I'm so thankful for the wonderful care my two daughters receive at Concordia Place. The teachers are kind, patient, and truly care about each child. Teacher B at the preschool and Mr Sam are awesome with my toddler! They are so caring, patient, and make learning fun. Ms Frenchy and Ms Liz are wonderfull for my infant too. I like all the teacher there. My girls are always excited to go to daycare, and I can see how much they've learned and grown -- both socially and academically. The environment is safe, clean, and full of fun activities that keep the kids engaged and happy. I really appreciate the regular updates and photos, which make me feel connected to what they're doing each day. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a loving and supportive place for my daughters! read more

Concordia Place - Child Care & Day Care Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

My son went to Concordia for 2 years and he loved it! Mr.B, Ms. Fifi, and everyone in the preschool room was great. Also ms. Riley in the 2s room, my son still talks about all of them. Never had any issues with Carolyn or Jennifer in the office! We felt our son was safe and cared for, which was a huge relief considering we didn't leave him with many people. Highly recommend Concordia place at Ravenswood! read more

My child spent two years and all my concerns brought up to the director were always dismissed. The Twos class specifically has a serious amount of issues. The classroom constantly watch an abundant amount of screen time that is over the appropriate limit for a child under three. In addition, the classroom was constantly filthy with food on the floor from morning breakfast time up until closing. The bathroom area is absolutely disgusting too, and I've seen children allowed unsupervised. I realize that potty training begins at 2, but how can they trust toddlers to not play in the toilet area without anyone watching? The director continually dismissed my concerns without showing any empathy. I'd recommend another location instead. read more

My son started here March of 2024 and was withdrawn February of 2025 During our TOUR prior to his first day: A teacher whom did not know I was present made a comment about "my sons name being super weird". Followed by the Asst Director: Jennifer's comment of "I apologize for that. We encourgae diversity here" (My son being mixed latino and AA) Then, I should have known this was not the best fit for us: However, I excused the ignorance. During my son's enrollment period between March 2024 and Feb 2025 my son: -Has come home with a missed bottle feeding while on an accommodated eating schedule -Signed out by a director on accident who then did not correct the system nor answer 6 missed calls of mine before I arrived frantically -"Pushed" to the point of nearly needing stitches, (he received butterfly stitches) leaving him blue and purple for a week and scaring his face -Came home with a busted lip -Scratch marks on his face and chest -Bite marks on his arms and back -Half-dressed upon pick-up and when asked the teacher why? They laugh and say "i'm not sure" -Moved to another class without notice to "relieve a teacher" yet the next day at an even later time my son was 1:1 in his class with Ms. Maggie with no transition needed? -Sent home in the wrong diaper more than 5x -yet I was just informed they were all moved to a specific area where they won't be mixed with others. -Gash on his forehead that was bleeding upon pick up yet "no one knows how it got there because he was playing alone" Caroline the "director" was very dismissive and ignorant when ALL these issues were mentioned MULTIPLE TIMES. I was even told my issues weren't issues but more "vent" sessions! They also reasoned their lack of attention to my issues by mentioning my income?? and suggested I seek a DIAPER RESOURCE BANK as if that would make a difference in them putting my son in the wrong diaper constantly. PLEASE VERY carefully select where you choose to leave your child. The center may take assistance programs, and the aesthetic is more pleasing than not; however, these teachers and directors are not concerned about the care being given more than their enrollment numbers and funding. I will NEVER recommend CP to another parent. read more

