Conecuh sausage is the Southern staple! It was cool to visit retail store near the factory. My favorite part is getting to try all the different flavors of sausage and hotdog on the roller bar I came for breakfast, they have biscuits, gravy, grits, as well as all the sausages and toppings Staff is super friendly. I wish I wasn't flying home so I could've taken home some of their bacon and other meats. Definitely worth a stop if you're on the interstate anywhere nearby read more

Conecuh is absolutely delicious and beloved here in the South! In fact the Conecuh tag line is "True Southern Flavor" since 1947. That's 79 years in business. It's a family run business, and the Sessions family is the family behind Conecuh. The Sessions have been making Conecuh pork sausage over a hickory fire in Evergreen Alabama since 1947. They use the original family recipe to this day and now, Conecuh offers six varieties of sausage including Cajun, Spicy and Hot, and All Natural Hickory Smoked with no MSG or added nitrates. Evergreen is located in Conecuh County, Alabama. in 2015, the Conecuh company produced between 30,000-40,000 pounds of sausage each day! Wow! Well done, Conecuh! As an Alabamian, Conecuh is most delicious in a shrimp and grits dish! I agree with Yelper Friend John M. that Conecuh sausage does "have a great snap when you bite into it and the flavor is outstanding!" Here in North Alabama, Conecuh products are readily available at Publix, Kroger, Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, Star Super Market, and other grocery stores! Conecuh meats, gift items (t-shirts, magnets, yard flags, etc.), and spices are also available on Amazon. It is a huge menu bolster in Alabama if the restaurant's chef adds "Conecuh" to the description of a menu item! Thanks for the deliciousness, Conecuh! read more

This was a very cool roadside stop while traveling back to Nashville. They had a great selection of sausages to eat and a big freezer stocked with plenty that you could take home as well. They also have a lot of souvenirs and swag to buy as well as rubs and sauces. Next time we're on our way down to Florida, we'll stop in and grab some sausages to grill up. The store was very clean and reminded me a lot of Buc-ees. I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you're looking for something different from your average gas station stop during the middle of your roadtrip. read more

Stopped by on our way home as we love conecuh sausage. First off parking is very easy even when pulling a travel trailer. Additional parking across the street. It is very convenient as it is located right of the freeway. They do sell different flavors of hotdogs at a very reasonable price. They have a bunch of different toppings you can add, which makes it fun. The gift shop is stocked with a lot of items and they have different grills for sale. The bathrooms are very clean. People that work there are super friendly. They do have a doggie run that you can take your dog to for relief, but some people don't clean up after their dogs. No fault of the business. They don't allow dogs to pee on the landscaped property, which I respect. Overall the experience was good. They also have the meats for sale to include hamburgers patties, ham, and hot dogs. read more

Yes, I did make my husband stop here on the way back from Mobile one day. Like that they have so many local/Alabama brands available in the gift store area. They also had whole cakes from Dean's which I hadn't seen much near us. And of course, we had to get lunch. Pretty good price for a sausage dog, chips, and a drink. As we came in, I noticed they had feed corn bags on sale. Made a few calls to family, and on our way out, we ended up getting a fair number of bags to bring back to them. Drive around back, and they load them for you! read more

