I have had several A/C service companies over the last 9 years service the A/C that was installed in the home we purchased new. Most of those companies had something good and something bad about them, except for one which was all Bad. Conditioned Air Solutions is the first company to leave me with a positive impression from the moment of first contact through the appointment process and resolution of my issue. First off I was referred to them by a close friend that is one of those "Research for six months before committing" people who if he has nothing negative to say, I know I can take his word for it. This put me on the path for choosing them in the first place as word of mouth goes a long way. The second thing that got me was the last "Expert" i had out who specialized in the split system I have for my bonus room, didn't realize they don't have ducts. So I was happy that when I talked to Victoria on the office staff she was smart enough to talk intelligently, even before the tech came out. The scheduling and discussion went smooth and matched my schedule, they came out that day. Adam, the Tech came out and looked at our issue. The recommendation involved some equipment options and he detailed them in depth and recommended that I do some research to ensure I was sure which way I wanted to go. Having someone tell you "Hey do some internet shopping and check the specs" after laying out their findings and recommendations shows they are not afraid that you will find different information or be enticed to go cheap and do it yourself afterwards. Since I had already been doing my research, and had seen the options Adam had recommended and knew which way I wanted to go I asked how soon before they could do it. The answer amazed me, TODAY. He had the equipment on his truck and did it then. I'm sure this is not typical, especially if you need a compressor or something like that. Mine was a control system issue so apparently they keep them on the vehicle. Yes, I could have bought the equipment myself, I could have installed it myself, it would have been a little cheaper, BUT I had a professional, listened and insured specialist do it and my work is warranted. The prices were discussed up front and agreed to so no surprise, The service charge for coming out was low, reasonable and rolled into the fix. The fix has worked well and I'm very happy with it. So for my family's situation this was a no brainer. The team that helped me has been so nice and professional. The Tech was professional in appearance, presentation and performance, and if you have had people come to your home for service before you know what that means in this area. It was great! Just me, I plan to stick with them as long as I continue to get service like this. My HVAC system is 9 years old so I expect they will install my new one when this one dies. read more

JTB: Have been in the area about five years - home was built in '78 - original ducting, 11 year old "system." For the 4th winter, the heat pump wouldn't bring the temp up to 65 without "Emergency Heat" ($$$ resistance heating), so we decided it was time for replacement. We researched several HVAC companies, drafted an RFP that included a heat/cooling load calculation (Manual-J), and replacement of the entire system - including ducts. Of the three companies we chose for bids, Jordan, from CAS, was the only one that spent time inspecting nearly all of the system, pointing out the issues with ducting insulation and routing, air-handler condition and placement, and other problems. Based on all the information he gathered, and a fancy piece of software, he submitted a bid that spec'd sizes and capacities, as well as detailed pricing for optional systems and features. We'd opted for the 18-SEER Daikin system - with the 12 year warranty, and variable-speed everything. We also signed up for the service plan - pretty reasonable too. CAS was not the highest nor lowest bid, but we feel we got the best system and installation. (I was able to save quite a bit by contributing a couple hours and 6 sacks of Quickrete - and pouring a new pad for the condenser.) The techs showed up on time, took great care to cover carpets, and cleaned up every day. They even brought portable AC's for the couple of warm, humid days that were expected. Tech's did a great job in the attic - it looks very professional, and a lot less restrictive. Everyone was friendly, personable, and willing to answer any questions we had, to whatever detail we asked. Estimated 5 days, but done in 4. An outstanding crew, all around - including the office staff. Too bad there's not a sixth star on the rating scale, we'd give them that one. My air conditioner needs Freon. Called Conditioned Air Solutions of Huntsville, AL. They sent a young guy out within 30 minutes - great, so far so good. I told them when I called that all I needed was Freon - a recharge. The young man hooked up his gauges, said I needed about six pounds, my unit was really low and that the first pound of Freon (because it's getting more expensive) is $220.00 and each pound thereafter is $50/pound. He said since it was an old unit (10 years old) and that I'd be better off putting in a new unit. How much for a new one I asked? He said between $6800 and $8000.00 dollars. I told him I could buy a LOT of Freon for $8000.00! He said I wouldn't be able to get it in five years so I'd be better off putting in a new unit now! Wow, what logic! Why spend $8000 in five years when you can spend it today! Really? Freon has gone up in price, got it. But when I called to complain about the first pound costing $220 dollars, the main office said that that included the diagnostic charge. I asked what the $79 site call charge was for and he said it was to diagnose the system! Uh Hello? They were aggressively pushing the purchase of a new unit and doing so by making the cost of Freon and a recharge SO expensive that you just go ahead with a new unit. My ass! I wouldn't use these guys if I were in death valley and they were the ONLY company able to fix my aircon. Rip off artists. Watch yourselves with this company. Better yet, go with someone else. You don't have to be deceptive with people to make a profit and a GOOD living! Do NOT USE! read more