It took me a while to post this review but I believe it's necessary for transparency. This location was recommended to me by a former employee. My son began attending Concordia at 6 months. Maybe a month into his care we began to receive assessments with concerns about his social emotional development. I was a but confused because he was only 6 months and we were still in the middle of a pandemic. I'm a first time mom so I took a lot of the assessment to heart until I realized they were assessing him at 10-12 month scale. They practiced self soothing skills, which I understood but I don't believe works for ever child. My son required a bit more attention. Maybe just a hug or a quick pick up to calm him down, but instead I received videos of him crying because he wanted to be picked up by the care giver and I'm guessing she didn't have the capacity to do that. The final straw was the concern about his speech development. All staff were required to wear a mask, yet the Director did not see a direct correlation between lack of development in speech and the babies not being able to see the staffs mouths. I made the decision to transfer my son to a new facility and he is thriving like never before. He's now 2 and reading books, counting past 100 and is showing excellent social emotional skills. I also realized Concordia is play based and his new facility is STEM based. I see a lot of other wonderful reviews, but this was my experience. read more

I feel absolutely so lucky that my 17 month old attends Concordia Place for day care! He LOVES it! I have been in the field of child development and education for over 20 years, and I can tell you from my knowledge and experience, they are going above and beyond when it comes to the well-being of my child! I only WISH he could go full-time because he loves it so much. The teachers and staff are so friendly, caring and warm. The space is inviting, clean (they were exceptional during the past two very difficult years), and so cute. The children are always busy doing something fun, and are engaged in great activities! They utilize an app that gives you pictures, messages, updates, etc. and the communication is great. The children always seem happy (I mean, there are a few crying and maybe a few little reluctant tots, but that is normal!) and engaged. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful center! I hope they receive more funding to expand. I would love for my kiddo to attend until he reaches Kindergarten. Thank you, Caroline, Rocio, Ms. Frenchy, Ms. Aza and everyone else. Your work is valuable and you are appreciated! read more

Concordia Place - My little one is always doing fun projects and having a great time! - Child Care & Day Care Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Loved having our daughter here in the infant room. The teachers were always attentive and really took an interest in her and her care.

Our son has been a Concordia kid for the last eight months, and we could not be happier. His days are filled with activity, his teachers seem genuinely invested in his development, and the management team is accessible and responsive whenever we have a question or concern. The facility itself is always clean and well maintained. Proximity to the Metra station is also a huge bonus, allowing easy drop off and pick up in a way that lines up great with our daily commute. On top of all these perks, the pricing is very competitive - more than fair, in our opinion. We have worked with two other day cares prior to landing at Concordia, and while we didn't dislike those centers, a major difference is teacher turnover. It used to seem like every week, we were handing our baby over to some new stranger. But all of the Concordia staff have been consistent since we started, which is very reassuring for all of us (including our son!) This sends a message that the team is treated well and that they feel valued in return - which is key, since you obviously don't want someone who hates their job taking care of your child. At Concordia, every employee seems happy and invested in what they are doing. It's great. If you are looking for top-tier child care options in Ravenswood and the surrounding areas, look no further than Concordia. read more

My son has attended Concordia for most of his life and he's terrific. I have to attribute at least some of that success to Concordia! In seriousness, this is a great new day care. The location is outstanding, especially if you use the Ravenswood Metra station, the staff is caring and intelligent, and the facility is the cleanest space filled with children all day you'll ever see. While this location and name are brand new, it's tied to the existing infrastructure of the Concordia Place locations, so it's not 100% new on the scene. I can't speak to the curriculum for the kids in the toddler room, but it seems like a solid mix of play and structured activity. For the little ones, they adhere to any schedules you're keeping at home and have been great about every thing our son needs. More than anything else, when you walk into daycare unannounced in the middle of the day, you want to see that your child is being cared for. This staff loves these kids. That can't be overstated. read more

Our LO started at Concordia Day at 3 months and is now a little over a year. The teachers all know her and us well, and we can tell that they care about her growth and development. We trust her teachers so much that we also ask them to watch our daughter for us when we have nights out. The facilities are beautiful and open to allow for lots of light. They provide a weekly plan for education and enrichment that includes art, reading and physical activities, scaled up or down depending on your child's age and development. Once your child is eating solids, they get a lunch and two snacks everyday, all organic and flexible for different diets. The foods my daughter eats are much better than my lunches most days! The center also hosts community engagement events. Last month I took my daughter to a Saturday gingerbread house making event. They have monthly music and movement classes on Saturdays, and other special events throughout the year. I cannot recommend this center enough. All of the staff from Ms. Aza down are smart, engaged and care about the children. And the center is right across from a Metra stop - what could be more convenient! read more

