This is an active cemetery with thousands of interments the most recent of which was September 2022, the time of this writing. Much of the cemetery is devoted to vertical headstones, but on the other side all the headstones are flush to the ground. There is a nice paved road that runs through the cemetery and all the headstones are neatly lined up and orderly. There are a number of headstones from the late 1800s but the vast majority are from the 20th century and later. After walking the grounds I could find no Texas historical plaque. Jennifer and the funeral home dropped the ball on a lot of thing. We waited hours for the hole to be dug as my loved one was hauled form funeral home to funeral home. And me and my family waited hours for hole to be dug. Also Jennifer could not spell names right on death certificate even though we spelt all the names out for her. Several mistakes where made. She even ordered the wrong casket. If I could go back in time and go with another funeral home I would.

There are about four gates for entry and there are several gravel roads including some paved portions running through the cemetery. The grounds are very well-maintained and there's even a building on the grounds which house heavy machinery. One thing I was not able to spot was a Texas historical marker, however there is one in the works and should be in place by 2023. The one thing that stands out about the cemetery is it sheer size and number of headstones which number easily into the many thousands. Apparently the daughter of Daniel Boone supposedly buried here. I found out that this cemetery is about 114 acres in size with several thousand plots still available if you want to make this your forever home. Even the photos in this review can't fully capture the size and scope of this place.

There are some headstones from the late 1800s, but the majority of them date from the 20th century. The cemetery sits on 1-2 acres just off County Road 401 and is flanked on three sides with farmland containing horses and cows. Many of the graves have German names and the older ones have German writing on them. The predominant names that I spotted here were Bittner and Krueger. By the name of the cemetery you may surmise that this is a Hispanic burial place. This cemetery that sits just on the outskirts of Taylor was established in 1947 and is still an active cemetery. It is a fairly small cemetery that sits on less than 2 acres and has a nice gravel road along the perimeter. There are quite a number of recent burials, and the cemetery is alive with the colors of visiting family members who decorate the graves. Most of these graves are adorned with personal trinkets and remembrances of those departed. At the back of the cemetery, you will find the graves primarily of infants and children. I did not find a Texas historical plaque here, nor any information regarding interment, however, information can most likely be found at the church of the same name in Taylor.

It's a small place but very comfortable and plenty of room for a good service. My best friend chose cremation for his child and the room for the viewing had projector screen for videos and sharing of the deceased life through a slide show. They also have it setup where you can play music through a laptop through the speakers in the room. There was a podium available so everyone who wanted to good give their speech and say their last words about the deceased. I definitely thinking about choosing this place for my future plans, it was very convenient and close to my home where I live in the area. Access to the facility from toll 130 is very easy to access no matter which side of the frontage road you're on. I will say parking is a premium if you have a lot of visitors for a funeral here. Over all great experience here visiting. I will recommend that the staff get a little technical savy. That was the only flaw that caught my eye.

The entire lot was full and I ended up parking in front of 5 cars- which turned out to be fine, but I just felt a low grade, mild dose of anxiety feeling bad for the cars I parked in front of during the event. FYI- Show up early and get a real parking spot. Or, if you have to leave early or don't want to be trapped, park somewhere else. The staff were great, rooms great, food area/reception was a bit tight for this event, but everything was handled nicely. Thanks Beck for helping us celebrate a beautiful woman!

This small one to two acre cemetery sits between the towns of Taylor and Elgin on SH-95. It is…read moresurrounded on all sides by farming community, however there is a gas station just a short walk away across the street. Virtually all of the graves here are of Germanic origin judging by all the names. There are also some notable names buried here such as Pfluger, Bittner and Goetz. I did find several headstones of Hispanic origin. The graveyard itself is nicely laid out and is well-maintained. This is still an active cemetery, as there are a couple of new arrivals. Near the front of the property sits a well constructed covering which is most likely used for funeral purposes. Two things I did not find were a Texas historical sign and an actual church on or near the property. Of all the hundreds of graves here, most are from the 20th century, but there are quite the number from the late 1800s. There still appears to be room for more occupants, in case you're looking for a place in the country to call your forever home. The photos included in this review fill in the rest.
