I definitely underestimated this pool! For some reason I expected it to be super crowded and…read morecrammed, but it was actually the opposite, there was a good amount of people and it was a very large pool where you had enough space in the recreation area. The amount of lanes were you able to get your lane if you wanted to do laps. Had multiple lifeguards onduty on top of safety and the place was clean. I will say the bathrooms could've been better, but overall the rest is really good. They had pool toys for you to use and my son really loved the water basketball hoop. It was also pretty neat that you can bring your own food or order your food for delivery. Four dollars per person is a great price! They also have summer movie nights and Sunday evenings with the inflatable pool jumper which I thought was pretty cool. Definitely plan to come back .

Wonderful and clean facility!…read more When the swimming pool at my gym was out of commission, I needed to look for an alternative as swimming is part of my weekly workout routine. The pool has 6 lanes, with increasing depth along the pool. The outer left lanes are very shallow and are mostly used for kids' swimming classes. The outer right lanes are 5 feet deep and are wide enough for comfortable swimming laps. The swimming pool is kept very clean and heated all year round. There is a lifeguard on duty and a small outdoor changing area. As for parking, there are ample parking spaces within the CLU school campus. The lanes fill up fast, and the best way to book them is through the conejo valley recreation website. Booking a single lane for an hour costs $4, which is a very affordable option to use such a nice facility.

Update: In response to this situation, I received a full refund of this month's fee from management…read morebecause of the unprofessional behavior of this desk worker (Tyler White). I appreciate their professionalism in how the situation was handled. Updated my rating to reflect this. Overall, the facilities are nice but this incident shows that they need to be much more careful about who they hire. I've been a paying member of the YMCA for a few years, and until recently, I have had nothing but positive and professional experiences. Unfortunately that changed after an experience with a part-time front desk employee named Tyler White, who despite not having any kind of managerial authority, attempted to forcibly remove me from the premises under the false belief that I was trespassing. I was extensively harassed by this employee and falsely accused of committing a crime based on suspicion alone. To be clear, I am a current member with a valid membership which I scanned when I arrived. Despite successfully scanning my card and having my check in verbally acknowledged by multiple staff members, Tyler had some personal doubts and suspicions about whether I was a member. However, he did not ask for additional verification in a respectful way. Instead, he profiled me as a trespasser, escalated the situation, repeatedly demanding that I leave and threatened to call the police. He loudly (falsely) accused me of committing a crime in front of other gym members and even imitated law enforcement in the kind of language that he was using. He shouted violently in front of other gym members in definite terms "you will be arrested" as a mere civilian. These arrest threats were made based on suspicion alone and absolutely no evidence to support them. I seriously do not know anyone of adult age that does not realize that this kind of language is specifically reserved for law enforcement... not for someone who's job title is "membership assistant" at the ymca. When I say that he screamed I don't mean that he just raised his voice... he was so enraged it's literally like he wanted to murder someone. Everyone in the gym was terrified and he caused a huge scene. After I proved to him that I was a member, no apology was offered. Instead he offered the pathetic excuse that "we've just been having a lot of trespassers lately". I absolutely do not appreciate being falsely accused of crimes from a part time desk worker who has no legal authority whatsoever. Also, if you look at a job listing for his official role (membership assistant)... we read that they are to "Bring unusual or unresolved issues to the attention of the Membership Director". Therefore, it is part of his job to refer issues internally within the company, not to take suspicions into his own hands and recklessly threaten and accuse. While the YMCA is private property it also operates under contractual obligations with its members. Tyler's behavior was not only legally questionable (verging on defamation and violation of California's public accommodations laws (Unruh Act) which prohibits arbitrary discrimination ), it also reflects a serious lack of training and oversight. If someone this inexperienced, immature, unhinged and reactive is being given unchecked authority over member access, then that is a huge liability to the YMCA and its members. This was an huge overreach by a young employee who severely lacks maturity. This experience raises serious questions about Tyler White's employability in a customer service job. The fact of the matter is that he is simply not employable by the widest stretch of the imagination. He is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This is a violent, unstable and severely mentally ill young person who needs rehabilitation. This is the kind of person who would need constant supervision and management and cannot be trusted to be left alone. This organization has no business giving someone like this a chance and putting members at risk. The YMCA should be a place of community. Not violence, unstable behavior or power trips from mentally ill immature staff barely out of high school.

