condescending to me. Well, he didn't have an answer except to try a tube in that ear which I agreed to,  just to end my appointment with him and get out of there. But that had to be done on a separate appointment date as a surgery. Im sure so my insurance could be billed for another office visit and surgery. My previous ENT Dr installed a tube right there during a visit with him. Not another appointment or schedule it as a surgery. Well , 2 weeks later on "surgery" day,  Dr Shotts came in the room and I asked him a question about the ear he was going to work on and he refused to answer it. He told me this appointment was for surgery and not a consultation and he could cancel the surgery if I wanted to ask questions. He basically told me I wasn't allowed to ask questions. Wow. His quoted reply to my question was "don't you remember we discussed that on your first appointment?" Well it wasn't answered on the first visit that's why I asked it again. So after 2 poor experiences with Dr Shotts I won't be returning to Advance. Wish I would've seen a different provider there. I'm sure the experience would've been better, it couldn't have been any worse. The staff at Advance did a great job. They treated me well and with respect. 5 stars for staff. Zero stars for Dr Shotts. read more

Dr. K at Advanced ENT in New Albany saw me for tinnitus (constant ear ringing). He cleaned out my ears and spent a total of probably 5 minutes looking in my ear and talking to me. He didn't ask me about any of my other symptoms, such as my dizziness. Tinnitus can be a symptom of more serious disorders like meniere's disease, but he didn't work to rule that out. He sent me home with a paper to help "quality of life" (basically turn on background music) since he told me it wouldn't improve. A month later, I visited another ENT who talked to me a lot more about my symptoms, actually looked at my hearing screening and SAW the negative pressure behind my ear, assured me of no other disorders, and prescribed me nasal spray. My tinnitus was gone within weeks of using the prescription. Dr. K also told me it had to do with TMJ, but this other ENT actually felt the joint and knew it wasn't related. On top of all of this, I had to pay an expensive co-pay at Advanced ENT (which I guess they always require?) AND got another large bill in the mail for him to not even solve the issue. read more
