Over the past 3 years since I've been a patient in the practice, there have been multiple occasions where I've called the office for something that required a call back. Out of, let's say, 8 times total....I've gotten a call back from them once. Ever. Called yesterday to find out status on a prescription refill that the office had to deal with my health insurance company about. Was PROMISED (as usual) a call back. And as usual, no call back was received. So now I'm out of my blood pressure/cholesterol medication. Have I mentioned that I've never waited less than an hour past my appointment time to see the Dr.? Or that when I was doubled over with pain, which turned out to be a diagnosis of diverticulitis at the ER, I was told they have no time, and that I should just go to urgent care? Proof that as the owner of a medical practice, you're only as good as your support staff. Which, in this case, means....you're not so good.

I suppose its like getting an audience with the Queen, or better yet Beyonce, or getting to meet the pope and kiss his ring. I am a stickler for punctuality... So yes we were on time, for the pleasure of then waiting for 30 minutes. Parking is plentiful and all spots lead to a circular driveway, and a nice little building where every floor is decorated like a hotel. The lobby has a nice little pharmacy for convenience. The physicians and staff work hard to provide their patients with professional, personalized care. Patients are happy, and I am told that this is a good practice. The waiting room... And wait, you will! Is very streamlined, and uncluttered. The only reading material which is displayed outside of health related literature is the Good Book. If you're not interested in reading that, in the corner almost hidden are some magazines. The big screen monitor in the corner area of the waiting room features really interesting programs on a variety of health related topics. This little nicety earned them additional kudos... It was a hot day and I was grateful to see a cooler of cold water and cups to quench my hot summer, North Carolina afternoon thirst. Now a word about the restrooms. They are clean enough, but they could smell better. On the day I was there, the hand soap was running quite low. They also have a fairly large elderly patient base, it's not the worse idea to have more bathrooms available for patrons.

I arrive at the office and wait 10 mins only to be told I wouldn't be seen and needed to reschedule. Why tell me over the phone I can still come and have me drive 30 mins there to not see me?? I ended up at this office after my primary physician left their other location. Now despite needing medication, I will find another doctor's office before I make another appointment there. I've been at their Prosperity location for years but I'm done with Cabarrus Family medicine for good!

A while back I had to have a receptionist call to apologize to me because she thought she had the line on hold but I was able to hear everything she was saying and she was talking s*it about me. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because MOST of the actual doctors are nice, although there's been a couple of those that have been SEVERELY incompetent as well. If you want to have a pediatrician for your child that will be there and available to see your child for more than 2 visits then go elsewhere. Same for adults who like to stick to the same doctor for more than a couple appointments. Dr Rung and Dr Hayden (Anderson) are GREAT! That's the only positive feedback I can give.

He gives each patient all the time they need with him without rush to get to the next patient ... My first visit we spoke about my condition for more then 3 hours ! 3hours .. I was so ecstatic that I had found someone that would take the time to listen , really listen and try to help ! The hometown drs feels like part of my family now . It's a very relaxed but productive environment .. Im so blessed to have gotten Dr suggs to be my primary care physician ...