We sent our daughter to Concordia after we had been in a nanny share for 18 months. We were nervous about her adjusting since she does not warm up quickly to new people or environments. However, the staff did a great job getting our LO comfortable with everyone and the new routine! Seeing our daughter excited to go see her teachers and friends every day was the most reassuring feeling as a parent. I highly recommend Concordia. read more

We sent our son to Concordia Day 12 weeks after he was born. We were very happy with the teachers and the directors. The school is new, so well designed in its layout, and the staff is diligent with the upkeep. The staff, wonderful people, attentive to the children and they kept us informed on how our son was doing. We were given/told info on what he was learning and the progress he was making. Being first time parents we had a level of anxiety about leaving our son with "strangers" for the day, they were very patent and understanding about our concerns as we adjusted to the many changes our family was going through. We have moved out of town recently which is the only reason out son is no longer attending Concordia Day. I will happily recommend it to anyone I know in the area. read more

My wife and I had our first child last year. Like all first-time parents we were nervous about who would care for our daughter while we had to return to work to look at our computers all day long. We toured Concordia and decided this would be the best place for her. Our daughter is thriving at Concordia. The staff is truly wonderful. They do a great job helping our kid stick to the routine we've established for her, and also make helpful suggestions based on what they are seeing throughout the day. Each week there is a learning plan distributed to the parents so we can see the different activities that the kids are up to. You can tell that she loves her teachers and that they provide an engaging, loving space for her to learn, play, and grow. A great bonus is that the daycare is located across the street from the Ravenswood Metra stop. So we can just drop our child off and then head upstairs to the train and wait until the train is delayed and from there it's only a few blocks to the Brown line. My wife and I highly recommend Concordia. read more

We have been taking our daughter to Concordia Day for about a year and a half now, and we are so glad that we found Concordia Day. The teachers really care about the children, and it is so nice to know that our daughter is being cared for so well. The administration does a great job of updating the parents on events and changes and provides great individual feedback. We really like that class plans and developmental achievements are shared in an app. We also love seeing pictures from the day that are shared as well. We see daily that she is learning new things, and we know that Concordia Day is a huge part of that. read more

We have been very pleased with our family's experience at Concordia Day. Our son has been attending for four months and he is now 18 months old. We value the nurturing atmosphere--not only do the teachers genuinely love and develop the kids, but the kids enjoy being around one another as well. We also appreciate the consistent communication--every day we are provided with a mini report of our son's meals, diapers, nap, and activities. We also find the staff very responsive. For example, this was the only place in the neighborhood we could find that was willing to accommodate our cloth diapering. Finally, the location is a huge plus--the door to Concordia is directly across from the inbound Metra platform, making for a seamless commute. We are glad Concordia Day came to Ravenswood and look forward to getting even more involved with the organization. read more

We were thrilled to have found Concordia Day last fall. We had been touring daycares in the area and hadn't found one that felt right for our family until we saw CD. We love how open and sunny the facility is. We were thrilled with the yard and gym. The mission of Concordia is amazing. Once we met the Directors and some of the staff, we knew this would be a good fit. And we were right. We've been so happy at Concordia Day, and so are our children. They love the directors, teachers, assistants, and ask to go to "school". The teachers and directors are very caring and communicative. Our children have created so many fun projects, and learn so much! read more