LOVE Alabama's Locally made Conecuh Sausage! From their new Website: "The Highest Quality Meats Prepared With Our Patented Blend of Seasonings, and Smoked Over a Pure Hickory Fire" YUM! LOVE LOVE LOVE our Conecuh! Especially the "Grillin Dogs." Which we can only get at the Conecuh Headquarters in Alabama. I'm not sure why that is but yeah, the grillin dogs are our absolute fave & you can only get them at the Conecuh Headquarters. A local must have for the Rock and Roll grillin Summer Holiday Season. Sir Hubbers was just in Birmingham, Alabama for the Def Leopard concert, the Conecuh Headquarters was on the way, so he stopped in & stocked up on our fave Grillin Dogs & a case of Cattleman's Hamburgers for the upcoming Holiday. We missed the deadline to ship online dang it, so his fun Rock and Roll trip worked out perfect to stop in the Headquarters, in person. OuiOui. Sir Hubbers rocked the concert, then, picked up the Conecuh grillin dogs & burgers on the way back. It was a grillin dogs "Rock and Roll" event hahaha. Anyhoo, so yes, you can order online (check the website for their shipping information) However, I do not see the Grillin Dogs in the online store. Can you please add the "Grillin Dogs" to the online store? That would really Rock our socks off. Anyhoo, no worries, we will still be visiting the Conecuh Headquarters in person, during the Christmas Holiday season. It's one of my favorite places to visit at Christmas. The Conecuh gift shop is one of my favorite places to purchase Christmas gifts. It's always decorated so beautifully, with tons of unique Christmas decorations to purchase, gourmet kitchen items, cooking utensils, gourmet treats etc., kinda like a Willie Wonka/Williams-Sonoma store, inside a yummy sausage factory. And while you're there, you def want to "Rock and Roll" with some of their fresh made sausages rollin fresh on the grill in their cafe. You can also top your grillin dogs with their fresh made chili, it's also excellent. OuiOui :)... We are so looking forward to a Classic Alabama rock and roll Christmas season, filled with your greatest hits, like the hickory smoked hams, smoked turkeys & Slab BACON! :).. The Ham & Sausage assortment Gift Box (23 pounds) $144.99 & the Turkey & Sausage Assortment Gift box $131.99 are a perfect Christmas Season Gift duet.. While the SLAB BACON & Sausage assortment Gift Box for $119.99 are sure to be a favorite stocking stuffer. Lawdy mama, the online store ROCKS & your in-store gift shop, is absolutely superb." "Rock and Roll, hoochie koo, Lawdy mama, light my fuse Truck on out and spread the News!" OuiOui. Added to moi lists of "Home for the Holiday's" Speciality food places. Highest Recommendations. read more

We love stopping here. Turn right at the McDonalds from the interstate and its the fenced area to the left. Great store with lots of local nick nacks, Conecuh wear, local food stuffs. Pound sausage backs cheaper than you can get at the store. But the best is in the right side of the store. Its a sausage hot dog bar, with every flavor. Grab your bun, choose your sausage or dog and hit the bar for topping. They literally have every topping. Chili and cheese on a black pepper sausage was the best. Its self serve. Eat outside on one of their many tables. Fill your cooler and fill your belly. read more

Conecuh Sausage - Conecuh Spicy - Meat Shops Near Me - Evergreen, Alabama

I'd known about this place for a while but since it's pretty far from where I live I never managed to actually visit. Then last week I saw a tiktok where someone took a big slab of unsliced bacon and turned it into bacon burnt ends and that's when I knew that I had to make the journey here to this mecca of meat and retrieve a slab of that bacon for myself. I picked up a 9lb chunk of it and proceeded to get to work on turning into something that was both delicious and absurd, (see pics). I highly recommend that you do the same. In addition to offering huge chunks of bacon for sale, they have a variety of all their bacon/sausage related products and all sorts of other gift-shop-esque sorts of things. Imagine a buc-ee's and a bass pro shop got together and begat a meat centered hybrid of the two. They've got things to eat, things to buy, it's really clean, everyone is happy and if you go there you'll have a great time. If you're in the vicinity you'd be wrong to not stop and see it. If you're not and you need a massive chunk of bacon, it's worth the trip. read more

Delicious hot and sausage dogs. I recommend stopping in. Make your dog the way you like it with their nice selection of condiments and toppings. Grab a bag of chips and make it a combo. The store was clean and neat. Service was great. But man oh man were those dogs good. Oh and bonus. They have gifts, sauces, meats, mixes, etc., to purchase. We got a smoked turkey. It won't last the week. Christmas in April for me! read more

There dog park is amazing. The hot/sausage bar is amazing. Bathroom are amazing. The store is great; and has a great retail shopping area. Things that needs attention: trash detail. All the trash cans were all overfilled. Bathrooms, outside cans. Need a better process for food bar. Their setup doesn't keep up with demand. And in the high season (summer/spring) you should grill the dogs outside to keep up with high demand ... and some customers like their dogs grill-chard. read more

A Must-Stop Gem for Travelers... RV-Friendly, Great Food, and Amazing Amenities! We absolutely love stopping here when traveling through the area, and this visit was no exception... even while pulling our 5th wheel. There's a huge parking lot right across the street with a convenient walking path that leads straight over, making it super RV- and camper-friendly. Traveling with pets or kids? You're covered! There's a dog park right on-site, and a McDonald's next to the parking lot that you can walk to without having to cross any streets... super convenient for families. We had lunch here and enjoyed some seriously delicious chili cheese hot dogs. The shopping is wonderful too... we picked up a few small jars of jam for the road that were absolutely delicious. And I have to mention the restrooms... they are cleaner and nicer than any spa I've ever been to (and I've been to many!). Don't miss this absolute gem of a stop! read more