However, the front office team has been disappointing. They don't greet you when you walk in and don't come across as approachable or helpful. When I asked about enrolling my son in an additional lesson with the same instructor, the staff member kept repeating the same information without really trying to understand what I was asking. No one stepped in to assist or clarify, which made the interaction frustrating. I wasn't set on a specific class type. I was simply trying to have my son work with the same instructor twice a week, whether that meant private or group lessons. Additionally, out of the three lessons we've attended, the instructor we originally booked has only been present once. Each time, we receive notice the day before or even the same day that there will be a substitute, which has been disappointing. I hope the front office team can improve their customer service and communication, as it would make a big difference in the overall experience.

She…read moreempathized, apologized and assured us that our kids would be able to bring their own gear to practice and that there was absolutely a place for kids who don't want to swim competitively yet. - We shall see how their next practice goes...Kaylee will be sending us an email that recaps our call today. This review is for the Lake Lindero location. My wife was invited to bring the eldest two of our children (5 & 7 year-olds) to trial out a pilot for this location at the end of the summer. We were told that it was a non-competitive team and everything was going swimmingly (5-Stars). However that instructor moved back to Hawaii and when the official program was kicked off in the fall, we were asked to bring any friends for an unpaid trial to gauge interest. However, this is where things went downhill fast. The first incident occurred during the first trial, where the owner/swim instructor forcibly removed a swim shirt/rash guard from a 7 year-old boy, who was telling him to stop and visibly resisting him. Our friend never brought her kids back again, but sent a very kind email asking them to review this practice and ensure that they not turn off any other children to swimming in the future. The second issue that occurred was that there were not enough instructors for the 4 lanes, which were packed with 15-16 kids. Another friend of ours wanted her daughter to join, but she couldn't understand the instruction and it became clear that this was a competitive environment rather than a non-competitive environment that we were led to believe. Lastly, our children were enjoying the swimming part, but repeatedly shared that it wasn't very fun and that it was a lot of work and that there was no time to make new friends (these are kids that play multiple sports year round and are not lazy children, however we just wanted a safe place for our kids to fall in love with swimming, since we have a pool and they are strong swimmers). What pushed us over the edge was being told opposing stories regarding a swim package (~$300/child for an embroidered backpack, suit, fins, etc). We were told that it was not mandatory to swim and since our kids are not wanting to compete, investing around $1K for one month of swim sounds ludicrous. My wife paid for the first month and when she showed up with our children this afternoon, the owner refused to open the equipment room for our kids to use the fins and kick-boards. This has caused us to cancel our membership (we have asked for a full refund and if this is honored, I will revise my review and rating). This is all so unfortunate, since our kids and many families in the neighborhood are looking for a place to take our kids where they don't need to compete, but just swim for fun. We had over 10 kids, who wanted to join our kiddos, but it looks like that won't be happening anymore. My daughter summed it up best, when she got home, "Daddy...today is such a bummer day."

Before moving forward, we met with 3 different contractors, and Mike was the only one who really understood our vision. We didn't want to tear out our existing concrete or patio cover, which made the project more complicated, but he was able to design around it and still deliver exactly what we were hoping for. That flexibility was a big reason we chose them. We broke ground on 9/15/25 and everything was complete by 11/10/25!!! It was crazy how fast everything went and he definitely did an amazing job coordinating all the teams to finish in a timely manner. We went with a custom setup that included a raised spa, Baja shelf, and two illuminated sheer descents, and everything came together really well. The spa might just be one of the biggest in town! The water features at night give the whole backyard a clean, finished look, with the lights. We also added the iAquaLink system, which has been super convenient for controlling everything from our phones. Like any build, there were a few minor things that came up along the way, but nothing major, and Mike has been responsive when we needed him. What stood out most is that he didn't disappear after the job was done-- Mike continues to be helpful when we've had questions or needed small adjustments. That kind of follow-through matters with a project like this, and it's a big reason we'd recommend CATAK. Looking forward to enjoying the pool for years to come and continuing to work with them if anything comes up down the line. I will add some pictures soon!

