Our child just started…read moregoing here (our first child so there's apprehension) and so far RHCC has been absolutely professional, friendly and accommodating. When we took the tour one of the owners walked with us for over an hour and was very thorough and detailed about every aspect of the place. He was very transparent and explained everything exhaustively, I like that. RHCC has a large backyard with playsets, swings, slides, etc. Patient and knowledgeable teachers, the whole place is monitored with cameras, you have to get through two doors (that can only be buzzed open) and the teachers/aides go through a background check. I like security like any parent so this made me feel comfortable. They're flexible on their hours and if your kid isn't potty trained yet they change on premises (if you're comfortable with that.) Plus the thing that sold me the most on the place was the children themselves seemed legitimately happy while they were playing, etc. so that clued me in it wasn't a big act. We'll be taking our child back.

The trails are free to enter but they do request for volunteer donation for non members. Different tiers of annul membership available to purchase at main office that comes with some wonderful perks, such as free access to trails and special events. The main office also has some of the exhibition items like insect box and turtle box. Outside the office there's also bird and butterfly cages. We went to the center for our daughter to participate in butterfly feeding event. Upon arrival we found out we had to buy the tickets for one of the two scheduled events. Luckily there were slots available to the second event on the day. The ticket was reasonably cheap, only $8. It also came with an additional bird's exhibition that took place right in front of office deck. All the stuff members were very friendly, informative and interactive. We spent wonderful couple of hours here on beautiful warm summer day.

The staff (from counselors to instructors) is also fantastic and a group of very experienced professionals. The directors are always developing new programs and bringing in the latest activities for campers of all ages. One of the newest additions to the camp is the climbing wall and zip line. My kids could not get enough of them. My kids are also huge fans of animals and the fact that Deerkill has a pony, and a couple of friendly alpacas is a great plus. Overall, I would recommend Deerkill to anyone that would like to provide their kids with the opportunity to have summers they will never forget making life long friends along the way. She associates her uniform with "going to school", which is a great visual prompt to get us ready & out the door each day. 2) The administration and staff are so helpful & have been extra accommodating to her special needs. There is a great curriculum including an introduction to Spanish language skills & preschool preparation (tracing letters, using glue sticks & scissors, etc) . It's truly like a school rather than just a daycare facility. She loves her teachers Mrs Ruth & Miss Justine :) 3) The tech used by the facility is great. The app lets us check her in & out for the day with ease. We get information and photo updates throughout the day. 3) Food is healthy and our picky eater never goes hungry.

The facilities are outdated and something always seem to be broken. For parents, it is extremely uncomfortable to be able to watch your kids during swimming class. A small branch a the gymnasium is often rented out for outside events I was told of this fact but…read morewas assured proper notice would be given I went to the gym Saturday the 6th of April and a last minute booking caused the gym to be blocked off ...I simply went to the Rahway branch which is lovely ...I go back to the Elizabeth branch today and request that I get my physical membership card since when I signed up maybe 3 days prior they were out of stock the team member by the name of Donna was very rude and insisted on me paying 10 dollars after I explained in great detail that I never received one even telling her the team member who handled my membership and can confirm the details she did not even attempt to hear me out simply dismissing me unless I would pay ...very unpleasant!
