    Stone Accents of Wilmington

I cannot recommend him.  Find someone else. In April of 2025 I contracted with Chris Natale of…read moreStone Accents of Wilmington to remove an existing 150sf flagstone walk in my side/back yard and install a tightly joined paved walkway with polymeric sand and plastic edging, level with the existing grass. I eventually learned that he has no employees and he subcontracts all his work. The paver team he hires could not start work for a while and he said I should go to the store and pick from some pavers he suggested. The team became available to start in August. When he went to order the pavers, he found he had underestimated and wanted me to absorb the additional cost which was clearly his mistake so I declined.  I had already paid him the third he wanted but he kept asking me for more. After the pavers were installed it turned out a sprinkler head had been buried under the walk even though it had been clearly marked with an irrigation flag. They fixed it. But the grass on both sides of the walk did not meet the walk as promised and the paving team wasn't going to fix it. He continued to demand payments and threatened to take me to court.  In mid September he brought a bag of top soil and some small strips of sod and made an attempt at installing it personally.  The pavers are now falling apart because he didn't know what he was doing and put so little dirt that the grass still does not meet the edging/pavers.   Find someone else; don't use him.  Get Outlook for iOS

We had Stone Accents put up and stone retention wall in the Spring of 2019. Their solution to their mistake was to charge an additional $2000 and add an additional layer of block about half way the wall. I expressed concerns about the construction and stability and was assured they had never had a problem. During the hurricane a large section of wall collapsed into my neighbors yard. Now less than a year later the wall has started to lean from the weight of the dirt we added to our yard which was the purpose of the retention wall. Chris subcontracts this work out and is not responsive or attentive to the work being performed. I would not recommend Stone Accents for any project much less a retention wall.