While…read morethe first three I would consider decent projects with not too much to complain about, it became apparent that building with CATAK pools would be an eye-opening experience. The level of professionalism and expertise was something we had never experienced before in any home project including building a custom spec home, let alone a swimming pool. Attention to detail and quality was built into the entire project and Mike was leading the entire way. All aspects of the project were handled with zero headaches on our end and there weren't any surprises or "gotcha" moments, Mike handled everything and always made us comfortable with the process, valued our input, and any offered changes from us without any fuss or hassle. The execution of the project was seamless and performed in a systematic and efficient manner, even with some weather impact the whole project was wrapped up in record time. During execution the crews' that Mike used were amazing! Even though there is some noise associated with the process they were always cognizant of appropriate times and hours worked in order to keep the nuisance down to a tolerable level for us and our adjacent neighbors who commented more than once about the exemplary job the company was doing and keeping work areas and approaches clean during the process. One neighbor didn't even realize we were building a pool until it was just about finished! The finished product is beautiful and turned out better than we could have hoped for! We would recommend CATAK pools and Mike Smith for anyone who is considering building the pool of your dreams! Thanks again Mike!

The movable equipment like the boxes often are filled with personal item like phone and headsets so it's not easy to just grab what you need easily. Several times over the past few months the gym has had no hot water and/or no steam. I utilize the gym before work so this is a major issue. In fact as a write this just received a notification of no hot water. ‍ The sign up part was awesome, with Equinox providing guests passes, gift receipts for the store etc....ending the membership, however, has been painful. I started the process a week ago and my email wasn't on file despite providing all of my info thru the signup process. When I attempted to end my membership thru the email provided it had expired only two days later. Calling back, had to provide my email again. Went thru the cancellation process only to encounter an "error" at the end. Attempted several additional times with same result. Called the club and was informed a "report" had to be made and sent to the general manager for approval. What? My husband is now encountering the same shenanigans. No email on file, no address blah blah. The Equinox front desk manager was rude and condescending saying "I'm sorry mame" over and over. Extremely disingenuous attitude and tone as if just to get me off the phone and not genuinely sorry. Overall an awful experience. Beware, this is a hotel California membership.

I woke up early--excited--because the night before I'd made a decision that felt meaningful: I was joining this specific gym. The doors were open. The lights were on. The front desk felt more symbolic than functional. I spent roughly two minutes wandering the entry area, scanning for help, direction, or any indication that new members were expected. Eventually, a young employee was walking towards me. We made eye contact. From about 5 yards away he spoke first. "What do you want?" Not good morning. Not how can I help you. Just that. I stood there for several seconds, unsure if I'd heard him correctly. When I asked if that was really what he said, there was no apology. Instead, he attempted a quick revision: "I meant, what do you need?" I told him I didn't need anything I was there to join ..he began backpedaling and explained that he wasn't feeling like himself due to "some medication" or something he had taken the night before--an explanation I neither requested nor gave af about. This employee, Josh, then immediately tried to shift into sales mode and motioned for me to follow him to the computer area so he could sign me up. I looked at him like he was mentally challenged but I was quickly feeling anger rising. At that point, I asked for a manager's business card. I was told there weren't any. That "it doesn't work like that." No manager. No card. No escalation path. No accountability--just a shrug and a system apparently designed to exist without oversight before sunrise. So I did the only reasonable thing left. I turned my back, walked out, and said, "I'll figure it out." What should have been the start of a positive lifestyle change turned into a lesson in how quickly motivation can be shut down by dismissiveness, deflection, and a complete absence of basic customer service. Two stars. One for being open at 5:45 a.m. One for reminding me that professionalism, like management, is apparently unavailable during early hours. If this is the experience for someone eager to join, I can't imagine what happens when someone needs help--or tries to leave.
