The address is actually 495 orange st. It's cheap comfort food. Greasy artery clogging food that is delicious.

The after church crowd was here on Sunday and I completely understand why. The food was every thing…read moreit needed to be & then some. I ordered the shrimp & grits with a side of eggs. They serve breakfast all day and have a vegan menu. The restaurant is connected to an apartment building so be careful not to pass when looking for it. It has a black & white striped triangular umbrella hovering over it. The staff were kind and the atmosphere was extremely down to earth, but not ghetto. This is a great mom & pop shop that you should fed check out. Be sure to try a flavored lemonade or iced tea. They are tall and one was more than enough. I didn't notice any ASL speaking staff, it wasn't needed, but there is space for wheelchairs. There is also street parking so be mindful. Only downside, our table wasn't exactly clean when sat down, but it was obvious they were busy. Overall, this is a great place for brunch or Sunday takeout dinner.

Food: chicken was very good and flavorful, grilled cheese was good and toasted golden brown. Waffles were bland thick and hard to swallow even with syrup still bland . The worst thing about my whole meal was my drink there was something floating in the bottom of my drink that no one could identify.

We (two) started with delicious lattes, and then shared the great shrimp soup, a lovely omelette with several add-ons, and a fresh salad with several add-ons. I liked table #10 for the view of both rooms & the action. Nice looking clientele & flow, and clean rest-room. I picked up a couple of brownies, to go, (already wrapped for my grabbing convenience) for my house-mates. Nice a al carte build-your-own scenario, but all that adds up! (Computerized from the table to the kitchen, so there were no mistakes [although they need to update the prices on the (good-looking) website]). I am ambivalent about the "gratuity" [sic] (for table service) being added in (but I wanted to [did] give more than the 15% anyway). I live a little in the past about prices and "worth." It's a little more $ -- but nicer/better -- than a diner (so it was a more special / treat). I think that they have a pasta special on one day of the week... feijoada on another day... and "brunch" on Sundays. I really enjoyed the whole experience--and definitely plan to return...!

I always have a sweet tooth and wanted to give this spot a try. When I arrived I had to double park…read morebecause parking is terrible in this area. I walked in and was greeted. The spot was super cute. I asked the lady a couple of questions about the desserts and the one I went with is the lime pie. It came to a little under $7 for a small slice. It's a tad pricey at this location. I paid and left. When I got home I tasted and it was a tasty pie. It was the right amount of flavor throughout. I had a pretty decent experience.

I ordered an Iced Mango Matcha Latte and it was a perfect drink for me to drink as I get some work…read moredone while waiting for a soccer match nearby. The barista was very friendly and made the drink exactly as requested. The cafe has greenery everywhere and there are plenty of seats from single up to large groups with or without tables. I love coming here and getting a break from the city atmosphere outside. There's construction across the street, but you don't even notice.

Two floors with the main floor having tons of bar stools, Tabes and a lower nook area with a larger table and some couches. Upstairs offers a long community table with window lounge seating bright and even whimsical with a lovely floor to ceiling book case. Menu offers snacks, small bites and more substantial meal options. They also do a happy hour special beginning at 4! I opted for a dirty chai (5/5) and scrambled egg and cheddar sandwich (5/5) both were delish! Appreciated the side salad as well! If you're looking for a spot to work, meet a friend or enjoy some time to your self reading a book definitely check it out. Staff is friendly, noise is reasonable and not disruptive, space is bright and open. Free WiFi. Plenty of places nearby if you wanted to try another spot for food. The only bummer is the Parking. There is street or nearby parking lot but street parking was full even at 9:30 AM the lot is covered but $5 for 2 hours and up from there.