I can't say enough good about Concordia Ravenswood. Our daughter went there an unfortunately short time, from January through early March, when COVID-19 hit. My husband and I are both home for now, so we pulled her out... but we are so sad about it and hope to be back as soon as possible. Why? This place is professional and warm, and the staff and teachers have been excellent. Our daughter was in the baby room, where it must be hard to educate/entertain, but they did it. In her very short time there, I feel she learned a bunch of new things, and it was so fun to get regular updates and even artwork (!!) sent home. I'm a very anxious person/mom and researched the heck out of day cares and this was my favorite. I was not disappointed by the reality. And speaking of anxiety: Aza and Hannah and everyone else were happy to talk to me and give me updates whenever I called to check on my daughter. Nobody acts like you are bothering them. I felt she was safe and cared for and learning. And they even did daily Zoom meetings during the shutdown. I'm almost worried to leave such a good (and true) review because I want them to have a spot for us when we're ready to come back. Love this place. read more

Our LO has attended Concordia Day since she was an infant. She's now 2.5. She LOVES this place and her teachers. So do we. We originally started at Concordia because they were the only daycare that offered part time. Downside is they aren't close to home and the trip does add 30 min to our commute. So after several months of going there and her transitioning to full time, we considered looking into other daycares that are closer. But we got so sad thinking about leaving all the people and friends that we decided to stay! It's a lovely place where everyone cares. LO is constantly talking about her friends and they learn so much every day. I love the art she brings home. And there's music class every week. I really love how open and airy the space feels. You can see everything that's going on and that gives me peace of mind. The best news is they are opening a room for 3-4yo which means we get to stay even longer! read more

Concordia Day- Ravenswood was an excellent experience and we would still be here if we had not moved out of state. It actually makes me really sad thinking our daughter is not there with her teachers and friends as I type this. My child was here for almost two years. She came in the toddler room at 18 months and left at almost 3.5 year while in the preschool room. My number one priorities have always been safety, comfort, and learning. I can confidently say that Concordia Day exceeded my expectations. I never worried about her safety or her being lonely or afraid. The staff and teachers are incredible- always showing her love, support, comfort, and teaching her. I get many compliments on my daughter's vocabulary and communication. I credit much of her growth and development to the wonderful staff here. They truly care and go above and beyond. Not to mention she made some amazing friends here. The kids and Concordia families are so welcoming and friendly. We miss Concordia so much! I highly recommend! read more

We've been very happy with Concordia Day. Our 2 year old races in to see his teacher every morning and our infant is rested and full of smiles every evening at pick up. The teachers truly care about each child, focusing on individual needs and balancing well with the larger group. Concordia Day feels fresh and clean and everything is run with the utmost professionalism. Communication has been great and whenever we ask the infant teacher to try to work with whatever sleep or eating phase/routine we are embarking on it is clear that they are doing everything they can to execute our wishes. I highly recommend Concordia Day. They have truly raised the bar when we compare them to other childcare facilities we've visited or used. read more

The moment we took the tour, we felt comfortable and excited about our daughter going to Concordia Day. Everyone here is like extended family. They celebrate all the big & little milestones, and patiently handle the rollercoaster of a growing infant (and sleep-deprived parents). We love how, even at 6 weeks, our daughter was encouraged to learn & explore through sight, sound and touch. With the small infant classroom size, she gets lots of attention from her teachers and has formed the cutest bonds with her baby friends. We have a great relationship with the teachers, who do a fantastic job of filling us in on what they did that day. Plus, we get a daily log of when she ate, slept & diaper changes. My partner is out of town often; however, he feels just as in the loop as when he's here. The Ravenswood location is new, so there is a budding sense of community among the parents (we all seem to live in the neighborhood). The open space was a little surprising at first, but it has helped teach our daughter to sleep even when there's noise around her. Also, she sees the other teachers, so when she's ready to graduate to the older classrooms - she already knows them. Two other things we appreciate are the multiple levels of security and organic food (not gonna lie, she's probably eating healthier at CD than at home). We know that our daughter will have an amazing day when she's at Concordia Day - and we couldn't ask for a more ideal location. A Metra station is literally across the street! As first-time parents, the peace of mind we have with Concordia Day is priceless. We know our daughter is happy, healthy, safe and loved. read more
