And when you do get through to the dispatcher she doesn't always get the key information -- like the call back phone number -- into the system. Today I was on site waiting for three hours for the driver/operator to call, or show, either. By the time I finally called in the operator gave lame excuses and said "well, we'll have to reschedule." Reliable as a broken clock, sorry to say.

We had…read moresome hit or miss due to scheduling sometimes but I'm always a good customer and a repeat customer so in November when my pup unexpectedly passed away I had to cancel my shredding and let's just say Tom was less than sympathetic to me and I told him this. For this reason, I have decided to not use Afordable Shred because I just couldn't get over how he tried to admonish me for not being available when I told them my dog died. I mean really... so that left me quite upset because that was very insensitive. Since then I have found a reputable Shred company that comes to Springfield on Mondays and they are $40 cheaper than Afordable Shred so I guess this happened "for me and not to me". They just lost a great customer! Prior to the incident Nov 2024, I thought that they did a very good job with coming to my home and shredding. I just think that Tom could use a course in customer empathy and customer service and don't be a bully. He did try to apologize, but it was kind of an after fact apology when I told him that I would not use them and why. My stars are reflective of the drivers that came to my home. They were always prompt and they were always friendly, but I'm not happy with the office.

Jeremy, the copy desk manager, could not have been more professional. He made dozens of copies for me without complaint and was, in fact, pretty friendly. He was even more congenial the following day when I arrived much earlier in his shift. He was funny, nice, and did a great job laminating several items for me. I can't speak for the prices or inventory at Office Depot, but Jeremy is a first rate employee who provided incredible service. Give him a raise!

When she was giving us the information on the office cart, she never did say we had to order it and that they dont keep them in stock. We get to the register and then we find out from the cashier that bit of information. The cashier was a total airhead and you could tell she only stood behind the counter because she couldnt answer any question you asked her. It seems the items we were looking for were scattered over four isles when they shouldnt have been. The store was clean but just very poor in my opinion. Hire some more employees! I hired Randy in May 2017 and each time I met with him, he complained about previous customers/people- the man who left his dogs alone over Christmas, the woman who insisted on being addressed as Doctor because she has a PhD and asked to know if she could have an area to park her car to avoid the hassle of locating a parking spot in downtown Normal, the woman who walked into his office and "acted like a princess" because she wanted a perfect wedding, constantly arguing over how he doesn't have enough money- even though I paid for his services in cash & donated an extra $300 to his animal rescue organization. I gave Randy a 1-star rating on Facebook and Randy immediately took down the "Reviews" section of his Facebook page so that nobody could read my review or see his low review score. Instead of apologizing for being rude & unprofessional during filming & editing, he has attempted to hush me, which is unfair to potential customers who may be exposed to his DEPRESSING and UNPROFESSIONAL conduct. Given his negative attitude, he's likely talked sh** about me to others as well.