I've been a customer of Conditioned AIr Solutions for nearly 5 years. I have always been impressed with their superior service: they call before coming out, they show up on time, they are knowledgeable and thorough, and they are honest and upfront on their pricing. Facing major costly repairs I decided to replace the system, so they sent out Greg Dubroca to design our new system. He was extremely thorough in his assessments and calculations and really seemed to know what he was talking about and genuinely cared about matching us with the system we wanted. Words cannot express how impressed my wife and I were with his installation guys, Greg Major and Jacob Pierce. These guys worked for two days in our attic ripping out the junk the builder put in and beautifully installing new ductwork, Infinity air handler and 2 stage Carrier Infinity heatpump. They were both very meticulous and cleaned up after themselves. (We had to add returns and registers which required cutting through the ceiling a few times) They took pictures and were both proud of their job well done. Jeff Clark made sure the new InfinityTouch thermostat was configured properly on our WiFi network and loaded on my Droid phone. To top it off, the city inspector came out this morning to inspect it and said," I haven't seen this clean of an install in many years." read more

I Called "Conditioned Air Solutions" to service my furnace. The technician correctly fault isolated the problem to the control board. Their price for a new board was $697. I told them not to bother obtaining the control board. I called another company and they replaced the board for less than $150. With labor it was less than $240. The "Conditioned Air Solutions" technician made multiple attempts to sell me a maintenance package. The maintenance package was $150. With the maintenance package I would have gotten $100 off on the $697 board. Essentially I could have paid only $597 for a $150 control board. In the maintenance package, they do not repair anything. I would not recommend this company! read more

Greg Duplechain is one of the Best HVAC technicians that I have come across in all my years. Our Furnace heater went out on our system and he came by diagnosed the problem very quickly. (on Short Notice) The replacement part for our older system was not available here locally; However, he ordered the "Gas Valve Part" and had it in hand very early the next morning for replacement. He was at my door very early around 0800 hrs with part in hand and fixed the problem. He was very Professional, timely, efficient, courteous an knowledgeable of his craft. After a thorough product and cost analysis, we chose Conditioned Air. Their cost was competitive and their 12 year parts, labor, and freon was second to none. We had three Daikin HVAC systems installed in our home over a three day period (two dual-fuel, one split heat pump plus ozone air quality filtration). Chris and Daniel did an outstanding job. They are hard working, conscientious and respectful. Separate Quality Control specialists oversaw the project each step of the way. They clearly took pride in their workmanship. My air conditioner was leaking water into my attic and Conditioned Air came out and flushed my drain line to get it working again. I mentioned in a follow up phone call that the technician didn't check the aqua sensor (that is supposed to detect overflowing water) and they sent Adam S. back out at no charge to me to inspect the sensor. Adam found that the sensor had not been installed correctly by the house's previous owner and within 5 minutes had the sensor operational again! read more