We stopped at the store in Alabama and had such a great time. Fantastic items, great prices and friendly service. The place reminded me of the old country store in my little home town. I will go back. read more

I first discovered this unique regional sausage on one of my visits to Alabama over thirty years ago and knew right away that I'd find lots of ways to enjoy this fantastic culinary treat. Until then I was convinced that Chourico and Linguica (Portuguese sausages) were the most delicious and versatile sausages on the planet but then came Conecuh Sausage, and it's become my southern choice for many dishes.  I have to start with how you pronounce the word "Conecuh", almost everybody has trouble with exactly what is sounds like. It's different from what you might think, it's ( Kah - Neck - Ah ).  Conecuh Sausage, an iconic brand hailing from the heart of Alabama, has been a staple in Southern cuisine since its inception in 1947. Founded by Henry Sessions in Conecuh County, the company has grown from a small-scale meat locker to a renowned producer of hickory-smoked sausages, known for their distinctive flavor and high-quality ingredients. The company's origins can be traced back to the Sessions Quick Freeze, where Henry Sessions initially created his signature sausage recipe. As the popularity of his smoked meats grew within the local community, Conecuh Sausage became a beloved household name, embodying the rich culinary traditions of the region. Today, Conecuh Sausage offers a range of products that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. Their six sausage varieties include the Original Conecuh Sausage, Cajun, Spicy & Hot, All-Natural, Reduced Fat, and No MSG options. In addition to sausages, the company also produces bacon, ham, and other smoked meat products, ensuring there is something for everyone. The bacon is crazy good too!!  Conecuh Sausage has expanded its distribution beyond the borders of Alabama, becoming accessible nationwide through partnerships with major retailers such as Walmart and Amazon. Its widespread availability has allowed lots of people across the US to experience the authentic taste of the South. Bottom line: Conecuh Sausage has come a long way since its inception in 1947, and if you're wandering what makes it so good, it's the fact that they use the highest quality meats, prepare them with their patented blend of seasonings, and smoking them over a pure hickory fire, and you can taste it in every bite. Whether it's a picnic, a party, or just plain breakfast, it's truly a taste of southern tradition. I highly recommend it, try some today!!  https://conecuhsausage.com/ Check out the recipes, tips, and chat on the Conecuh Life page on Facebook with its over thirty-two thousand members. I absolutely love Conecuh sausages and have been exclusive to them for many years. A friend and I stopped at the factory store on 1 August 2025, and were excited to give this a try. We were both severely disappointed in the quality of the food. Really disappointed. The sausages were extremely over-cooked and dry. The cole slaw tasted just OK but was of the consistency of sawdust. The mac and cheese was dry with not much cheese in it and little over-cooked pieces of sausage in it. Hard to believe, but this being the Conecuh store, this was without doubt the worst Conecuh sausage I have ever eaten. As I said at the beginning, I prefer Conecuh sausage above any other brand and I will continue using as always have. However, I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND that anyone dine at Conecuh Sausage Store. read more

This store is so nice and I did not expect it to be what it was! Inside on the right they have the entire set up with the different flavored sausages/ hot dogs on the rollers and the whole get up. Sauces, toppings, soda, everything you may want on it! Personally I don't eat the sausages from here because they give me really bad heartburn BUT I have had several flavors in the past and they have all been amazing! The rest of the store is like a little boutique style with different things like souvenirs for Conecuh, foods, freezers full of different goods, jarred goodies, so many different things! I really enjoyed coming here! The staff is super nice too and the facilities are very well upkept. The Pig sculpture outside is super fun outside too and just makes the trip fun! read more

I walked around this Sausage Mecca in a drooling stupor gazing at the selections and attempting to make a purchasing decision. I actually bumped into another customer a couple of times and had to apologize because she probably thought I was drunk. After wiping the drool from my face I selected a 4 lb package of sausage dogs and another package for my nephew. Also, I got a cracked black pepper dog on a steamed bun to consume in the parking lot. I noticed after returning home that the sausage in the Conecuh store is $2/lb cheaper than my local Publix. Next time I am loading up! Finally, I was impressed with the cleanness of the store including its restrooms.
